I saw Fallon's video for her quilt top and she listed the link for the collaboration video. This was so much fun to watch. Love y'all's interaction. Looking forward to finding/watching Kris and Becca's videos to piece and complete their quilt tops, too. Thanks ladies. Take care and blessings to y'all.
Having a lot of fabric is a great blessing, this is how I view my "stash beyond life expectancy" lol. Where to put it is another issue.😊 Great show ladies!
Love that even the pros make mistakes! God, that was funny! Sew Yeah sent me a small video how to take the cap off the Aurifil. Somehow I’ve used three spools without having to do so! I was losing my mind! Starting my Alaska Quilt. Haven’t been on the sales lately but I have two years worth of sewyeah’s fabric to use up 😅. Fallon, you’re so right about backing and batting. Add small condo and home machine :) Kris, I have at least 15 quilt tops lol. Becca, I emailed you. We met through Sew Yeah somehow. Love this video! Thank you, Ladies!
Good idea to buy no new fabric and no patterns. I have enough of both to blankey the Pakistani Army. Recently, I have spend my wad on yarn. So I crochet while you quilt. Further, I have so much food. I am trying to avoid the grocery store and prepare meals from what I have. I reach into freezer and pull whatever. Nothing to go to waste in the vegie drawers. You never know how creatively you can cook with oddball ingredients. Yesterday I made carrot pancakes and they were excellent. Keep up the good work and quilt from what you have!
Becca, I remember when you didn’t like color. Now that you do, I love Zen Chic Spotted for blending. It’s beautiful! I know I’m more modern, but honestly it’s so beautiful. Fat Quarter Shop has good sales on it once in a while and I buy yardage then. If Sew Yeah isn’t carrying it. Jumping off for work. (I know this isn’t live 😊) HAGD
Hello! I somehow came across your channel yesterday. This was SO enjoyable! I really enjoyed it. I need to go find all of you now and watch. Thanks ladies! 😊
This is my first time viewing your channel. I am enjoying listening to you three! You are making me laugh. I just purchased a Bernina, and it is teaching me!
I had a chance to watch this video this morning…such fun! You kept me company while I sew scraps for a Scrap Ladder Quilt. I LOVE YOU LADIES!! It was so real - like visiting with good friends. You are always so encouraging and honest. I particularly enjoyed the discussion about scrap management. I, too, just cannot “waste time” cutting down my scraps until I have a particular project in mind. Currently I have about 4 scrap projects in the works. As I was cutting the 2” x 3.5” blocks for the potato chip quilt, I was aware that I need long strips of varying widths for the sides of the scrap ladders blocks, plus pieces at least 5” long for the “rungs of the ladder.” I set aside 2.5” blocks or strips for another quilt which interests me. So as I was trimming, I rough cut and saved pieces in separate shoeboxes for those quilts. I also want to make an I Spy quilt, so I have a box for fun prints cut to at least a 5” square. I enjoyed the “management process” for a while, but I cannot empty my scrap bin. My ADD kicks in and I have to move on to something else. THANKS again for being there!!
Tiffany does quick baby quilts with those 5" squares. You could do bags and pouches to use some of the other size ones you have sitting there? Mug cosies, bowl cosies, popcorn microwave bags, place mats, pot holders, thread catchers, tool caddies, pincushions, whatever small things you want, for projects for gifts. Those 2 1/2" sqs, just need to migrate over a few at a time, in a small bowl or container. Turn them into 4 patches 2 light, 2 dark as you sew, then 16 patches when you're nearly done for the day. Stack 'em up, on a design board (?) until you have enough for a small or larger project. Maybe just until they leave you space for something else? I totally agree on 10"squares... you can cut them so many ways when you need them smaller, so why limit yourself from the start? 10" = 4×5", or 9×3", etc. So that's a win for a four charm matching, block or keep 'em together for multi hsts e.g.
Watching this after the event. You girls are among my favourite creators…I think first I found was Fallon, who was very helpful.😊 You all have Juki machines now…I don’t have one. Maybe one day. Thanks for the laughs…Chain of Fools really hit home for me. 🇦🇺❤️
I’ve been on an AK cruise and out of service for a week, this was the first video that popped up❣️😊 It was fun hearing the convo’s about scraps, needle sizes and seeing everyone’s projects. Then Kris’s following camera😳⁉️ Anyway, fun to watch👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼
Currently working on quilt no 11 made from fabrics that I either had or was donated to us. I am using this project to try out my new quilt designs or u tube quilt patterns after putting my own twist on it. So far I have only had one that I am not really happy about
I figure into quilting about 3 1/2 yrs I must not be such a newbie anymore since I'm not in the sales room buying a yard of things just cause it's pretty! Now I'm working on cutting those fabrics and leftovers into 2 1/2 strips to make a very scrappy and bright log cabin for my room. Need something much brighter and light weight for a summer quilt. King size so it will take a lot of fabric. It also won't hurt so much when I go to have it quilted. Las Vegas is a little too warm for a heavier quilt. I'm also using a lot of my stash for the free classes I'm taking at Sew Yeah during the summer. Keep them cheap because I take the classes to learn new techniques from all the instructors (like you Becca, took your braided table runner class). Thank you.
I’ve had to double up the amount of animal shelter blankets I make because of the extra fabric I bought last year. Donated some fabric too. Just don’t have the room or money for more storage
Send me your scraps/ I love to cut them down and use them in scrappy quilts, borders, etc. Any time you want to get rid of them, send them to me. I would really appreciate and use them.
I made a news year resolution to finish the projects that I have and not to buy new fabric. So far so good.

