    Nice review, man! Quick question tho, how tall are you?
    Just wanna get a gauge on how I would look riding the CBR ;)

    As a 2016 cbr500r I like the new one.

    I'm not the slightest bit interested in "sports" bikes; I'm here for the F, but at 1:00 that R looks very good coming through that corner. It looks lots more expensive than it is.

    I had a 2013 Honda CB500F which was lovely and I fitted an Ackrapovic slip on exhaust to it! however I was involved in an accident on her a few months ago and she was declared a cat N write off :( so Im looking for a new bike and I'm considering the CBR500R as a replacement

    Nice; was wondering about this one!
    Still think I'd pick that new CBR650R (at its € 2.400 premium) over this though, that one seems to hit the spot just right!
    Love that 600-ish range coming alive again and it not just being in the naked category. After the brilliant CBR600R and Triumph Daytona 675R I've been waiting for something like it to get into. Daytona 765R and Aprilia RS660 perhaps once they launch, but for now Honda CBR650R for me is the top pick.
    Wish Ducati would join in on the fun... like a V4 R with the engine and price of the Monster 797? Yes please! And where is BMW? Same goes for them, would love a S1000RR-looking bike with F800R engine and price. One can dream... oh well.

    I just bought a new cbr500r for just over £4k but it is the 2018 model but on a 19 plate. It is very comfortable but I am still running it in.

    Really a shame that Honda didnt made the F in more a retro style with upside down forks and with a 270 deg crank inside the engine.

    I think the cb500f is a good looking bike even tho I would choose the cbr. I mean it’s a big upgrade from the cb125f that looked so horrible, like an Asian street bike if you get what I mean hehe

    • @ridehead8771
      @ridehead8771 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cb125f is a basic starter bike with cheap air-cooled engine, aimed for Learners if you will, its cheap and practical commuter, it's slow being 11 bhp but returns over 100mpg.

    • @bennettsbikesocial
      @bennettsbikesocial  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi, I'm exactly 6ft tall and about 91kg so you can see that both bikes are fine in terms of comfort and fit. Hope that helps.

    The reason I like the CBR500R is that it feels like a 650 in size!! Not a "nice little" bike! lol! Thats a 250, not the 500!

    I still don't know what to pick out of a CBR 500R and an R3.
    I want the CBR 500R but I am not sure how it handles on the winding roads. 🤔

    • @ripmax333
      @ripmax333 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It will handle winding roads just great, its a bit more heavy that the R3 but it will be more practical for longer journeys, it like a mini sports tourer.

    • @ridehead8771
      @ridehead8771 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Speedwise the R3 will probably as fast but the only difference will be the Torque advantage of the 500r, meaning tackling hills is a lot easier and of course arguably more reliable in the long run.

    The gauge of CB650F is so damn ugly so disappointing, it should be like this CB500F LCD screen.

      CB 650f is discontinued, replaced by the new CB650r. I guess you know that by now.

    Why would you get the 500 and not the 650?

    • @surferdude642
      @surferdude642 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The 500 is lighter, less expensive, and the seat is lower. Comparing the r versions the cbr500r is more upright.

    Yes, I'm in the silent minority. But bike reviews spend too much time on the visual objectives of the stylists. Toss it. If you stripped all that off and hung it on a Chinese scooter, you would have nothing under the plastic, but you would have a genuine motorcycle standing there beside it. Aside from a little bit of wind protection, style is just uber expensive crap.
    Tell me about the motorcycle.
