The other thing about this is, that Durango isn't going anywhere. Juneau doesn't have any road connections that go anywhere else, and it's a pretty small community, they'll catch up to them sooner or later
For those of you that don't understand, the officer had to drive at what many of you consider to be too slow of a speed. Remember that this was in Juneau, Alaska. The roads there in the winter are very dangerous and slick with snow and ice. What appears as clear pavement sometimes is actually black ice. You have to be careful. I lived in Fairbanks where the roads are more treacherous. Also, the only way in and out of Juneau is by plane or boat. I'm sure they eventually caught this idiot!

Is it though? Obviously it appears to be a chase that was discontinued likely for bad road conditions such as black ice. No clickbait found that I can see.

High rate of speed? That Durango looked like it was going the speed limit. These cops need to learn when to jump in and chase and when to leave people alone.
The red Durango knew the rules of the game. The message to criminals is when you see flashing lights, step on the gas, they will let you go every time. Weak politicians are in control here.
100% correct. The jury trial I was on for a convicted Juneau offender who had warrants out for him repeatedly successfully ran from the police and got away. When he was finally caught in part by an aware off duty JPD officer, his POS car was equipped with a police scanner and he was very aware of how the police had their hands tied behind their backs by our liberal mayor and city council. The video I got to watch made me proud of the boys in blue that day and I was overjoyed when the pursuit went to a foot chase and the want-to-be-ganger's pants fell down while running and did a head-first summersault. The dude had wrap sheet a mile long and the week DA just kept letting him loose to endanger us all. Lock that shit up!
