- These are Crocs. And a lot of people think they’re really ugly. People who love to hate Crocs had cause to celebrate in 2008, when investors were writing the company off as a passing fad. Crocs lost over $185 million that year and cut 2,000 jobs. The stock plunged to just over $1 a share from a high of about $69 a year earlier.
But over the next decade, Crocs would go on to sell 700 million pairs of shoes worldwide. Recently, the clogs have have been strutting down runways at luxury fashion shows. Celebrities like Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and Post Malone are wearing the shoes. It’s a top brand among Gen Z. And limited edition Crocs are selling for up to $1,000 on the resale market. Crocs have become... a collector’s item.

Most American media tends to do this. They're talking to an audience with a 12-second attention span, and are frequently interrupted by add breaks so they need to "update new viewers". They also have a tendency to dramatize everything. Makes it very difficult to sit through their documentaries.
The testimonials from people and experts added nothing and was a huge waste of time.

That’s exactly what my 12 year old son said lol. He’s been asking me for a while not to buy him any. But of course I didn’t listen. When I bought myself a new pair, I bought him a pair as well. They sat in his room for 2 days before he finally tried them on. Now he wants to wear them daily to school. He literally told my husband just yesterday, “I get it now!” My son hates sneakers and really loves summer because he lives in sandals.

Y’all didn’t even mention at the end how they have been supporting health care workers by giving out free pairs of crocs every day since the pandemic started! A lot of my coworkers have been so excited when they won a free pair! We all come in to work and ask each other if we have signed up for the free pair yet. Haha it’s crazy, but it’s a cool thing they are doing!

I live in South East Asia where we always have typhoons during monsoon season. Initially I balked at the though of wearing anything that ugly. But then someone gave a pair to me as a gift, and they were put to test during monsoon season. Imagine not being afraid of ruining your shoes when it rains hard. Flood? I can walk home thank you very much. Just wash and rinse and they are good to go.

Same here, in SE Asian tropical countries, the anti slip Soles come in handy through Rain, puddles, and potholes (yes they protect my foot when I accidentally step on watery potholes because of flood) who knows what kind of Nails or Sharp objects in there... Became a fan for life!

I have 3 pairs of crocs and appreciate the comfort they provide. I could care less what people think of them. I enjoy wearing them.

Im a nurse, I started wearing crocs even before I graduated. I switched to sneakers for a while because of back pain but since coronavirus I went back to my crocs because its easy to bleach/clean after work.

Bought a Crocs back in 2012 and I still use it sometimes. It's very durable.
As a person with high arches and wide feet I LOVE crocs. I could never wear birkenstocks or other sandals because they were so painful!

I believe bircks have a break in period for the cork sole to mould into your foot shape in order to provide comfort. Crocs take the cake for footwear that's easy to clean and comfortable off the shelf in my opinion though.
I had some mary jane style crocs and they were really comfortable. IDGAF if people don't like them. Comfort comes before anyone's opinion lol

Crocs also makes sandals and flips flops that are comfortable. If clogs aren’t your style, there’s plenty of different options to choose from.

Even very stylish suede ankle boots that no one would know are crocs unless they saw the logo on the Soles. SOO comfy yet totally fashionable
3 reasons i'm still using Crocs:
Comfortable (for simple walk)
Durable( my 6 years old Crocs still doing fine)
Unique ( some people might think it is ugly but at least it looks different than others so that's why it's unique)
One of the most important feature for me of is that it protects you from edges banging your pinky.

Never liked crocs until I bought a pair and they’ve actually been helping my 10+ year painful foot problem that nothing else has seemed to help much with. The most comfortable things ever, I don’t even care how they look. The bumps on the insoles also seem to help with circulation. Crazy but they’re working for me, wish I knew sooner lol

If they could design a slim croc that isn't so bulky and clog like, more like a vans slip on I would consider giving crocs a try but as they stand i cant, and for that reason I'm out.
Yeah. I remember when I was little having ones that looked slightly like ballet flats that were really cute (with a lot of holes for the charms), but it seems like they discontinued those ones. 😕The clogs are really ugly.

Bought a pair two months ago and love them! Always thought they were ugly and changed my mind after seeing them being worn by students and staff at my school. I am a middle school teacher and they are so comfortable. I now own two pair and buying my third and fourth pair today. They are amazing!

They have nice colors, but the main croc clog design they are showing in this video is still ugly and overpriced. I believe it is just a popular trend.

I used to crack on Crocs the INSTANT they first dropped...”Why would anyone wear something so ugly?!”. On and on I went...just roasting them...until about a 2-3 months ago. I was walking around an Academy Sports store and saw some in my size...tried them on and I just stood there for 30 seconds reveling in the insane comfort! I walked out wearing them and have been eating crow since! I love them and I love the fact they ARE ugly!
They are a staple footwear especially in SE Asian countries where the weather is too hot for normal sneakers and crocs provide a perfect balance of closed 'slippers'. Easy to put on and easy to take off.
I love my crocs, wear them everyday around the house for the past 3 years, comfy after a long day and only have discoloration from hair dye falling on them :P

Believe me, the world is not paying a bit of attention to what you are wearing on your feet when you step outside your house. They are not hyperfocused on you, they are focused on themselves. So you may as well be comfortable in the meantime
My parents put me in Crocs when I was 4 and all my friends were wearing them too, I didn’t even realise until I watch this video but I still own 2 pairs of Crocs that are new and regularly worn today

They are very popular among healthcare staff. There have been a ton of us waiting in line at noon on our phones to get a free pair since they are giving free pairs to healthcare workers....still waiting in line every day 2 months later 🥴😂

The pandemic is what encouraged me to get my first 4 pairs of crocs and I'm absolutely obsessed with them now! I didn't think much about them before, and didn't think they'd work well with my feet as they are quite narrow, but they fit very well and are super comfortable. I didn't get the classic crocs tho as they have other variations which are more stylish IMO!

I wear my crocs until they have holes in their sole, which can take up to 3 years. When they vanished from the shelves I had to resort to regular sandals and house-shoes and they break so fast. I found crocs on the internet again and now y'all have to rip them off my cold dead feet!
Fyi they have a lot of designed of crocs that you loved actually its comfortable in foot than the other shoe. And its easy to wash🤗

Actually i had a pair for seven years wore tham mostly everyday because I live on a beach. They last for ever and excuse me they did cost me like 60 bucks so I was going to be able to look for another pair
I think they are incredibly ugly but my nephews (ages 5 to 12) wear them religiously because they are very comfortable and easy to wear. So I know they are a hit among school age kiddos.
the reason why the business goes up than down is because when people buy them they last forever nobody has a reason to get a new pair, so the company has to wait for a whole new group of generation to pick them back up again and the cycle continues.
