When you isolate the different tracks there is still a lot of overlap between the bass and lead guitars. Also between the rhythm guitar and drums. The twin vocals although separate wind together like a pair of ribbons. I've always maintained that Unseen world is a quintet of solo'd songs. All five musicians in perfect sync with both melody and rhythm producing a brain melting rock.
The focus on Akane and Misa show us a rhythmic couple that is simply the best in current rock. It's always fascinating to analyze the music of Band-Maid. Thanks Wave.👍
Thanks Wave for exploring this gem more! I have loved this song from the start, but it seems to get overlooked far too often with all the other great tracks on Unseen World... Every Maid, including most recently Saiki, has done at least 1 "self cover" of this song on Prime. 3 of them did 2 angles. In fact it might be collectively the most covered song on Prime... which shows I think how important & highly regarded it is to them! it is titled in the original Kanji their, so you might have overlooked it.
Listening to Unseen World in my car at the moment. It is such a killer album. Thanks for posting this. Why Why Why is brilliant, i hope they make a few more like that :)

So much to say and you pretty much covered it all and pin pointed exactly why I love this song so much... well done! Always a pleasure when you do those deep dive so I can't wait for the next one!
That's so cool! I never noticed Miku's backing vocal melody in that last epic section! I recently discovered that she's doing something similar in Hibana, in the small bridge just before the solo. She has a haunting melody in what i think is Locrian, but i'd love to hear your analysis of that song with the isolated tracks to be sure. Plus that song is slept on. Amazing work as always Wave!
The bass part at 4:13 in your reaction? MISA's slapping the E-string and popping the _A-string_ - not the D- or G-string. I didn't know this was even a thing (and it's a bitch getting a fingertip cleanly in between the thicker A and the D - though I guess MISA's fingers are just more graceful and sinuous than mine 😆). Also trying to stay in sync with Akane's craziness in this section even _with_ a click track (remember MISA doesn't use one) is challenging to say the least. And then at 13:36 (Measure 97) the repeating rhythm Kanami and Miku are doing of three eighth notes + two sixteenths looked super-easy on the page - until I tried to actually play it at 183 bpm. I think I need to try just rotating my wrist instead of any actual up-and-down motion. Or maybe they both just have bionic arms?
Misa doesn't think like everybody else! There is that moment in without holding back (only a measure) where she slaps the B and pop the E 🤯 took me quite some time to be sure that I was reading it right 🤣

Haha. Jimmy Page that Akane was like a reincarnation of John Bonham, but for me, if I were to compare her to someone of that era, I would say she is more like Keith Moon, but more disciplined.
