Three Musketeers / Homemade Candy Bars Series ep. 3

These 3 Musketeers bars took awhile to make, not gonna lie, but they were better than the real thing, in my opinion! And everyone at work agreed! They thought they were also better than the homemade Kit Kats (video coming shortly). It was a simple process and only uses 3 ingredients. I would suggest using chocolate melting wafers instead of chocolate chips, though, as they seem not to melt in your hands as easily.

Homemade Three Musketeer Candy Bars
Ingredients:
8 ounce tub of Cool Whip, defrosted
4 cups chocolate chips (or chocolate melting wafers)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Directions:
Melt 2 cups of chocolate chips in a medium sized bowl.
Pour the melted chocolate into a large bowl and mix for 45 seconds. This will cool down the chocolate and get some air into it.
Add the tub of Cool Whip and mix for 60 seconds. Batter will get thick.
Scoop into an 8" x 8" pan lined with parchment paper.
Freeze for 30 minutes.
Place onto a cutting board and cut into squares.
Put squares on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
Freeze for another 30 minutes.
Melt remaining 2 cups of chocolate chips.
Add vegetable oil and mix well.
Dip bars into chocolate and place back onto cookie sheet or onto another cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
If bars get soft, put them back into the freezer for about 15 minutes.
Once bars are all dipped in chocolate, put in freezer for about 20 minutes or until chocolate is hardened.
Makes about 45 1" squares.
Store in the refrigerator.
