My brakes have felt a little “spongy” and I suspect it is the power brake booster also. What was that truck doing that led you to think the power booster needed replacing?
Check if you don’t have a small leak of brake fluid, lift the tires and put the car on neutral and spin each tire they should spin freely if one of them feels a little stuck it could be a stuck slide pin bushings on the caliper or the caliper piston is getting stuck, once you check all of those thingsclamp all four brake hoses start the car and pump the brake pedal twice and hold it down if you feel that the pedal still goes down a little it means you have a bad master cylinder, but you need to make sure you don’t have leaks ,stuck caliper piston or slide pins first cause they can cause spongy brake pedal to, the brake booster they are changing on this video is when you have a really hard brake pedal the booster is to make the brake pedal a little shoft to push but it doesn’t goes down more than it supposed to, spongy is when you push the brake pedal and it feels like the more you push the more it goes down and the car is not stopping it doesn’t feel safe at all ☝️ make sure the brake pads still thick I forgot to mention that too 😅✌️

Good video. I have 03 tahoe. I'm going to replace power booster. Very difficult under the dash area to get to the 4 bolts behind pedal.

Hard to push the brake pedal. Check first the vacuum hose, if the vacuum hose ok brake booster need replacement
