It reminds me of an old book. I don't recall the name but it was insect warriors that rode dragonflies, bees, and wasp. At the end of the book you findout they were actually insect size to the world they lived in.
i dont get how this was the shortest cartoon ever made it unally went up to 65 eps as the max some cartoons have 13 eps but this only had five they shold of kept on going
It would have been interesting to see what would have been next if they had continued and it eventually become a series. You see glimpses of the Creeper insectoid weapons that were never released in toy form (the saw-type beetle and the green dart-like insect), and there were at least 2 more characters intended for each side. For whatever reason, it never caught on.
I was born in the late 70's but I most definitely remember this one!!! I had alot of the toys made from the series. They were about 8 to 10 inches tall and the mounts had gloves attached on the bottom to put your hand in to control their movement.
Since Hasbro now owns them, imagine if they reissued them like they do with G1 transformers, or Mattel's masters reissued. OR Give Sectaurs the Masters of the Universe classics take. A 3rd party company IS starting to make a 4 inch scale figure line of them, now.
Oh man, I have 4 big bug hand puppet things and the 4 action figures to go with them. I also used to have the hive playset that I got from a yardsale. I never even knew they had made a cartoon out of it. Fucking amazing. I want a Sectaurs t-shirt!
i had most of the comics run at one point, only a few left. some of my favorite toys. figures about the mid point in size between heman and 12inch action figure/dolls. decent articulation points for most of the humanoid figures and solid construction that didn't fall apart the way some of cheaper figures of their size would.
The biggest reason the toys didn't catch on was parents (Moms) weren't to keen on the Bug theme of the toys. Also for being in the 80's the price point was rather high. I can personally remember asking for these and my parents pointing out I could buy 2-3 He-man for on Sectaur....Guess which way I leaned !!!
i had most of these, and they were not as expensive as some other toys of the era, despite what you posted. sure the larger ones, spidrax and dagon flyers, and the battle beetle rider were more, but then again ,even heman and gi joe vehicles were more then the figures any way. compared to todays poor quality toys for double hte price of the 80's figures, it wasn't too bad.

Gunh3d1 The folks at Warner Archive say they've no plans for this as this was a "work-for-hire" project. The toy line would at present be under Hasbro ownership -- Hasbro bought out the bankrupt Coleco in 1989.

That was pretty good. If the series had continued I would have liked to learn more about tella-bonding. I love a good mon-series, but I never thought I'd come across one pre-Pokemon.
Man cartoons from the 80s were so out there .I LOVE IT
true true they were super good back in the good old days

I wish that sectaurs was a full-time series it's exciting. 😀👍
It was ment to be a full series. It was just ahead of its time. If they would try to do it now it might do better.

Lack of more stories. Masters of the Universe had a few 100 episodes.
Sadly, in those days, you needed a tv show to sell toys.
"I have heard of the horrors of the Forbidden Realm."
"No one has ever returned from the Forbidden Realm."
Um, which is it sir? 😆🤣
3:00 the scorpion getting its tail chopped off is pretty graphic for a show in those days in the states.
I was born in the 80s and I swear I learn about cartoons I NEVER even heard of back then. WTF

i remember playing with zack and his dog, they were awesome toys.
me too
The comic books of this is AWSOME!!!!
I had the action figures and the giant insects with the glove on the bottom. Classic
Hell yes!!! Me too!! They had fur on the giant mounts. I think their antenna glowed in the dark.
Thanks so much for posting this. Had the comics, but had never gotten to see the cartoon.
WOW! Only legendary people on voices casting!
THE BEST TOYS EVER!!!!!!!!

Nice I haven't seen this since it was run 25 years back. I must find that VHS. Thanks.

Had the toys. Was awesome, I wish they had more than five episodes.
Wow, I thought this would never be posted. Thanks!
Thx so much for uloading it!!
Still no signs of a DVD release...:(
i hope it will come to dvd one day
Thank you for this series. It was enjoyable.

If I was a rich man...I'd make a movie of this. In the style of the comic books!
In the 2020's it could be an epic movie/ series. It's all according to who was cast for the characters.
Chris Hemsworth would be a good Dargon. Maby Mantor could be R.D.J. or Josh Brolin.
Michael Rooker or Ralph Fiennes would be a great Spidrax.
This used to come on at like 10:30 pm on Philly 57 yrs ago
that's evening, comedy was on at that night, dude; Sectaurs was on somewhere in the morning or afternoon
and I think WPIX aired it too in the morning
i hope i will come to dvd soon one day
Forget about your ground tubers. They should just cook up the limbs they just lobbed off the scorpion. 🤣
Thanks for sharing!!!

Very cool
80'S CARTOONS ARE THE BEST
true true
Nah it's the 2000s
Dargon: FOR THE SHINING REALM!
Thank you. Great episode.
To be continued my butt!
Is this uploaded anywhere else without the image stabilisation on? TH-cam's stabilisation is making me seasick.
I appreciate that this is the best copy of this episode I've seen, but that zoomed in wobble effect is really nauseating.
Ha! I had that 6 legged dog.. Forget name
red rocket
Spidrex = Grom Hellscream?
WTF I never knew Sectaurs had a show lol
I think it was only shown a few times. This is the first time I seen the 5 part series since 1985.
Story no ending
*one Sectaur (that typo was going to bother me)
this was the final episode an it was to be continued??
Was the final episode.
The weird panning filter you've put on this video makes me dizzy
👍💯
show
I have Sectaurs and Dino-Riders. Message me I trade for other toons.
Gotta wonder how much the voice actors cringed with this kind of dialog for these '80s cartoons.
