this hits me on such a huge level. I can't begin to describe how it feels to me when I want something so badly yet it doesn't exist. it only exists fictionally. my heart literally aches for it, and yet I can't have it.and it hurts. it hurts so badly, and I feel like I will never be whole again. it will never be whole if hogwarts isn't something that I can't have, can't experience. I can only have it in my dreams and my thoughts. and that hurts more than the idea that it doesn't exist.

This video made me cry. For some of us, Harry Potter is not only a character, is an old and loyal friend. I remember being 9 when I read the first book, and how I had to wait for the following ones to be released. Then the movies came, and when I was 17, the deathly hallows, the last book, was published, and I felt like something incredibly important, an era, came to an end. For years, Hogwarts was my escape from reality, my favourite place to go with my imagination. When everything seemed grey, Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Harry, Luna, Dobby, Hagrid, Fred, George, were waiting for me in the corridors. I will forever be grateful to Rowling for giving us so much. It's my last year at Hogwarts. That knowledge hurts. For the last seven years, this wonderful castle has been my home. I love it here. From the lake shore, I can see where my friends and I had our first Care of Magical Creatures class with Hagrid. Closer to the amazing castle, the setting sun glints off the greenhouse roofs, where I particularly remember Johnny fainting during third year when we studied Mandrakes. We never did stop teasing him about his pink fluffy earmuffs.
I can hear the Sirens singing from deep inside the lake. It's a very rare occasion they are close enough to the top to be heard. Maybe the Giant Squid has been shifting a bit. As the sky turns a beautiful red hue, fireflies begin to emerge from the forest, where no doubt some shady things are beginning to waken. But it doesn't worry me. The forest never scared me as much as the others. Maybe that's why some of the animals like me more.
A sigh escapes my lips. Leaving this place will be harder than I thought. Flashes of my Quiddatch practices come to mind as I stare at the six hoops just visable in the gathering darkness. We had so much fun, and won quite a few matches together. I wonder if we will stay in contact after school. I hope so, as I've spent most likely the best years of my life with them.
I raise my head to look across the rippling water, where the fading orange glow has scattered over the waves. High above, a Phoenix flies through the clear sky, flames following it's path. A sweet song escapes it's beak as it makes its way into the sunset.
A smile creeps onto my face, and I think maybe I will be alright. After all, Hogwarts will always be here. There's no reason to mourn. I'll be back. And it will be just as amazing as the first and last.
I rise and begin my final walk through the grounds, past the little hut by the forest, where a few eyes follow me, up past the greenhouses and through the large doors. The portraits smile and speak words of comfort and sympathy as I pass, heading to my dormatory. My feet halt, and I turn away from to door, instead going to the Astronomy tower.
I spend most of the night there, watching the stars and the grounds. When the sun begins to peak it's head back over the hills, I finally yield and go into my cosy common room. The air is sombre and sad, but a spark hangs there, a spark of excitement for what the future could hold.
As I board the train for the final time, I keep the castle in my sights for as long as possible. But when it disappears, I'm not sad. New hope and excitement fill my chest and I look forward with a smile.
Hogwarts will always be my home, and I will never forget all that happened there. But it's time for me to find new adventures elsewhere, using everything I learnt there.
Who knows, maybe I'll come back.
But for now...
That horizon looks like the place for me.

Anyone out there who is struggling, remember to take care of yourself. Eat some healthy food. Take a short stroll outside in nature even if you don't feel like it. You'll feel better afterward. If you're really struggling, brush your teeth and take a shower, throw away the trash beside the bed, and put the dirty dishes in the sink, even if you don't want to. You will feel better afterward. Never forget that you matter, there is always hope, and there is still some good in this world.
Honestly, if I died and found out the after life was just living in the world of Harry Potter, I would probably cry of happiness.

this music burns with nostalgia. literally. its crazy how much books can impact your life. I don't know how I would be sane if I had never read the Harry Potter series. I will always sit in the same corner of my room and travel to this world by page.

