Lily's theme really makes me nostalgic... the first thing that came into my mind is Snape standing in front of the window looking down at the students.
Snapes memories and when snape dies leaving his tears for harry to look into his memories ..... Mann the whole snape character was the best part of HP

Her red hair swaying behind her as she made a left and discovered more portraits that hung on the walls of Hogwarts. The girl was use to the pictures moving and talking but one seemed to be still. A man with greasy black hair and a hooked nose didn’t seem to notice a little girl in front of him until his black eyes reached a pair of green. He stared in disbelief as he whispered her name, “Lily..”

colin broke my heart
omg I know, we never talk about Colin's death and it happens so quickly in the books but it's so heartbreaking. I was in so much pain, just like all the other character we knew way more. He was so young and so innocent, yet finally as brave as others.

I love Deathly Hallows part 2 apart from the fact Snape died, I remember watching and wishing I was there to fight. Thanks for this the sounds of the building burning takes me back to the film, and the music is so powerful

@@claireakaforestgreenorgang9506 Probably yes... but I think it would be a great idea nonetheless to do a battle theme one. For me, music & ambiance videos doesn't only mean relaxing video. I love to listen to those videos when I write, for exemple, and I don't think I'm the only one.
And this would be a perfect video for listening while one write battle scenes for stories, maybe even HP fanfictions **

Yes this would be great! I put the Knockturn Alley one on when playing Battle of Hogwarts deck-building game, so having a 2-3h+ battle-centric one would be awesome! Doesn't have to be the super angsty songs, stuff like `Courtyard Apocalypse` and `Statues` are still quite ambient. Also 4K would be awesome but for the length may be too big to upload.
Imagine you are fighting on the other side of Black Lake. You're slowly loosing hope, as Death Eaters attack grows stronger and stronger. And then you hear this music. Everyone stop fighting, confused. Your heart slowly fills with hope, you look at your friends and they are smiling. It's Hogwarts. The music fills the air. Every student, former or present seams to know that it isn't over. Because Hogwarts didn't fall.

I'm an undergrad in Classics (Latin and Ancient Greek) and I often have trouble concentrating while doing my homework. I've loved all of your ambient mixes (especially Gondor with morning rain!) but felt I had to comment after a couple of days ago. In my Greek class, we've been translating The Trojan Women, a play about the women left to become slaves to the Greeks after the Trojan War. I found this mix by accident while my assignment was to translate the end of the play, while Troy is lit on fire and all the women can do is cry out for their home while they are led to the ships. This mix worked absolutely perfectly, and moved me to tears. Thanks for all the videos you make!
Same here! I am a teacher, working on getting my credential with the state. I also have Inattentive ADD. I cannot think with music that has words. All of their ambient mixes are soothing, and allow me to think....this one is a little gloomy, but I’m gloomy today. :) so it works.

I have tried to read something for school but cried all hour and needed to change soundtrack :D Music opens the heart, despite all that time that have passed since I read Harry Potter. Music from films will always mean very much to me.

It's weird how many years later, I became addicted to Harry Potter... I guess it's because of the Covid. I just can't stop watching movies, every. single. days. I'm writing this in tears while listenning to this. I miss that so much, this kind of saga appears only once in a lifetime

Severus... how dare you leave us?
Voldemort was finally defeated, after a long night. The trio and I sat down on a bench in the Great Hall, gripping our mugs with hot chocolate inside. The Great Hall is filled with distant laughter and chatter from students and teachers.
I look around, and then took a sip of my Hot Chocolate. And i remember my Uncle Remus, who promised after the Battle, we would drink some hot chocolate together as before...but he didn’t make it after the battle.
“Everything is going to change now, is it?” asked Ron. Hermione, Harry and I looked up.
I let out a breath, the corners of my lip twitching up into a small smile. “It is. No more searching for Horcruxes. We’re done.”
“At least...we can finally have a peaceful year.” chuckled Hermione.
“Yeah.” said Harry, I shook my head and I let out a breathless chuckle. We stare at each other for three minutes before bursting into laughter for no absolute reason.
It was like the old times.
Yes indeed, times will change. And it will change for the better. At least I still have my friends with me.

Lily humming in the background really wants to make me cry. She saw his father die, pleaded for his life and ended up dying. only to later discover that he survived. Now she stays with him in the end.

I gripped my wand triumphantly as I started at the wreckage of what used to be my home. The embers were somehow peaceful, tears started to streak down my dirt-covered face. I realized now that times were going to change. There would be peace at last.
The great hall was filled with students, some crying, some relieved that the onslaught had seized, the dead lay by what used to be Albus Dumbledore's golden owl pedestal. The weasleys huddled over Fred's body. I didn't feel like I belonged there, but also I think I did. I had known him for many years, he was the one who gave me my dad's map. I wandered over to them, I have each and every one a hug. I just stood there, reminiscing about the past. All the memories flooded through my brain like a wound up video in my head. Suffering is part of life, and death.

Tomorrow it's my first day of University and I don't think I'm ready for it. I'm pretty sad and emotional today. I always came here when I felt bad or anxious cause this made me calm a lot. I had suffer from depression and this was the only thing that made me felt something, like I was part of something. I felt like I was there, in Hogwarts, where I didn't had any problems of my real life. Now, 6 months ago of my last time here, I can say that im happier now. I had help, but I was the one who helped me the most.
starting University is making me feel overwhelmed. Im not saying I'm feeling like I felt back when I was here 6 months ago, but I'm pretty sad cause I don't wanna grow up anymore. I don't want to be an adult. I lost 6 years of my life in here, crying in silence in my bed to sleep...
Btw, I know this is going to end and tomorrow I will go to University with a big smile and I will like it cause it's going to be the end and the start of an era for me. I just felt the need to come here and cry one last time for my old life. And feel grateful cause I'm able to listen to this again, cause 10 months ago I chose life although I didn't want to live anymore.
Harry Potter will always be that special thing for me, the thing that made me choose life.
Here I am again, facing the ghosts that took me years to destroy, feeling like months ago, or years. I don't know why I'm like this, I don't think it's that hard to me to be happy, I just feel like I sabotage myself to be sad and depressed. I didn't want to be like that again, but here I am. And I'm seeing the black hole again and it's starting to eating me.

Music surely does make everything so much more emotional. That is why I have the computer speaker on "mute" while I watch this. I am so hypersensitive I've even cried in church on several recent occasions (& it was even a funeral; I cried because certain hymn tunes shred my heart). Yes, some music does indeed shred my heart. I love music, it's my life, but not all music is easy for me to handle. Sad music (or even bittersweet music) rips & shreds my heart. Sorry I keep going on & on about my sensitivity to certain music. I hope I didn't offend anybody.

i don't know if i'd call it _joy_ necessarily, but these videos certainly bring me _calm._ over half of my ambience playlist is made up of these videos (i can't stand absolute silence, it drives me nuts, so i have ambient music playing whenever i can). yes, there are other channels included besides Ambient Worlds, but these videos are my favorite so i add any i come across because i know they'll be good.
