Dude, Andrew, great video and great review! My wife was at a friend’s house today and they showed her their Tonie Box. Your review was one of the first that popped up. Thanks for all the good info! Cheers.
We have a Yoto for our 1.5 year old and love it! We also wanted to have a new white noise machine and the ability for our child to start music when he wants. We love the Make Your Own cards (and have recordings of his grandma and grandpa singing to him!) and he can easily pick a card and put it in and out. He loves it so much ! We chose a Yoto over a Tonie because 1) we didn't want to encourage him to hit/tap the box or his technology (Yoto uses buttons) 2) The Tonies are effectively toys and we didn't want to get them mixed into toys. 3) Make Your Own cards are easy to label with pictures to build a catalog of them (rather than a lot of the same Tonie) 4) Yoto seems aimed for older kids so we're hoping to keep it for a while (or at least our card collection!) and add a Yoto Mini for when our son is older. 5) Cards are WAY easier to store and transport! lol 6) THE SCREEN!!! We love the screen on our Yoto and our toddler already knows the pictures for one card and what songs they relate to (more like he knows the one song he's looking for and can twist the button to find it!)
Thanks for sharing the thought process behind your purchase. Definitely agree about #2 though because they have gotten mixed up with other toys. Kind of annoying trying to track those down.
Tonie recommendations from a father of a 3yo daughter: 1. creative tonie - put on whatever you like, best if you sing something for your kid 2. Christmas tonie 3. Frozen - the songs are shortened massively but it’s basically the movie with the original voices. 4. The Little mermaid Does anybody have a recommendation for us?
I was so confused when I first got the Toniebox that skip ahead was a left tap (NOT a right) and vice-versa. I actually sent back the Tonie figure because I thought the songs were loaded in the wrong order. I later realized what I was doing wrong, and fortunately this can be changed in the app.
Off topic - but could you post a video on your thoughts of the Graco modes nest 2 grow travel system? Thank you for sharing all your knowledge! Expecting our first and your videos have been a godsend 🙏 we appreciate it.
Thanks for your review. My sister bought this for her great-niece and -nephew (my Grands) at Christmastime. I could NOT understand what she was talking about when she told me. I only now thought to look on TH-cam to see what I could learn. And then I found YOU! Thank you for the explanation and review. The three year old really enjoys it. (The one year old is along for the ride at this point.) I noticed in their Easter photo today that each little one had a Tonie bag in their baskets. Thanks again! (With the grands having a 96 year old great grandmother I’ll be sending my daughter a Creative Tonie so she can get a recording of Grammee for the future. Great feature!)
My grandson is 2 n half months n da baby lullaby puts him right to sleep ….. mama use to play it right on da side of her belly during her last trimester 🤓😊
So poor 2023 and this takes hours to try to set up still won't connect to the Internet. 50 comments on the tonies page all who's christmas has been ruined because of the set up
@@chi_dezz it won’t connect to WiFi or hotspot MANY PEOPLE HAVE THIS ISSUE THE COMPANY IS SO SLOW AT REPLYING. Here’s the problem: 1). You are NEVER really finished buying this toy. 2). You are forced to spend your limited time SETTING UP AN ACCOUNT to make this TOY work. 3). You are forced to share your email address with this TOY to make this thing work. I can already hear my phone ringing with NEVER ENDING marketing crap. 4). I am then forced to CONFIRM CODES in this stupid NEVER ENDING email game and then pretend this doesn’t matter. I DO NOT WANT TO SHARE MY EMAIL WITH A TOY. I DO NOT WANT TO SET UP A GOD DAMNED ACCOUNT FOR A TOY! I DO NOT WISH TO SIT AND WAIT TO CONFIRM CODES FOR A TOY! DO NOT BUY THIS TOY FROM HELL!
You can always buy the Fisher-Price record player, from what I saw it's completely offline. The TonieBox is obviously not a TOY toy, it's a wifi music box that kids can manipulate LIKE a toy. Jeez. you know you can set up an account and not click on the mailing list checkbox, right?
And for those interested, there are Labor Day sales on Tonies so be sure to check that out: bit.ly/3AJmblo
We were considering getting one for our kiddos and this video is exactly what I needed to say. Appreciate you man!

I’m so glad you did a review on this! I’ve contemplated buying one for my 3 year old daughter, but I think I’m sold!
Initially our boys were meh about it, but over time it's been one of the most used toys we have. A great buy for sure.

Are they easy to set up?
Would you consider comparing this to the yoto?
My daughter loves this. She’s 1.
That's awesome!

Have you reviewed this with the Yoto player? We’re tossing up which one to get out 3YO
Haven't reviewed it yet but I'd like to pick one up soon.
@@dadverb Hey! We'd love to get your thoughts on a Yoto Player or Yoto Mini too. We'll drop you an email
Hello! Are you able to share where you bought your toddlers tables and chairs 😇
They're from the brand Lalo - meetlalo.com/products/theplaykit
Dude unrealated. Did you take down your old vlogs? Like those of when Henry was newborn or pre baby vlogs??
Hey man, my 9 year old daughter wants 1 for Christmas ,is she too old for this do you think, im not sure she really knows much about it.
If she likes stories and music it’s a great gift. And you can create custom tonies where you record your voice through the app. - Ben
Does it have to have wifi? Why can't you just charge it and play it 🤔
Why wouldn’t these come with a book so the kids can read along too?
Son loves his Yoto player. even at 2 years!
Would love to review that.

They are 20$ a pop now 😩
They are still $14.99 at target. In fact some of the younger ones are in clearence for 3.99 last week
Almost guaranteed that all the songs are already in the box, btw, and the little toys just “unlock” them
There's gotta be a way to hack it.
The tonie sends a short code to the box and the box connects to your wifi downloading it the first time you use the tonie.
The card tells he box to connect to the internet and download the file. That's how Yoto works as well
I bet they sell something to unlock on Etsy, like amiibos
Sucks don’t work do NOT buy
Why not? And what about it does not work, cant you just exchange if you got a defective one?