The sewing machine issue was great. I had a great laugh.
You guys are so much to listen to. I love hearing all of you.
Loved watching the challenge you did with Brody. So funny!!!

So true!
This has been fun. Hugs for all, Chel 🌸
You go ladies! How fun. I love being creative and using what I have. Just started an applique quilt with what I have. Not buying more fabric.

Enjoying the replay ❤
I'm really enjoying your discussions on fabrics, and buying or not buying more. I hope you will all be getting 'together' again
Looks like great fun ladies!
I love scraps. I don't cut them till I sew project. I store them by size (measuring the short side). Thank you for sharing. I really enjoyed this@
I found your discussion on scraps and fabric purchase/storage very interesting.
Thanks for watching!
This was so fun and funny! I’m already subscribed to Kris’s channel, but I’m going to subscribe to all of you. Thank you for the laughs and fun!
Thank you!!
I'm having a blast with you 3 together ❤

Love this idea!!!
Awesome job everone
Love this collaboration!! Do more!!
You got it!
Good Evening Friends from Winnipeg, MB
Love all three of you!
My issue is addicted to buying from Sew Yeah. I have way to much fabric and i am a new quilter this year. May never use all my fabric!!!😂
I’ve had to double up the amount of animal shelter blankets I make because of the extra fabric I bought last year. Donated some fabric too. Just don’t have the room or money for more storage
Thanks ladies
This collab was a terrific idea!
❤️❤️❤️
Thanks! Great idea for our guild as a challenge.
Aww, thank you so much Jeannie for the donation!
Great conversation!
Im working on a project from the 80's. Storm at sea. Not doing very well with all of the points to match.
So you allll have a Juki? Is it that fabulous? What are the selling points? Should I get one?
I absolutely love mine! It’s a powerhouse - and a very solid machine. It does one thing only, but does it REALLY well.
I would love to do the quilt that Becca did with the Tula pink material what was the name of it please
The quilt pattern I used for the Tula Pink quilt was the 'Kaleidoscope of Stars' pattern.
I can’t find your finished quilt and pattern
That's cause it's not out...yet! July 4 is when I plan to unveil the fully finished quilt and release the pattern!
Kick it 😂
Send me your scraps/ I love to cut them down and use them in scrappy quilts, borders, etc. Any time you want to get rid of them, send them to me. I would really appreciate and use them.
