First of all, we'd never fuss at you for what your hands are able to do because your work is AMAZING! If you saw mine, you'd see I'm nowhere near your level. My hands are arthritic and I understand completely the tight, swollen, painful hands. I don't have fibromyalgia but my sister has that and lupus too. You are Awesome! You are amazingly talented! And I absolutely love watching and listening to you! You are so loved!
Love all your videos, Lucy. Don't ever worry about having to take care of yourself!!! I am on the West Coast in the US and we have had several weeks in the 100s which is around 40 degrees Celsius.
If your ohuhu are drying out you don’t need to replace them. The alcohol has evaporated so all you need is rubbing alcohol which you can buy cheaply at your supermarket. You add four or five drops after removing either nib and with a pipe tote or dropper or even a syringe pop some of the alcohol to the body of the marker and the pigment is still viable and you have rejoiced your marker. I use isopropyl alcohol and have had my ohuhu since the beginning of the pandemic and as I live in a hot place, Perth in Western Australia alcohol does evaporate and my beloved markers are still going strong. Hope this helps. This colour along inspired me to get this colouring book, it arrives in Wednesday. Much love and *virtual hugs*. May your markers live on and multiply. Love Claire ❤❤❤
Hello Lucy. Your otter is turning out adorable. Looks like he is in a culvert/canal type of tunnel. Loving how you blended the bottom of it in with the plant colors. Hands/joints…some days are better than others! Thanks for sharing and the stories. 😂 I will gladly be back for part 2.
It gives me such joy watching your videos. Like most others I understand that you need to do what is best for you, rest when needed. I love your chatter and your sense of humour. I have the same trouble as you with remembering words and being able to say them. I am fine until I have to say them and then the word just disappears.
I love watching you color with your pencils over markers and all of the things that you use. Pencils intimate me. I use my alcohol markers, put pens, Staedtler pigment art pens, and gelly roll stardust glitter gel pens. I have finished 17 coloring books in the last year. I am coloring in my copy of Johanna Basford's magical jungle using pit pens and Staedtler pigment art pens and they are looking pretty good.
I’m glad to see just how you use the alcohol markers with pencils over… doing the shading and highlights. I have some pastel ohuhu’s ordered. They should be here tomorrow. I only have a small set and they’re all mid-tone. I tried them in RJ’s Asleep book and loved how they worked but I ended up putting pencil over all of it because I didn’t seem to get how to just shade over it. It was easier on my hands than just pencils though. It’s fun to learn something new.
Another very enjoyable video. I am in the US and go to Florida for part of the winter. Have you ever watch people trying to put up a beach umbrella on a windy beach? Fits and giggles all day.
Haha that’s great! I must agree with the putting up a tent. I’m proud to say my “husband” and I (not married actually but this month will have been together 16 years) have made it through multiple tent assemblies but it does test you!!! 😂
Hi Lucy, this was a great video. I am sorry about your hands, just do what you can, if it doesn’t work, don’t force anything, you never disappoint us. It’s so nice to listen to you, so cosy. I love watching your videos. Your picture looks great, thanks again😃
Lucy I love otters I was so happy you picked this page. He is so cute This is a great video and felt like we were together. You and I could get into a lot of trouble if we were together. I love watching people, it’s amazing what you see. I have to keep reminding myself you are sitting in a room and talking to yourself. You make it so real as if we are going to answer you. You are a sweet beautiful person and humor is the best. Also Lucy I can see the puffiness on your hands,so sorry 😍💖
Hi Lucy! I’m coloring the stationary page while I watch your otter video. You just mentioned the Green Witch book. I bought that book bc I knew you were getting it for your birthday! So I’d be super excited if you did a page in that book! Your otter is turning out fantastic!!! ❤
The Otter is adorable ❤. I also am a retired Social Worker. Not in the schools though, mental health and substance abuse therapist. Anyhoo, love the water background also. I don't normally use alcohol markers but I have the whole Arteza and Caliart sets. You have inspired me to pull them out and give them a try. Thanks Lucy and hope your hands feel , I have the same problem with my thumbs.
Hi Lucy, don't worry about how much colouring you can do. I understand that your hands are painful. Just do what you can. There's always another colour along to finish the picture when you are feeling less painful. I enjoy watching your videos. I don't like hearing you in so much pain, so take it easy and do it in parts if that's much easier. Take care Lucy, happy colouring from Samantha ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
It is a really beautiful book. I managed to do the Owl a while back. I hope to get back into the book soon as arthritis settles down. It is Winter here. Freezing cold mornings but some lovely sunny days recently. 🥶🤢🤪🐧🐧🐧
Oh Lucy , this is so gorgeous. ❤I love otters and you are making it look so beautiful . I was chuckling about your caravan lady and the other holiday people ( not the creepy guy trying to get young girls to dance though ; ugh ). I love people watching but strangely , I hate BEING watched ..🧐 I have this book on my watch list and may get it next month ( for my birthday!🎉) our island temps are finally cooler ( but the main part of British Columbia is sizzling … )
You made me giggle so much, Lucy! How dare people cut their grass, ride motorbikes or drive emergency vehichles - especially at 6pm lol!!? 😂 I used to have a neighbour who cut his grass at 10pm, I don't know how he could see it, bless!! 😅
I love to people watch while on vacation too. I can tell you one story about a trip I took with my 2 girl friends, it was 30 yrs ago. We traveled from Colorado to St. Maarten. It was well after midnight by the time we got there, we were in our mid to late 20’s. There was a driver there to pick us up and take us to our hotel which was unexpected but he had our names on a sign and said follow me, so we did. It was pitch black out and we were driving for quite some time when we all looked at each other with the same look as …… this is it, this is where we die. In the jungle of St. Maarten. 😂 We made it to our hotel , was escorted to our bungalow still not able to see your hand in front of your face. Small one room with a queen bed and a rollout bed, thinking this was a big mistake. The next morning we went outside followed the walkway to the beach and well it was paradise for sure. One of the best trips of my life. ❤
I have the 180 set of brutfuners. Saw they have a pastel set. Now I'm wondering if I have all those already or not. I think you have to figure out what you'll be satisfied with having.
Hi Lucy. So sorry about your hand pain. You really should use compression gloves that you can use at night and get some eucalyptus oil and mix with any lotion to rub on your hands. Green tea and ginger tea will help with the inflammation that is causing the stiffness. We need you to continue your art!
How dare people criticise you for not streaming. You have plenty videos I have not yet watched, which I will I am so sorry you are not good, wishing you strength and love to take with you and your family to have a wonderful break. Xxx
Hi Lucy, I have RA Arthritis since I was 19 years old. I have pain in my hands of varying degrees in my hands everyday. You should try getting compression gloves. The finger tips are open so you would be able to color and it will help take away the pain.
Hi Lucy! I love your chitter chatter! lol thank you for spending time with us! I always look forward to your “colors with me”.
Same here.
It's like coloring with a friend. 😊❤
He is gorgeous and you are hilarious, thank you for keeping me smiling during coloring 🫶🏻

I understand and respect both of you guys. I'm ready for cool weather. We don't have ac right now 😢😢😢

Hi Lucy, if I eat any of the Deadly Nightshade foods, my hands stiffen up. It’s worth eliminating them to become pain free.
What foods are they? Xxx
Are you making it water around the otter?
I am yes xx
I have the 180 set of brutfuners. Saw they have a pastel set. Now I'm wondering if I have all those already or not. I think you have to figure out what you'll be satisfied with having.

The same thing has happened with my pre-order of Shooting Star :(, so disappointing and no information from amazon when they will dispatch
