I just finished making this dress in a forest green polka dot scuba knit and I love it. Because I hate having that loop on the back, I omitted it. I removed the 5/8 seam allowance, cut the front and back on the fold then added a neckband. I wore it with knee high boots to complete the look. Love your channel, by the way.
I know that loop situation is annoying. I kept the loop in because it is a tutorial. However, I prefer without it... Knee high boots yaaaasss if you share please tag me on IG so I can see it
Your video helped immensely. I used quilting cotton. And I didn’t know about sizing up. I am 65 and trying to learn on my own. I should have paid attention to my me-ma when I was younger. But nooooooo
@@rochelle.handmade.designs I reviewed the 2022 dress series video and purchased a few of the patterns. Look forward to M8212 sew along. Simply Dahlia shared her experience with the pattern and I'm a little nervous about the gathers around the neck area, too.
@@lanettawright6007 sew along coming this upcoming week. Just finished sewing it together last night 😁. I saw Simply Delilah video but I did not have any issues. I just need to take photos this week and edit tutorial 🥰
Looks pretty easy and I like your explanation of the steps. I’m not making this pattern but I wondered if you reinforced the under arms and clipped those curves? I’m thinking that was the case.
New subscriber 😊! I purchased this pattern and looked up if there were any videos on it and found you🙏🏾. I may have missed it, did you say what type of fabric you used? Love your content.
If you are shortening this pattern, measure from your shoulder to how long you want the dress then take up that amount on the lengthening and shortening line on the pattern piece. Make sure you do this to both front and back pattern pieces. Also account for the him as well so if you want a dress that is 38 in at the seam allowance for the Hem which I believe is 1 in and then make your dress 39 in
Awesome make
Thank you so much

I made that dress! Unfortunately too small. DIET
Did you size up based on the finished garment measurements? What type of fabric did you use?
