Corrupted file first time using a recently obtained Zelda II cartridge

  • I though these glitches were amusing, so I uploaded this to share. I brought home a copy of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link and popped it in my NES, but it wasn't working. It needed a really good cleaning, and after that was taken care of it worked completely fine, but not without this hiccup in the first file I created after testing it out. I decided to start recording my gameplay after seeing the HUD. There were no current save files, so I suspect the game initializes save data after a prior file is cleared, and that queued data intended for a fresh save file just got corrupted over years of disuse. That, or it may have just been an anomaly that occurred my first time getting the cart working after a half dozen or so failures to boot. Whatever the case, after this file crashed, I was able to create new save files like normal in all 3 save slots.
