    One of the important things a beginner fish breeder can take away from this video: even an experienced fish breeder with decades of experience can make mistakes.

    Greg is the best at breeding the types of fish he breeds I wish he could breed more types but of course he is only one person. Great video. Thanks for sharing

    These are such an underrated fish. You can get them everywhere in the UK and they cost a couple of quid each, but people just don't seem to fancy them.
    You can keep them in an unheated aquarium as well, which is surely a plus point with the cost of electricity.
    Ruby barbs are another great choice.

    I appreciate Greg's passion for breeding odessa barbs but he makes everything so complicated for him. With this species is best to spawn them in pairs and you can easily get over 1000 fry from one large female.

    Is it only that particular line Greg is breeding isn’t available? We can get Odesa barbs here in Aus I’m sure of it.

      Nah we can, it’s just a fancy line I haven’t seen anything quite like before.

    "When you have a 30 day period when you will be home every day"?? So you either have to be retired or a kid with very generous parents to breed these.
