Hi.. Try some other german stuff(without understanding 😁).. :"Null positiv - wo Rauch ist, ist auch Feuer" (about war). :"Jennifer Rostock - Kaleidoskop" (gettig lost in a Metropole, modern City)..! Enjoy
Feuerschwanz is one of these bands you can't go wrong with. Founded as a folk band and as a parody of the folk/medieval scene, they made their way up to the Wacken festival and international success. They're also a band who didn't forget their roots, having a strong bondage to their fans and just love to play live on stage, which you can immediatly see. In general, they are a fun/party band and in their song, they often make fun about nedieval/fantasy related topics, often with a sexual related subtopic 😉 The majority of their songs is in german with some latin phrases sometimes, but hey did a lot of good english covers over the last few years. For example: "Warriors of the world united" (Manowar), "Blinding lights" (The Weekend), "Gimme, gimme, gimme" (ABBA) or "The final countdown" (Europe). If you wanna see more of their own stuff, check out "Metfest", "Ultima nocte" or "Untot im Drachenboot". If you got the chance, visit a live show of them, it's just 2 hours nonstop party🤘🍻
btw: the "hat-guy" is Hans Platz. And Feuerschwanz is his main band, while The Dark Side of the Moon is a side-project. So just check out more Feuerschwanz and you will get also Hans all the time. 😁
Became one of my fave bands over the past few years, and I don't even speak German! 😄. Easy enough to look up the lyric meanings anyway but musically they are so fun and energetic plus they have done some ace covers including Blinding Lights (The Weeknd), I See Fire (Ed Sheeran), Warriors Of The World (Manowar) and Ding (Seeed).
Fabienne Erni brings so much to this song : she can sing really fast. she impressed me a lot ! I like Feuerschwanz in general, but this song is over the top !
The guitarrist and harpist are not exactly from Dark Side of the Moon, they are from Feuerschwanz. Dark Side of the Moon is a side project, formed after a bet between Hans Platz (the guitarrist) from Feuerschwanz and Melissa Bonny from Ad Infinitum.
Another good german folk Band is Saltatio Mortis. Good Songs are "My mother told me" , "The dragonborn comes" or "Pray to the hunter". They play on the same festivals.
You really need to check out more Feuerschwanz (Foyer-Sh-wanz), their new album is my favourite album of 2021.. not a single dud song on the album.. "Memento Mori" and their cover of "Warriors of the world united" is simply sublime! Other outstanding tracks from the band: Ding, Meister Der Minne, Berzerkermode, Das Elfde Gebot, I see Fire, Metfest, Malleus Maleficarum, Hier kommt Alex, Schubsetanz (original & Black metal version), Untot im Drachenboot, Ultima Nocte, Dragostea Din Tei, Final Countdown, Gimme Gimme Gimme!, Blinding Lights, Im Bauch des Wals, & Die Hörner hoch.
Feuerschwanz made a lot of covers and all of them are great, some of there own songs are: Schubsetanz (Black Metal Version), Memonto Mori, Untot im Drachenboot, Kampfzwerg . And they had two collabs with Melissa Bonny: DING and Warriors of the world (a cover ) with Thomas Winkler and Alea the singer another great german folk metal band SALTATIO MORTIS. For more ELUVEITIE I would recommand the song GWYDION, a collab with the german pagan band FAUN
In this way,, if you like the German sound. Check out.. :"Null positiv - wo Rauch ist, ist auch Feuer" (tragic, about war)... /or the old, good. :"warlock - rule the ruins" (classic Metall) *greedings from north germany (near,, Wacken"))
I'm guessing she's Fenrir not Angreboda the giant Fenrir's mum. Especially as she killed Odin and Vidar took revenge. How awesome did she look? She had a raven motif too with her headdress. I believe Ben did play Vidar as it was him not Thor who killed Fenrir the wolf in Ragnarok.
