That was so much fun I enjoyed seeing and learning the names of the orchids blooming for you at the moment. And your previous video was informative for me. I have never had an orchid bloom for me since I have not owned one long enough. I don’t know if I would have recognized immediately the difference between a stem or root.
Hi ina. It seems you've really nailed the cattleya care and have some gorgeous blooms to show for it. I particularly love Toshi Aoki because it has all the colours I like and together they make such a stunning flower. I've had it in my sights many times but I can't provide the kind of light it needs to bloom successfully.
It is a stunning Cattleya, it was one of my favourites as well. You could try to grow some mini Cattleyas, some of them grow well under bright light (not super strong light).
I think your Toshie Aoki might be a hybrid with the toshie as a parent. It doesn't look like any Toshie Aokie I've seen before. The Toshie Aoki is a huge plant. I know you say yours is big but the Toshie Aokie should be bigger than that still.
I know the camera doesn't capture height very well, but this is the tallest cattleya in my collection. Let's see if it will become even taller as it matures... I trust the nursery tag, but I am aware that they sell orchids with the wrong IDs sometimes...
So many beauties in your collection! My favorites were the Cattleya Crystelle Smith and the Paph Mrs. White. 🤩🤩
My favorites are the Toshié Aoki, Bratonia, and the Sharry Baby. 😊

Thank you so much for watching 😍

I think the red one is an Oncostelopsis Fran’s Jewels “Ruby”.
It looks like it a lot. Thank you for "identifying" it for me 😍
