      @Techcravers OMG - I MUST HAVE THAT LIVE WALLPAPER! Please tell us where we can download it..?
      Also, was it you who did the videos on the 128Gb "all-in-one" Sd card images for the Anbernic RG351P/M, like 'Frankie v3'? If so, thanks a lot dude, they revolutionised my enjoyment of that device, truly.
      Also, what is that dock, that's really cool, I need that too!

      How is it for the different systems (up to Switch)? Would you say it's worth it for around 200USD in 2024 (there's one on a local auction site rn)? Currently using an Anbernic 351P, that I'm still happy with (don't laugh at me; I like the retro stuff), but something bigger and more powerful would be cool. Mostly interested in arcade stuff.

    I traded my Vita for one of these last week. Was completely clueless on how it works but I got the PSP & N64 emulators and a ton of games. I haven't put this thing down with all these classic amazing games on one device. Getting a memory card today so I can start my PS1 & 2 collection.

  • @forestreflection2066

    I still love mine. And its still worth it in 2023. The reason plain and simple is because these emulation devices are like getting pumped out like gum balls out of a gumball machine. Each and every month there is a new better system with better specs, screen,ect. So if you want to take your ps2 and gamecube games where ever you go along with flawless emulation of past consoles then get yourself an Odin. Dont worry about the best emulation device cause 9 times out of 10 your device would be out dated like in a month. So odin is still worth it for now. I'd wait till like 2025 before i get another emulation device. Then i know that the odin would be truely outdated by then.

    Thank you for this surprisingly nice and high quality channel!
    I got an Odin Lite a week ago and it's awesome! However I'm having a bit of difficulty with analog sticks being too stiff and hurting my thumbs.
    I contacted AYN today and asked if I could have a new pair to replace these. Hopefully they will answer and I could fix this problem.
    Of course I can always just play with directional pad and that would be a 'proper way' for many of these old games anyways :)

    The steam deck is not available in my country and probably never will, so I am seriously considering buying an Ayn Odin Pro. I wonder why Ayn doesn't develop a newer version with 16GB RAM, that could compete with the SD and offer more possibilities. Thanks for the video.

    • @voteDC
      @voteDC ปีที่แล้ว +9

      That much RAM wouldn't really make much of a difference in Android. Sticking with 8GB of RAM and using a newer Snapdragon would be a better performance boost.

    • @jimdoom2276
      @jimdoom2276 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Are you not aware that Ayn are currently working on a follow-up model to the Odin, called the Ayn Loki, which is an x86, Windows based handheld. It comes in a range of sub-models of varying power levels, but the higher end ones do indeed have 16GB RAM. The top end model, the Loki Max, uses an AMD 6800U APU, and can definitely be considered as competition for the Deck. You should check it out, it's by FAR the most affordable Windows handheld on the market atm.

    • @CaptainEffort

      The Odin isn’t really a replacement for the Deck, as it’s limited to Android and therefore doesn’t have access to PC games.

  • @Burbanana
    @Burbanana ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Im still stuck between this and the Lite. The lite has a different chipset which might run into random glitches etc, but otherwise its great for both emulation and gamestreaming. Just sucks, also shipping and taxes add a lot to the price (I am from the Netherlands). Can I get this from resellers? Also, what do you recommend for emulating up to 3DS(mostly pokemon, I know 100% playability isn't really possible unless dishing out for a Steam Deck), which device on the market should I possibly get? I want to stream games from my high end PC and possibly also stream high end emulation..

    • @Techcravers
      @Techcravers  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, thanks for commenting. I think emulation performance is pretty similar between Lite and Pro but you'll need to do some tinkering with both. Regarding your 3DS question I'd say the Odin is what you should buy. Atleast below $250.

    • @Burbanana
      @Burbanana ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Techcravers Thanks, what would you say is the biggest reason to get an Odin Pro over the Lite in today's market?

    • @jimdoom2276
      @jimdoom2276 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Burbanana I know I'm not the expert, but I would say the biggest argument for getting the Pro is Switch Emulation. You can play a LOT more games perfectly on Skyline than you might think, although it is mostly (but not entirely) limited to 2D. If you like platform games, Metroidvanias, and Roguelikes you're laughing though. Switch Emulation really needs the 8Gb of Ram that the Pro has, and as the Emulator matures more and more that's only going to get more important.

      Depending on what you plan to play, the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro or Odin 2 may suit you as well!

      Odin 2 is much more. RP4 is too small as I want to stream modern games (I have a RP3+ I will likely sell)@@Techcravers
