Actually, this train is an express. The weekday off-peak Poughkeepsie trains make all stops to Croton-Harmon but also stop at Ossining and Tarrytown. The rush hour, peak direction trains go express after Croton-Harmon. Some even go express all the way from Beacon. There are also two afternoon reverse peak trains that skip Cold Spring, Garrison, and Cortlandt, but otherwise make the same stops as the off-peak trains.
I am glad to see that Mr Gaidukov has posted a videio of the train that shows things like lakes and wet lands for many wonder what is on the side other then the might Hudson
Loved the ride from Poughkeepsie to Peekskill or Garrison , then a limo ride to Maxime's Restaurant in Granite Springs to work on the weekend while attending the C.I.A.
Sam White I am working in Russia during financial crisis. My income has significantly dropped and Acela express is too expensive to me. So I am going to travel by Northeast Regional this year. It almost as fast as Acela Express, but much cheaper.
I see .....our trains go out from Boston as far south as Providence ...not quite 74 miles ... other line to Plymouth .. more like 40 miles.....and Worcester , 50 miles about
I was thinking how people in the state of New York accept much longer distances to travel to work than in my area and I wondered why....perhaps less availability of space closer to the city or high costs and I thought perhaps this distance to travel perhaps drove the need for efficient rail travel (is it efficient ...) I was comparing peoples commutes
the bad rip off Acela express they do not have coach just bussness and first that's bad on weekends when there Is simply less busness travel I would rideit a short distance like Washington and Baltimore for the shear hell of it
There's nothing like a long train ride to relax. Love all that spring green alongside the tracks.
ilove it and good look to nyc and be carfull

That must be an express on the Hudson Line, because it made 12 stops at those stations.
Great video and memories!! I really miss the Tarrytown - Grand Central trip!
Great Video. Liked that you took the train that made local stops

Collin's right, that is an express on the Hudson Line, and the reason why is because it made 12 station stops.

Wow, just been watching your video from the other way......

44:08 Someone forgot their stuff!
I wonder what type of camcorder Mr. Gaiddukov used for the quality is very good and the light meter lag is gone from the one going north
Hermoso viaje.
Ride the Acela Express again and film the entire trip! Please!

good look
Does it take the 1 hr. 52 min to get there to NYC ... wow that's a long ride
depends on how many stops it makes tho
Justin Ma What's typical
Yeah, Poughkeepsie is a fair bit north of NYC, and Metro North commuter trains aren't high speed. They're about a step above taking the subway.

Do express trains go all the way down to Harlem 125th-Grand Central not Ossining and Tarrytown?
Sometimes it depends. I live in Westchester

You sat on the wrong side of train.
Watch his other video of the trip northbound. Great seeing both sides of the track between the two videos.
