BILL!!!! TURN YOUR AMP ON!!!!!
Troy's bass is nauseating I love it!
Ungodly cool 👹
Amazing live, thanks for the upload.
Best setlist ever?
In '07 also, his singing now has improved a lot since then, now his voice it's quite like the studio on live performances
I miss this version of the band a lot.
this setlist is fire
Me and my friend were fearing when they would play "The Hunter" when we saw them, since he's really the only one that sings on it (Troy just kinda talks, not really singing) but he actually pulled it off pretty well, I was surprised
Everyone DOES realise that the soundguy at the venue and the person mixing sound for the video are usually two entirely different people?? In fact sometimes the audio comes from the foldback mix rather than front of house...and if it does come from front of house sometimes it makes no sense because there is a big difference mixing live to mixing in a studio
It's a poor effort doing that but most places just don't bother setting up anything else. I've seen videos of festivals which is clearly the foldback mix. I would say this is foldback sent as mono to the camera people.
Search for 2012 videos and you'll note that he is going through some vocal training, his singing in general is getting better
Wow, awesome. Это очень потрясно🤘
Yeah, I think it's just the way this recording got mixed rather than the actual sound of the show... Justice For Bill!
Agreed also I think they tailored the later songs to be within his vocal range as opposed to some of the earlier works.
starting with blood and thunder seems odd that always sounded like a final song kinda of thing
I actually like this better than closing. I would rather close with March or better yet Where Strides the Behemoth.
I know, but I just had to ask, hopefully I'll see Mastodon some day!
firstly, i dont remember, it was over 4 years ago!
secondly, you will never get the same sound from a gig when listening to the recrding, its been mixed probably, and also when you stand in the crowd in front of a stack thats as big as a house, its bound to be different. the recording of a backing vocal might be louder than at the show.
i hope you do too!
Great setlist tho
i was there!
So for the people complaining about Brent's vocals and whatever......How many of you have tried to sing like that night after night for many years???? How many have actually gotten on a stage and played music???
Greg Doane Better question. Who goes to a Mastodon concert to hear Brent sing?
At least he can shred.
Featuring Bill, the machine
Their sound guy is terrible
Bladecatcher - genius!! :DD
fckng massive
Brent must've been high af
I know, it's the way the video was mixed, couldn't do anything about it
Yeah, setlist was awesome, but the audio just kills it, kind of weird that the crew from the TV channel decided to use this show, there are a few other Pro-Shot Mastodon shows that sound way better than this one
weird...they almost always CLOSE with Blood and Thunder but kool
In '08 he had vocal problems - I think he had nodes on his vocal cords.
Hey, I have to ask... The audio in the show was way different than how it came out in this video, right? Just checking
In the thumbnail, troy looked like a metal oompa loompa
Man the audio really sucks...it's like listening to a high school band
Is this the in ear monitor mix?
Troy mutherfuckin Sanders.......nuf said
Bad audio. But other then that awesome.
great setlist but Bill's guitar is nearly inaudible.
DIG THE DEVIL 26:02
Fuck, Brent should just just singing harsh vocals completely. He sounds terrible here.
just stop*
another jazz band who got bored....
