OCD doesn’t have to rule your life. Visit learn.nocd.com/YT to get started with effective treatment.

Very proud of you for coming out and being very open about your struggles. A ton of people just stay quiet about it and don't seek help. I'm glad you did.

Got relief with such an interview. Those who do not have therapist , this interview is just a great support for ocd people to understand that they are not alone.

Four years for me for OCD and I think I’ve pretty much had every theme , you think you get past one and then another one pops up. I felt everything she said, and it does need to be talked about more. Mine also exacerbated after a breakup so crazy what the brain can do. 😢

Thank you for sharing your story, I’ve been dealing with harm ocd for 3 months now, and just got in with NOCD. It’s great to feel camaraderie with others who have come before me in this and are living fulfilled lives

Harm OCD is the pits 😢 I’m in therapy and on Meds. The guilt, shame and anger you feel daily is so hard. I’m a Christian so I pray and trust The Lord that I can help someone else one day.

I’m so sorry I couldn’t get through this due to the lip smacking but thank you for sharing your story. I’m glad you’re in a better place with your mental health & hope the best for you in the future!

Wow! Amazing! This literally my story! I'm so sorry you went through that too! The scariest thing ever and I would never wish this on anyone! I'm so much better! You are not your thoughts. We all have bad scary thoughts but the difference is we are so sensitive and are the kindest souls that's why the thoughts bother us so much! We ruminate and try to figure out why these thoughts are in our minds and that feed the cycle.

Amazing interview. I have been dealing with existential OCD, and I used to think that my type of OCD was too different, too abstract to be dealt with. I understand now that it all comes to the same line, this part of us that cannot stand uncertainty. Thank you for sharing your story, so inspiring ❤

Thank you so much for sharing your story. Been struggling for the last 5 years. The stigma and talking about the type of OCD I have is really hard to deal with. Been seeing an NOCD therapist for the past 6 months. Starting new in person therapy with someone in the next couple weeks. I feel like meds could help but all the SSRI’s and others I’ve tried made me feel flat and unmotivated but may have to try again. Thanks again

Well idk if this is true but can ocd traumatize us because my thoughts were horrible and took almost months for a certain thought to go away and the fear and anxiety was too much

4:36 diagnosed with epilepsy in the second grade? I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 43 and now six years later it seems like an eternity. Just four months ago I have had OCD symptoms which come from being disabled and all day indoors alone until my kids come from school.
