    I love my Escape S. I'm glad I have one with the diamond pattern on the doors. If your worried about power with the 3 cylinder don't. The 1.5 has plenty of power. It is so quick off the line for in town driving and surprisingly it loves to cruse on the highway at 70mph. I also impressed with the comfort of the seats, how solid the care feels , how it handles the list goes on and on. I traded in one of the top rated SUVs .

    I went from a Ford pick up to the 2020 Escape SEL and love it!!!

      @CarsWithSteve  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow that's great! How are you finding the change in height?

    • @gxl5892
      @gxl5892 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Coming out of a pick up and going into a car is too low in height for me. I tested almost every mid and small SUV and always felt like I was in a typical mom SUV. The first time I sat in the Escape I knew this right for me. The seats are the best of any vehicle I tested and because of the shape of the Escape body, the sight lines all the way around make me feel like I higher up like my truck and driving a sporty, cool car

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gxl5892 Great explanation! I do think Ford did a great job on the redesign of the Escape. There's always the Bronco Sport for folks who like the boxier style SUVs. Enjoy the new car!

    I wish all car videos were this well made. You speak so perfectly!!! I really like so much about this vehicle, but I'm 6'9" and my kids are mini giants and growing like beanstalks. Thank you for saving me a trip to Ford to see how we fit. And they discontinued the Flex :-(

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Joseph! Being 6'9" there isn't really a way you'd be able to comfortably fit inside the Escape. You might be ok in an Explorer, Expedition or F150 with the seats back and reclined!

    Thanks! Another great review! I purchased the 2021 Escape Hybrid Titanium model and it is a great vehicle. I did have one issue from Day one...the B&O sound system has a very bad and noticeable rattle in the subwoofer area...so bad that you can not listen to the system. I am pretty sure that it is being caused by a defective bracket and or not enough insulation and not the subwoofer itself. It is quite noticeable at certain frequencies. I wonder if you could look at one of these at the dealership you use. I hope that enough people that have this issue would get Ford to issue a fix or a TSB for this. At any rate I do enjoy your videos! Keep them coming!

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! That's weird about the rattle - have you had your selling dealer take a look at it? It would be covered as part of the warranty! There are a few 2021 Hybrids incoming in a week so I should hopefully have a review on that sometime in April! Will definitely check blast the sound system a bit to see if there's a rattle I can hear

      @@CarsWithSteve Hi Steve...thanks for responding to me. Yes, I have had it back to the dealer 3 times so far. The last time they added some rubber washers to the screws holding the speaker to the bracket. It is much better now but I can still hear it on certain songs. After much research I found that others with the 2020 and 2021 Titanium trim have this same problem. It would be very interesting if you could check out the ones that are coming in. If you do a search on fordescape.org you will see quite a few complaints on this. Here is a link to it: www.fordescape.org/threads/b-o-subwoofer-rattling.115253/

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's exciting! I've got a video coming out on the SEL Hybrid in the next few weeks, just editing it now!
      There's the reverse sensing system which you are able to toggle off. If you go to Settings --> Driver Assistance you can toggle off that reverse sensing beep.
      However Hybrids across the Ford lineup also have an audible tone that cannot be turned off. They automatically come on at low speeds as a safety measure for people outside the vehicle because it's next to impossible to hear them reversing otherwise. Technically there are aftermarket tunes to turn it off but safety wise it should be left on

    It is a very good truck in mechanical matters so far, BUT it is poorly finished with origin from the USA, the plastics are hard in most of the doors and dashboard, the imitation wood inside is of very poor quality, the draws of doors and bodywork are bad, on the dashboard near the front glass you can see the exposed metal bodywork, when you accelerate fully you smell or gas from the combustion if the air is on, the air recirculation cannot be controlled despite have the warning light on and it is turned off by the system at will, the Subwoofer in the top-of-the-range titanium version when you play high volume or songs with bass, the trunk sounds like everything is loose, the mudguards or wheel covers are not even made of a mat they are plastic, the mirrors do not have direction lights nor are they retractable (apparently they ran out of these due to the pandemic and only some models have this). If it is leather, the upholstery is not straight and sometimes it is usually torn. it has no engine cover to help with the dirt that falls on it.