Morning!
I love waking up in the Hufflepuff girl's sleeping quarters, it really makes me feel at home. I look around at the rest of the girls who are sleeping peacefully, each in their own bed. When I look out the window, I see the sun rising up, it's colors filling up the sky. I've still got hours till it's time for my first period so I decided to get up and enjoy the sunrise outside. I put drape my cloak on top of my pajamas and decided that I didn't need to change fully, not yet. I tiptoe down the stairs and into the Hufflepuff common room. Yellow scarves scattered across the room, I smile to myself and remember last night, all of the Hufflepuff girls and boys sitting around the fireplace and laughing together. My family.
The corridors are still dark so I whisper "Lumos" and the tip of my wand lights up immediately. As I sneak past all the rooms, I finally make it the door that will take outside the silent castle. The birds are chirping and the sun is peaking out of the horizon. I find a tree stump to sit on right across the lake and watch the sun. Then, I hear a branch crack in the distance. When I look away from the sunrise and towards the castle, I see a tall figure standing awkwardly. As the silhouette approaches me, I realize it's Cedric!
"Cedric? What are you doing here?"
"Well, I was gonna ask you the same, y/n."
I laugh at him and look away as I make room for him on the tree stump. I guess my pajamas peeked out because then he asked me,
"Y/n, are you wearing your pj's underneath your cloak?!"
I feel my cheeks burn and I instantly pull my dark cloak over my pajamas and give Cedric an embarrassed look.
"Hahaha, you're so cute when you're embarrassed."
I feel my cheeks flush even more and turn away so he doesn't see. The sun is higher than before, lighting up the atmosphere.
"Ok, I'm gonna leave now. I have to change and prepare for class."
I get up and wave before briskly walking away. I was actually just running away from the awkwardness.
"Wait y/n!"
Cedric runs up behind me and grabs my hand to stop me. I look up at him with a confused expression.
"Do you wanna sit with me at lunch today?"
My heart skipped a beat at his words.
"Me? Uh, sure! I'd love to Cedric."
He was such a sweet soul. He smiled wholesomely and hesitated to ask another question.
I laughed and said, "Yes Cedric. I'd also love for you to walk me back to the common room."
He looked at me as his eyebrows shot up and this time, he was the one blushing.
I felt so happy as Cedric and I walked back to the castle, side to side, our shoulders brushing against each others. The castle was now well lit, and the sky was blue once again.

i would do literally everything to go to hogwarts. harry potter has given so much to me, it’s given me so much happiness and hope even in my darkest times. i‘m sometimes really insecure or unhappy and find no comfort in anything but these fictional characters and this fictional world has given me a feeling of home and safety that i can feel nowhere else. hogwarts is my home, my safe-place and a place I escape to whenever I‘m feeling lost again. thank you jk rowling for creating this place, it’s immensely beautiful and calming. the quotes and the characters have helped me hold on to something and stay strong when i was feeling weak again. harry potter means so much to me, i can’t write about it enough.
Ive been there several times before. These characters mean a lot to me for the same reasons.
Don't give up, ok? If you want to move past it, if you want to feel and be better, if you keep trying- it WILL happen. This won't last forever, it never does.

I have a confession- until recently, I had never watched the movies (and have yet to read the books). I am in love. I am glad that I waited so that I can repeatedly binge watch them without having to wait years in between! I am currently working 2 jobs and working towards finally getting my Bachelor's so I don't have time to read the books, but I will! I starting listening to the audiobook versions on Hoopla (the service my local library uses) and listened in the car and while doing chores. It was just as magical as reading them or watching the movies!! I hope you are able to experience the magic soon.

So we all know that we've all been to hogwarts but our memories of our time there were erased so I challenge all you to just think or maybe even write about who you were and what it was like at hogwarts. I'm doing and it's super fun. So that's my challenge for you guys now I've gotta get back to imagining!
I'm imaging how it will be if I wake up at Hogwart. From the moment I had known Harry Potter, I was starting to love Hogwart and the magic world. This is my second home not the school I'm studying where it has too much fight, jealous and they always hate each other. In Hogwart, even though anything arguement, in the end they still fight together.
Now i know what was missing in my life :))))

it would feel super melancholic but at the same time victorious. bittersweet i would say.

When I try to explain to people how much Harry Potter means to me they don't REALLY understand. I don't think they can to be honest because I genuinely feel more at home at Hogwarts than in my real life town. I will forever and always have a place in my heart for a harry potter and it's truly inexplicable how much it means to me. My heart aches as I hear this music but at the same time I know it's where I belong. Thank you J.K Rowling for changing my life.
