This is amazing!! As a guy who has worked in many shops over the years, I highly recommend glass walling in the space up there wirth rolling barn door for Access. Over time your gear & furniture will get super dirty no matter how hard you clean, shops just habe a certain level of Grime thay gets everywhere. 😅
I have built offices in spaces like this and that area is going to get DISCUSTINGLY dusty, dirty and griming. I highly recommend walling it off some how or even hanging some heavy curtains around your railing you were talking about. Something to keep the space clean. Your going to hate it otherwise. edit: you know, even if you do a wire line on both sides, and hang a heavy curtain you could open it when up there working, and when you are not using the space, pull them closed so it keeps the outside dust, the shop dust and anything out of the space. Give it a month and see if it gets dirty, if not your good.
@@one234569and10 yes it’s a good point. I’ve been cleaning once a week and it hasn’t been as bad as I thought it would be. Some curtains will likely be the next move 👍
Because its mainly a shop area, I'd add a pull around clear plastic dropsheet to enclose the area for when it makes sense if any sanding or bodywork or raising dust off vehicles. That is a 5 star build you did there, party on Garth.
I love the idea of thinking outside the box (or on top of it in this case). Use existing space wisely, lean on friends and other businesses to share resources. Pretty much brilliant! A win win for sure. Space looks great. Nice work guys!
Great video man! It always surprises me when a channel this small can produce a video like this. First video I have watched plus I am not even a car guy and I still subbed. I can still respect the hustle. Keep up the hard work! Don't let your dreams die.
So much thought and effort behind the design space and it turned out absolutely amazing!!! Such a cool spot to chill and hang out - looking forward to the content that is being created in the incredible space!! 🙌🙌🙌
Ay, my car made the video again 🔥 1:09 Can't believe the transformation. Never thought I'd see the day that space became more than what it was. Excited to see what the future holds. I need more seat time up there to get a time I'm proud of on the wall though. Also that Patrick won't make fun of me for. Making me want to make content again just to "collab" 🤔
you should try looking into an Attic Lift to help you get stuff up and down, they are relatively cheap and lift up to 300 lbs.. it to doesnt even take up any floor space.
use some semi clear corrugated plastic sheet (used in cheaply built outdoor outhouse roofing) as walls.. except for the part of climbing in.. this make the place more seperated n not be in the garage (gives you more privacy when doing a podo)
Looks amazing well done. Wondering why you didn’t punch a hole through the wall from where I can see stairs going up? Even a small door or pocket door would be better than a ladder.
@@makemineatriple2006 the stairs on the other side is fairly makeshift as well haha. Ultimately it came down to needing an engineer to take a look at the wall and doing minor demolition. Having been using the space for the past month the ladder surprisingly hasn’t been as bothersome as I thought it would be.
As an Electrician by profession I cringed a little with the wiring setup but nevertheless this is actually amazing huge congrats and props to you. Looks very cozy, always like seeing remodels of spaces as inspiration for my own space. New subscriber but excited to see for whats to come.
the slat wall is cool but there is another company that makes a 96" and 120" long panel that is actually on acoustic backing that may be a better fit for podcasting. "MSI Acoustic Slat Wall"
Secondary thought. Putting it on a rail to pull the load into the space might make life a slight bit easier. Just some food for thought that I have seen in some spaces.
only thing i could think of while watching this video is damn that roof is going to be hot in summer, might want to put some insulation in the roof space.
Is the wall between the backrooms and the front area structural? If not you could have made a small door opening or at least a hole as a reach-through so you dont have to lug the stuff up there via the ladder, but instead the stairs in the back.
@@c0rvu5albu55 we thought about that exact scenario! There is a ladder on the other side but it’s a bit makeshift. We opted to go this route to keep it simpler as to not get an engineer involved for a proper assessment. I really wanted to get the space done as it was bottlenecking my plans to put out more content :)
Walls! That Garage gunk will seep up here on all that niiiice gear... Also for audio quality! I'm thinking vertical plexiglass sheets with smartglass film to make them electronically transparent to blurry! Flat acoustic sound panels on the ceiling & thick curtains in the corner for that gooood goood sound.
I hope you have taken into account that was effectively a simple ceiling and may not be able to handle the weight you are adding without reinforcement.
you could put in a "dumb waiter", that can lift hundreds of pounds for cheap. you could build it out to act as an elevator also. not sure how you r insurance would like that though, being for commercial use and all.
I've had a lot of questions about where to get the RGB Hex lights - Check the description for a link!
You could make a mount to have a dumbwaiter bring stuff up more easily as well!
Super stoked the algorithm brought me here. Love all automotive, tech, and design and this video NAILED it!

One of the most interesting enthusiast spots to visit in the gta. Super swanky
