I t was bad enough for me to not go to church, though i did watch it from home on live streaming. But i believe im over it now. Maggie didnt go to school yesterday but her and her mom stopped in for a bit and maggie wrapped herself up in a fuzzy blanket and fell asleep on the living room floor for like three or so hours. Hi Tomo. I like the bear theme you used in this video and your dreams about bears. I have a real story about bears to tell you. Back in the 1980's I was travelling in the Rocky MountaIns of British Columbia, Canada. I was standing by a stream on a large boulder. I didn't realize that off to my left about 50 feet away standing in the stream was a 600 pound male Grizzly bear with a huge salmon under one of its paws. The grizzly bear looked like an elephant to me, it was so big. I was scared and had butterfies in my stomach and slowly backed away. I thought for sure I would have been his next meal but I guess the salmon kept his interest. I was lucky. How's that real bear story for you!
Believe or not there are actually allot of Bear in Japan. Mostly Black Bear but also many Hokkaido Brown Bear (Grizzly) living on Hokkaido island. Although rare some people are attacked every year. In addition to the bell get some Bear Spray and properly store your food away. We live in Grizzly Bear country. A woman was killed last year about 10 miles from our house. We see them on the property every so often.
Mother of Husband is from Hokkaido. We heard many stories of Brown Bears. The Ainu indigenous people living in Hokkaido hand carve wooden Hokkaido bears to sell tourists. We purchased and brought back to States. Google Bear map by country shows Japan has a very high concentration of bear even near big cities on main island. Bears are always looking for food and you always have very tempting food lol

Everything is nice...but totally forbidden in Germany...only on campsites with dozens of others...and even the dog has to be paid for. Here is an example: Dog 4€ per night..Car, with 1 person 23-27€...each additional person 6€.. Unauthorized wild camping in Germany is subject to a fine. This usually ranges between 5 and 80 euros per person. If you as a camper cause additional damage, leave behind a mountain of rubbish and attract negative attention in other ways, the fine can be up to 500 euros.
In Japan, if you use a Trailer/RV camp site, it often costs 5,000 yen to 10,000 yen. This site was a public free campsite and as far as I know, this is the only free campsite around here. If you park your car somewhere other than the campsite, I don't think you will be fined even if you are warned. Thank you for sharing about the situation in Germany, it was very interesting.

Hi Tomo. I like the bear theme you used in this video and your dreams about bears. I have a real story about bears to tell you. Back in the 1980's I was travelling in the Rocky MountaIns of British Columbia, Canada. I was standing by a stream on a large boulder. I didn't realize that off to my left about 50 feet away standing in the stream was a 600 pound male Grizzly bear with a huge salmon under one of its paws. The grizzly bear looked like an elephant to me, it was so big. I was scared and had butterfies in my stomach and slowly backed away. I thought for sure I would have been his next meal but I guess the salmon kept his interest. I was lucky. How's that real bear story for you!

Believe or not there are actually allot of Bear in Japan. Mostly Black Bear but also many Hokkaido Brown Bear (Grizzly) living on Hokkaido island. Although rare some people are attacked every year. In addition to the bell get some Bear Spray and properly store your food away. We live in Grizzly Bear country. A woman was killed last year about 10 miles from our house. We see them on the property every so often.
The stories of real experiences are very interesting. Thank you for sharing. I was surprised that you know so much about bears in Hokkaido.
Mother of Husband is from Hokkaido. We heard many stories of Brown Bears. The Ainu indigenous people living in Hokkaido hand carve wooden Hokkaido bears to sell tourists. We purchased and brought back to States. Google Bear map by country shows Japan has a very high concentration of bear even near big cities on main island. Bears are always looking for food and you always have very tempting food lol

Everything is nice...but totally forbidden in Germany...only on campsites with dozens of others...and even the dog has to be paid for. Here is an example: Dog 4€ per night..Car, with 1 person 23-27€...each additional person 6€..
Unauthorized wild camping in Germany is subject to a fine. This usually ranges between 5 and 80 euros per person. If you as a camper cause additional damage, leave behind a mountain of rubbish and attract negative attention in other ways, the fine can be up to 500 euros.
In Japan, if you use a Trailer/RV camp site, it often costs 5,000 yen to 10,000 yen. This site was a public free campsite and as far as I know, this is the only free campsite around here. If you park your car somewhere other than the campsite, I don't think you will be fined even if you are warned. Thank you for sharing about the situation in Germany, it was very interesting.