I ama huge fan of FEUERSCHWANZ ( you'd rather pronounce : Fo year Schvanz ) and thaks tothis song I also become a fan of Eluveitie. Fabienne's voice is so over the top, pure platinium (like Melissa Bonny's)
The majority of Feuerschwanz' costumes (including the one Fabienne is wearing) are designed and, at least partly, made by Svenja Metzner aka Momo Indigo, the wife of Ben Metzner aka Prinz Hodenherz III, the long haired vocalist who also played the bagpipe in this. While the band name actually translates to Fire Tail, there is (intentionally) a second "slang" translation, which goes back to their origin as a parody band: Fire Dick! Their early material is full of slippery and raunchy lyrics, a tradiion they keep with their ambiguous stage names. In regards of Feuerschwanz, we do not refer to people with their real names! The current line up is (including translation and double meaning translation): Hauptmann Feuerschwanz (Captain Firetail/ Captain Firedick), vocals, accoustic guitar, Irish Bouzouki, last remaining founding member. Prinz Richard Hodenherz III (Prince Richard Testicleheart III [what's the short form of Richard in English? Dick! 😉]), called Hodi, vocals, all kinds of pipes and whistles, accoustic guitar, Irish Bouzouki. Johanna von der Vögelweide (Joan of Birdswillow/ Joan of Screwmeadow), violin, hurdy gurdy. She joined in 2005 and up until 2008, she wore a fake moustache on stage and went under the name of Johann von der Vögelweide (John of ...). Hans der Aufrechte (Hans the Upright/ Hans the Erect), electric guitar, accoustic guitar. Jarne Hodinsson (George Testi's son) bass guitar. Rollo H. Schönhaar (Wolf H. Prettyhair, the H. is allegedly a placeholder as it's not finally confirmed if he is the illegitimate son of Hauptmann or Hodi 😉), drums. He is the newest member as their drummer of 16 years, Sir Lanzeflott (Sir Lancequick) had left mid 2021. Mieze Musch-Musch (Kitty Puss-Puss), dancer, stage & video preformer. Mieze Myu (Kitty Meou), dancer, stage & video preformer, she was guest musician with her harp on a few songs, credited under her real name Jenny. The only video in which we see her playing the harp for Feuerschwanz is Hier Kommt Alex, the original by Die Toten Hosen (literally The Dead Trousers, actual meaning The Deadbeats) is a 1988 punk rock song, written for a stage adaption of A Clockwork Orange. Their original material is in German (with some Latin thrown in here and there) but in 2020 they started doing cover songs in English too, the first one was I See Fire (Ed Sheeran). They filmed a video for it but the live version featuring Thomas Winkler (at that time aka Angus McFife, now aka Angus McSix) is to prefer. Their most recent single Berzerkermode has the verses in German but the chorus in English. Fabienne was guest vocalist on the latest single from The Dark Side Of The Moon too: New Horizons. Just sayin' 😉
The gods recognized the danger posed by the Fenris Wolf and brought him to Asgard to keep a closer eye on him. At first it was a harmless animal, but as the Fenris wolf grew larger and stronger by the day, the gods felt threatened: they feared that it would devour them all. So they decided to tie him up forever. First, two heavy chains were made (Läding, which binds with cunning, and Droma, which inhibits), but the wolf tore them effortlessly. Now he should try his strength on the magical bondage Gleipnir, which looked as harmless as a simple thread. But the thread was made by the dwarfs and made of things that don't exist. For example, from the sinews of bears, the voice of fish, the beards of women, the saliva of birds, the sound of a cat's footsteps and the roots of mountains. The Fenris Wolf became suspicious. He demanded that one of the gods put his right hand in his mouth as security in case of a possible fraud. None would agree to it save Tyr, god of war and the Gathering of Things. So they tied Fenris up, but the harder he yanked on the rope, the tighter it got. Fenris remained captive, but bit off Tyr's right hand in revenge. As a result, the world of the gods was safe from Fenris from then on, but Tyr's right hand could no longer be saved, which is why he was only known as the one-handed Ase (old Norse einhendr asa). The giant wolf will only free itself in the time of the world conflagration, called Ragnarök ("fate of the gods"). He will then devour Odin and as a result will ultimately be killed in single combat by Odin's son Vidar. Greatings from germany

^what he said
Rollo H. SCHÖNHAAR, the drummers stage name, refers to the historical figure of King Harald Fairhair of Norway, which explains the Middleinitial H.

Fenrir the son of Loki is a WOLF not a dog...
German "eu" is pronounced like "oy" as in "boy", not like "ew" as in "fewer". So it's "Foyerschwanz", not "Fewerschwanz". :)
FENRIR is not a dog but a WOLF (even Wikipedia knows that !). You should read more about Nordic mythology !
Thanks
