- Hi All! In this video I sewed Simplicity 8981. I used a Ponte knit fabric from Sewing Studio. This is the easiest dress I have ever made. It is very beginner friendly. I didn't make any size adjustments. I did omit the button in the back. I did cut two of the center belt sections for some added length. Let me know what you think. I hope you enjoy!

I just love how this dress came together for you. The color blocking is so sophisticated and turned an ordinary dress into a WOW dress. Congratulations on a job well done 😊 Did you pre wash the fabric? I don’t think ponte knit is supposed to shrink. What method did you use for hemming the bottom?? 😍👍
