    Very helpful video! I successfully took my old iPod apart following your instructions. Now I'm waiting for a new battery to arrive, hopefully reassembling it will work too.

      Film it and upload. Or it's done already? I hope it worked!

    Thank you. I watched this video over and over to replace my old battery. Finally I got my nano fixed!!
    Before I start fixing it, I was trying to identify risks.
    But other clips did NOT show the most important parts on purpose.
    This video was only one I could examine the whole process thoroughly.
    I am glad to get my 36.8g ipod back.

      how hard is it to replace the battery i need my battery replaced with new one...do u need the heater to heat things up to remove battery

    • @ohm4156
      @ohm4156 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jasonnasiry you need a solder iron because nano's battery has a soldered connection with the main board.
      Replacing battery went easy with solder wick(or desoldering braid).

      Agreed. They only make iPod Touch now? They're the size of an old/small iPhone (5), but only 6mm deep, plus 12cm x 6cm - which is unnecessarily big.

    I was going to buy one for $10. As soon as you said solder, at the end, I decided it's a no. Wish they still did these because I have about 60GB or more of music. I need to get it synced to Plex so I can download it on my phone.

    I can't get the display slide out, I already removed all the screws on top and bottom, I stopped trying because the bracket of the screen is a little bend upside but not broken neither the switch, any idea why the screen is not sliding??? thanks

    Thanks for the instructions DIY_Nerd. My ipod nano has been 10 years old, and I find difficulties pulling the LCD screen out probably due to the age. I pull till the thin sheet metal got bend and it still not going out. Please help!

    Oh. This looks hazardous. My #iPodNano4G's battery doesn't really last long enough for an hour's run now. I had to switch to new earphones and I think they use more ohms (?) and after about 30 minutes one of the earpieces goes quieter. Also, it's powering the Nike+ pedometer receiver. I'd love a new battery fitted.
