@YachtBuoy kind of wish I joined the navy, but ended up as a fairy decent gas engineer/2nd rate plumber. Currently living on a narrowboat, really enjoy your walk arounds. Whatever you do, don't let me loose on boat plumbing, or it will sink🤠🤠
She’s a really nice boat but personally think it’d be worth spending money having her updated and refitted. There’s huge potential here 👍 You always do a superb tour, many thanks
Practical good looking boat. I must add my regular comment about single engine boats with a long range. It should have at least a small wing engine or it still remains a coastal cruiser to me. Same goes for the need of a water maker and some solar panels. Being from Florida, I would love an air conditioning system. The layout is great.
Love the split level layout . Reminds me of the more recent Grand Sturdy's for a fraction of the price !! Nicely made too with superb cabinetry. I would make the aft cabin a proper double master cabin and remove the partition bit also very useful to have with kids I suppose
Ahoy John, thanks for this nicce video and... not to forget... I wish u a Happy New Year. I've flewn over the description on the vendor's site, thanks to your link, but don't remember havin found anything bout her CE category. Would you pls let me know? Cheers, John.
Hello again shipmate 🫡 Another great video and I like the aft stateroom area! That's the first time I've seen a partition-ready berthing area! 👍 It definitely adds a certain style to the classic industrial style 😎 👌
Really like this Dutch boats 👍 To do the great loop you would first of all need to sail to the other side of the world. Personally I would not try this with this boat and having a single engine only. However a really nice boat but one would have to invest ~100K to bring it up to today’s standards. I find the asking price of 250K a bit high tbh…..
Shower/head/head gives lotsa flexibility. Tho, when showers get backed up on land, it's often because of 9-5 rush. 4 burners! Luxury. Do they have any storage for wine, beer and liquor? Just wondering. Def don't want to go dry, do we? Nice layout; well done!
I am not sure that I would take this vessel out to sea. One good storm and you will be in deep trouble. This boat is made for canal and coastal cruising so that in case of bad weather you can get to safety fast. The one engine, without a wing engine, would be an absolute no go for me when I go to sea. Layout of the boat is nice, this boat is perfect for the rivers and canals in Northern Europe.
As far as I know, upgrades aren't that expensive. If u can afford such a boat, you certainly can afford one or 2 VHF radios and a radar as well, dont' you? Maybe even DeValk will upgrade her on request once you'll close a deal.
An explorer with one engine and a cloth top over the only helm. Hardly seems to be set up for true exploring. So just cruise the loop I guess but then why only at 8 knots in an old boat?
I feel this boat will need 50 to $100K upgrade to electronics, touch ups, new paint and engine service to make this truly offshore explorer. 250K list price is a bit over the top.
Really loving it and the price point but scratching my head a bit that a coastal explorer has such a long range???? What situation would you fill hr up given that your performance would be so much better with less fuel? But hey, I'm and airman not a sailor so I'm sure someone will explain. (wanna be sailor though)
It doesn't have a 5000-nautical-mile range, it has a 5000-litre fuel capacity. A boat that size and with a 250-hp engine will burn more than 1 litre per nautical mile. The brokerage states 10 litres an hour at 1400 rpm.
@@MrDarcykampe Depends what speed it's getting at 1400 rpm, @8kn that would equate to 4000, but 10L/hour may be in ideal conditions. Plus you'd want reserves.
what a cool and interesting boat. At that size would like to see a true sperate shower with a shower door but all in all very nice and that range is awesome
Definitely a boat built just for show and use in warm seas, like the Med. No good whatsoever in cold northern European waters, the first big wave would rip that fabric straight off. There're much better boats out there.
Meh, not much that's special about this IMHO. For me I'd have the trawler you were on a month or so ago asking the same money. Now that was a bit special...
No need to go further than 2.39" first of all, we'll board the boat by the boarding ladder which is amidships there" as he boards via the stern ladder. Yup, not a very good one to be presenting a boat Just another liar Not going further, but would be funny to see what else he got wrong.

Bogs have basins and kitchens, like ships, sink.
@markjones1337 😂

Like this boat easy to manage also the range for this size 👍💯

Thanks! I appreciate it 🙌
5,000 mile range is a lot for this size of vessel. Looks great for being 30 years in age. Thank you.
Thanks for watching 🫡

Another top boat review. Love these style of boats.
Keep up the the videos 👍💯👌
Glad you like them!
that is fantastic, love it. I really like the split level
Nice little boat!
Absolutely love it, fantastic loop boat ❤
Love the layout of this boat, but have to agree with the comments about not having a wing engine.
John, I know it was a mistake, but the dining area was on the starboard side, the actual galley was on the port side.

Beautiful boat n love the split level
Of course, obviously, as well, again, of course, obviously as well, too, as well, again, off course, obviously, again, as well, of course.
i would love to live in a boat like that 👍👍👍👍
I could buy this with the money left over after my divorce that happened because I bought this! 👍
😂😂😂😂
Lol, find a woman who likes adventure. 👍
😂😅🤣😂🤣😂
You sound like you're good with money! ❤
Why does everything wet .... seem like a mistress?😂
Another relaxing imformative video 👍.
Those aren't kitchen sinks, they're dish basins. ;) love your videos.
Thank you! 🙌
Very nice 👍👍👍

Nice boat ideal live aboard.. it’s a lot of boat for the money…

More info. How many hours on engine? Any secondary emergency propulsion?
Am going to do a full spec write on my Substack 🫡
I spotted the superb (and my personal favourite), boat 'Sea Ranger' alongside, early in the video!
As you were, John. 👍, 🫡
Glad you enjoyed it 🫡
15:17 - It's a bum washer.
She's a beauty, as are all the neighbors shown.
good vessel but no radar,no vhf radio

You mention "the great loop" - Is that the one in the USA? Isn't this boat in the Netherlands?
The 🇺🇸 I mention in the beginning of the video that it would cost around €50k to get her shipped across the pond
how much fuel Consumption per hour in liters?
I realize you are at the mercy of getting invitations , but if you could do a bit more with catamarans I would like it a great deal thanks
How much to fill the fuel tanks? 20k?
An explorer with one engine and a cloth top over the only helm. Hardly seems to be set up for true exploring. So just cruise the loop I guess but then why only at 8 knots in an old boat?
That’s a nice vessle, BUT! The helm under canvas is not what I, who lives i the far north, need. Have the not build a variation with hardtop?
I haven’t seen a hardtop version of this one

nice but limiting with no interior controls limits rough weather sailing
what a cool and interesting boat. At that size would like to see a true sperate shower with a shower door but all in all very nice and that range is awesome
2m is not a lot of headroom, my dear Hobbit, some of us are from the north.
😂😂
Not going anywhere with significant wind.....

20 year olds are not buyers of this boat.

Just another liar
Not going further, but would be funny to see what else he got wrong.
I've never seen a pleasure boat so disconnected from the water. No cockpit and you have to be a monkey to even get aboard.
My dream boat, maybe i go to Holand tyo buy it!!
