Thank you for your Review! I would have loved to see a Review on the Timio Player. It definitely similar and different enough to deserve its own Review ❤ we love our @Timio. It goes really well hand to hand with our Tonie Box and its perfect for our bilingual family
Vicky, this is a great review! Thank you for sharing your honest feedback and points of consideration so other parents can use this as a reference in their hunt for a great screen free audio player!
Great question, the answer as far as I can see is no you can’t. There’s no option in the app for Tonies that allows you to play one of your Tonies via the app rather than directly on the device, unlike with Yoto. So if you do lose one I think you need to replace
This was very helpful. Do any of them come with books for them to read along with? My almost 4 year old is dying to read and I wondered if he could follow along with the words in a physical book.
Glad it was useful! No they don’t and I wondered about this too actually, I think it would be useful and quite nice if you could get both the audio and physical book as a bundle
The key thing I can’t find an answer to, is how much do the yoto story cards cost? Where do you buy them? For instance, if I want to buy the gruffalo, and it’s 5 quid, it could start getting very expensive
Does anyone know if the Yoto etc has the same capability for family members not living in the family home to record stories for kids, like you can with the Tonie Box?
Maybe I missed that, but can I on yoto record myself stories or download own content? And I know on Tonies I can download stories in different languages 🤔 is that possible on yoto too? And now Tonies have series with numberblocks etc. Its something similar on Yoto? Thank you x
Yes you can! It's pretty simple to do onto one of their blank cards. I am afraid I haven't listened to the Numberblocks cards or Tonies so couldn't tell you if they're the same.
Both very good. The new 3rd gen Yoto Player has improved sound but to be honest I can’t really tell the difference between it and Yoto Mini. Toniebox is also good sound quality so it really comes down to which one you prefer in terms of how they work and the selection of audio available
@@colinrowlands5530 yes you can, we have quite a few narrated by famous people such as Stephen Fry. It often says in the store under product description who is narrating the story
Yes but the Tonies is so limited, the toys can be lost and are not cheap, it's toys play a few songs which last a few minutes, you can't create your own playlists or story cards like you can on the Yoto, yes the characters are cool but that is it
@@antifugazi you do have the creative Tonies where you can create your own playlist.. and i'm ok to pay 5 bucks more and having a figure where he can play zoo or whatever instead of having only a card...
Yoto sounds like a winner to me🎉 cheap cards and easy to store + good app perfect

I had never heard of the timio before! I’m so excited I’ve been looking for something bilingual like this. Thanks for the recommendation!
@randat8549 I believe so. Sadly, they are not big on Marketing. But they have great customer service. @TIMIO

Great review, I’m just wondering if you lose a tonie character can you still play the content like on the yoto?

Great video. Thank you for the information! 📚💜🌻
I would really like to get my hands on a Voxblock! But it seems they only deliver in the UK
That's a shame, they are relatively new so maybe they will expand their offering in the future.
Very helpful video! Thanks for sharing!
Which would you say is best for younger kids/toddlers?
The Toniebox is fun for toddlers due to the figures, but if you want longevity they’ll get a lot out of the Yoto as they hit age 6 and up

I saw books now available with one of the cube styles
My daughter is 6 and likes to look at the words. Some of the Tonies have books with their figurine.
The storypod does

Yoto cards start at around £5 to £6 and can be over £30 if you’re buying certain story bundles

Yes, they have "Make Your Own" cards

Which speaker has the best sound quality?
the yoto mini has the best sound quality.
Really useful, thank you
Hi, I've been looking for something like this for my 3yr old... what is the sound quality like on each one please?

Can you get stories for yoto with english accent narrator ?
@@colinrowlands5530 yes you can, we have quite a few narrated by famous people such as Stephen Fry. It often says in the store under product description who is narrating the story
Definately Team Tonies ❤ The figures are just soooo much better then the cards. My little one loves to play with them as well ❤

I was waiting for a real demo, play a story or song

Which have the most black authors?
I'm not sure specifically on that but in terms of a far wider selection of audio content Yoto has a much larger collection of cards.
