Hey JZ, I highly recommend setting your valve lash at 0 or as close to that as you can be. I just do it by hand and wiggle the rocker back and forth to feel for 0. Really you’ll end up like .001. Good vibes brother come to NC and come 330 racing with da best😎 (NC)

I recently ran a stock 196 with only a header, mini 91 muffler, and a VM22 clone. Has a torque converter and 60 tooth. I did it just for fun and to see how a stock engine would work. Bike was still fun even with less power than my built engines.

No doubt. If everyone knew how much lash opens up when the engine gets hot everyone would be setting lash to zero.

Just a protection part? These were dyno proven many years ago. Less friction than stock rockers.

Yeah, I tried out some Amazon knock-offs of the Champion rockers one time. They were terrible. Pay a few extra dollars and get the real thing.
