    There is something strangely admirable about the way these cartoons perfected the art of aggresively lore-dumping the entire premise of their show directly into a child's brain in under a minute.

      All any discussion of war needs is a sick beat and some funny voices saying a clunky half-baked slogan and it’s got my interest.
      Probably how a certain funny voiced warlord got so many people to go to his massive parades/dance parties.

      hmn sound like transformer to me - no wonder you can't find it , but i think robotix - description of there robot is more realistic than transformer robot men -- since ... look inrealistic term , so everyone here anyone realized that in transformer they just walking metal escaping from cybertron to here , no explanation - and this movies explain about that , nice.

    Just so people know, Robotix was a construction kit line by Milton Bradley (subsidiary of Hasbro) in the same sort of toy as Meccano construction kits or Erector Sets and K'Nex. A short lived comic and cartoon were made to try and promote these sets. The comic was published by Marvel while Sunbow AND Marvel Productions produced the cartoon for the Super Saturday/Super Sunday/Super Week show, to promote this line with Jem, Bigfoot and the Muscle Machines and Inhumanoids, That's why they were able to recycle music pieces from G.I. Joe/Transformers and Inhumanoids as they were ALL by the same composers; Johnny Douglas and Robert Walsh and use the same Los Angeles based talent pool of actors for the characters. And YES four bars of the theme do sound like the song 'Ghostbusters' by Ray Parker Jr. It was a coincidence. The toys, cartoon and mini comic only lasted a year. The characters sadly did not appear like the construction kits, with the exception of Argus and there was no good vs. evil conflict. Just build the biggest motion toy that you can through multiple parts.

    • @JoshDarnell

      I have Bront and his construction kit version looks pretty close to the cartoon version minus the pincer arms.

    • @David315842
      @David315842 9 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Josh Darnell OK then, but you see my point is that the majority of the characters didn't look like their cartoon counterparts. Venjurax for example was a space station kit or something like that.

      The Robotix are a race of warring, shape-changing robots: one side of peaceful heroes, the other of sinister villains! They used to all be organic creatures, a mammalian race and a reptilian race, but a cataclysm sent most of their population into stasis and four agents each of the heroic Protectons and evil Terrakors were turned into robots to rebuild their world of Skalorr... but the Terrakor leader wants galactic conquest! Their war is without end, but the arrival of humans into the conflict may save the day!
      Parts of this may sound familiar, and it should, for the Robotix are actually the Transformers in the Xobitor universal cluster!

    The setting in this one is a-ma-zing! The post-apocalyptic world of Skalorr was both off-putting and eerily beatiful. This kicked the crap out of the other robot shows like Gobots or Transformers in my opinion.

    It is definitely interesting how so many 80s and cartoons had some of the same voice actors. This one, Transformers, GI Joe, Voltron, and even a few Disney cartoons Duck Tales, Winnie the Pooh, Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers and Darkwing Duck. This is one of those rare occasions I remember Peter Cullen voice a bad guy. The other few times when he voiced Venger in Dungeons and Dragons and when he voiced Shawn Berger in Transformers' second season and the Decepticon Slugslinger in the final three episodes of the original series.

    If only they had a crossover with Jace and the Wheeled Warriors.
    Also we never found out who was chasing the humans in that Star cruiser at the beginning. Probably Decepticons.
    This also seems like a prototype of the 4th season of the Transformers with the Headmasters storyline merging organic humanoids with alien robots.

    I don't recall ever seeing the cartoon but I had one of the Robotix toys ("Argus"). The motors were sadly weak but I thought it was a pretty fun toy!
