Rabiya Mateo was one of the most popular contestants for Miss Universe 2020 since she was crowned Miss Universe Philippines back in 2020. Being Miss Philippines is a big honour but it also comes with a lot of pressure.

I love Rabiya's character. Her mom taught her best. She is such a good and responsible daughter. The very reason why Filipinos love her and at the same time...some sore losers got mad and envious.

I think the up part of Rabiya is that she is fresh to the industry and the downside to that is that she lacks the experience of knowing how to handle the criticisms of social media as a public figure. I'm excited for you to see the candidates registering for Miss Universe Philippines, SO MANY heavy weight pageant veterans and I'd be scared for the other contestants who will go up against them once Miss Universe starts. It'll be refreshing for you to see such seasoned, yet humble queens.
Rabiya is strong enough to handle the situation. But maybe sometimes after the national costume it affects to her the bad comments that suddenly she forgot to smile. Thats only my opinion. Too much expectation coz she really deserves a crown if she is given a chance to top 5. But that was not her destiny maybe in the other field she might conquer the world.
This is true and is bound to happen to anyone new to the industry but if you really look back at Rabiyas entire journey it was literally non stop criticism from day 1. None of the past filipino queens had dealt with such scrutiny and hate from the time they were crowned so it was no wonder it affected rabiyas performance. If you hadn't watched Tita Lavinias discussion on this interview you'll see just how difficult the entire year was for her in spite of putting her best self out there. She was dealt an unfair amount of challenge by the org, the fans, all of it damaged her journey.

Queen Rabiya is a true person and very honest that even her eyes bestowed the pain in her heart. I admire her strength, her honesty, her optimism and her faith that something good is waiting in the future. I love her for trusting Tito Boy and answering with both humility and pride. Catriona also work with some theater actors before the competition thats why when you see her videos not on the stage or videos with her friends and families its different, you will c her sweet side, kind of clingy side....but her videos during the competiton and her media interviews its game face on, shes very playful in the camera, she knows when to smile, when to smize, when to look fierce

This was a very good interview and I feel like the pressure was off for Rabiya and as always, Tito Boy did an amazing job in getting to the truth without being disrespectful. I, like Tito Boy, wished that the format wasn't changed because the strongest delegates didn't really get a chance. If we were able to hear from them, I'm sure the outcome would have been much different
