    You could also try using a hair dryer to warm the glue under the sticker before trying to peel it off.

    Love it. I had no idea there was a pre-existing metal coupler, I’d only ever seen the 3D print ones!

      I meant to put in a note to not trust the 3D printed ones, as the sabers are just WAY too heavy for that. But yeah, that metal one was the only one I'd trust before this new one.
      Now... not sure what I'm going to do with it. lol

    Just use goo gone to remove the sticky residue

    WD 40 is also great at removing sticky residue from stuff.

    Does anyone know if it’s possible to use the Savis coupler to join a savis saber and the Maul shadow legacy saber?

      @@Outlander_man It is not. Totally different connector, unfortunately.

    I went there last month and missed so many things to buy.😭
    My route was explore the galaxy’s edge and go on some rides and browse store along the way, then I remembered there should be a build your own saber somewhere, and asked one of the staff to take me there, which was my final activity in galaxy’s edge.
    When I did some research on the Savi’s saber today I wanted to see light sabers made by others, then I learned you can buy kyber crystals and saber mounts and more in the store, by the time I saw them I thought they were just some decoration items… 😭😭😭

      Some of the items you can buy off Disney Store dot com (inventory changes frequently). But yeah, for a lot of the smaller items it's a matter of either getting them in the park, having someone else pick them up for you on their trip, or overpay for them on eBay/FB/etc.

    You got to be careful with acetone since it strips paint. People who paint miniatures use acetone on metal ones but not plastic one. Acetone will eat through plastic.
    It makes me wonder if the couplers can be used with the Legacy sabers as well. Asajj, Cal, and Maul (both versions) have their own couplers so probably not with those.

    • @Fanporium
      @Fanporium  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These couplers can not be used with Legacy lightsabers. The Savi's sabers have a different threading for the pommel than any of the Legacy sabers.

  • @novax1188

    Do you know is this can connect a legacy lightsaber?

    • @Fanporium
      @Fanporium  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, this only works with the Savi's lightsabers.
      The Legacy lightsabers all have different pommel connectors, so even the few that do have staff couplers (like Maul, Cal, Ventress, etc) can't use the same couplers as each other.

  • @sirt3abaggins
    @sirt3abaggins ปีที่แล้ว

    Can the connector work along with other legacy sabers or the FX ones like Revan's or such?

    • @Fanporium
      @Fanporium  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Unfortunately, no. This coupler only works with the Savi's lightsabers.
      The Legacy sabers not only have different threading than the Savi's, they have different threading from saber to saber. So even the ones that do have couplers (like Maul, Temple Guard, etc) aren't compatible with one another.

      @@Fanporium Damn what fun we could've had as fans to mix our savi sabers with known character ones wouldve really felt like Jedi survivor

    • @Fanporium
      @Fanporium  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You still can. You just need a 3D printer and a lot of time to devote to making your own custom couplers. :-)

    i really hope they make different kinds of couplers with matching or non-matching designs to go with the 4 styles, i'm gonna be getting a protection & defense which will clash with my peace & justice but i don't care about that

    • @Fanporium
      @Fanporium  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s a really good point. Sales would probably have to be really high for them to have four different versions. But it would be great to see.
      Of course, if you’re clever, you could probably do some amazing things with paint and metal stains to make it match more. But most of us don’t have that skill.

  • @PinhyDD
    @PinhyDD ปีที่แล้ว

    Is this CURRENT?! I had no idea these existed, never heard anyone talk about them. It seems you are using the older scrap metal sets so just wondering. Looks like it perfectly matches the OLD Peace & Justice and maybe could be used with Power & Control. As for NEW kits...maybe the Peace & Justice and thats it.

    • @Fanporium
      @Fanporium  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the coupler just came out a few weeks ago. The sabers I've had for a few years, that's why they're the older ones.
      The fact that the coupler only comes in one design is something I forgot to mention. I haven't seen anyone show photos of it with all four of the new scrap designs yet. But I suspect it will look great on P&J, decent on P&C and P%D, not sure about EN.
      I wish I had some of the new ones so I could do a comparison.
