I get al my Italian and Spanish leather sandals at the Goodwill, almost brand new, and I save them from year to year. They are all feminine and beautiful!
For some reason I have been eyeing Keds shoes lately. They have some very effortless and summery sneakers that have a timeless vintage flair to them. Don't know if you'd like those, but those came to my mind when you asked for sneaker recommendations
This was a fun videos. I disagree about shoes being a good investment piece, though. I am older and between your age and mine I found that my feet changed several times to the point where I had to change shoe sizes and could no longer wear certain styles completely. If you ever plan on having children your feet also change size and shape and usually don’t go back to what they were before.
@@au_barb Mine changed about a full shoe size during my first pregnancy and not so much on the second one. Now I have developed some arthritis in my feet and can no longer wear certain styles that push on certain areas of my feet. I am 48. A few years ago I had to go through all of the footwear that I owned and ended up ditching about 1/2 that used to fit great due to fit and size.
@@nellivilhelmiina It is..but you also never know if you will develop some foot issues down the line that change the shape of your feet or how you are able to wear footwear in general.
@@faeriesmak one of the reasons I'm glad I never had kids is that I already wear size 11 shoes 😂 I have had some foot issues, and injuries, but luckily nothing that affected my shoe size 🤞🏻🤞🏻 been an 11 medium since forever.
I love your personality, and your passion sparkles when you describe your wish list - made me want to purchase these items even though they are not my style😂
I know exactly what you mean about the sandals, I can't find sandals that I actually like that don't look 2014 lol the sandals you shared were actually cute but soooo expensive, but leather is worth it...
The best sneakers I own that are samba-like are the onitsuka tiger Mexico 66. They are similar in shape and style but the leather is sooo much softer. They truly feel like being barefoot
Growing up in manhattan, my closed toe summer shoe lifestyle was solidfied at a very young age. I only started buying "slide" sandals that still mostly cover your feet like two years ago for errands now that I moved out.
I'm crazy and buy all the shoes... But I thrift pretty much all of them except for going through Macy's clearance shoes like 2 times a year. I also don't have space.... But I am willing to give up space for the cute shoe library ❤
I think the prices for Sézane clothes are ok, given that the quality is good but the shoes for some reason are super overpriced. Shoes from companies that predominantly make clothes and aren't shoe makers are usually not good quality in my experience. But I totally agree that the sandals are cute and a little bit of a heel is a lot more comfortable to walk in than super flat shoes. Edit: I agree about the mesh flat being a marker of our time and I love them because they are a proper new item that hasn't been around before. Those are rare, because almost everything has been done (repeatedly, too). I just personally find them stupid and would never wear them, so I'm in two minds, haha. Also, re: trends some of them absolutely stick around for years, just think of skinny jeans. Just when I thought they were now a proper classic jean style they were out :) Have you thought about the Onitsuka Tigers? Pretty elegant and even more comortable than the Sambas. Someone else already mentioned Supergas, they're not a proper sneaker but I think they're nice in the summer because they're canvas.
Sneakers are hard to find! Maybe Superga? Diana wore them. I like my pair of Cotu classics in dark bordeaux, but they’re a tiny bit too dainty so I’m still looking for an alternative.
summer shoes are my ultimate pet peeve, but thats because im super picky i hate showing my toes so no sandals, i dont want a ballet flat because they're too close to the ground for me and platforms are too heavy for summer, sneakers are suffocating to wear with socks... i don't know what to do 😭 i had my eye on some jazz sneakers actually because they seem like the right mix of comfort and breathability but i've yet to pull the trigger. for now im settling with the vans slip on ive had since i was 18... they're v athleisure and i'm trying to 'adultify' my look now that i'm gonna turn 26 so for now they do the work !
I own the leather Michaela flat in black and tan. They re-released them as ballet flats became popular again so I literally hunted them down because they were fully sold out. I've had the tan pair for 2 years and the black for a year and I have worn them sooooo much. Very comfortable and I'm debating getting a mesh pair also. lol
SHOES. Lol, for small sneakers I’ve been wearing all-white Nike Classic Cortez since they re-released in 2022 and they are pretty low key imo. I also like the Veja brand and Nothing New but have never tried any on. Either way I usually stay away from ones with high-contrast logos just to keep them lower key in case trends die out lol
i have also been toying w the idea of a new cute sneaker, thinking about getting some onitsuka tigers, annoying that they don’t see new in the us anymore but still……. might have to cop
Watching you talk about the shoes as a French girl was SOOOO funny, “Mon Chéri” is a cherry chocolate with alcohol here, very grandma drinking in disguise.
Aw did you live in Garmisch? Such a beautiful area! I went to Munich International School and had lots of friends that lived on base, I loved going down there.
hopefully this is not unsolicited, but i find that my all white adidas stan smiths match everything in the summer and are currently much less trendy than sambas 😊

Hey!! Michaela I am your new subscriber here and I really really love your videos so so much you are looking so beautiful and I wish you reach 10K Subscribers very very soon!♥️♥️♥️
Seeing any red polished shoes reminds me of that folktale about the girl who fell in love with a pair of red shoes, wore them everywhere, went to church in them and spent the whole time staring at them and not paying attention, eventually the shoes meld to her feet and she dances herself to exhaustion and then she .. dies??? I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be a message against materialism for little kids but I love the idea that I might be that in love with a shoe to the point where its supernatural
I cringe every time I see a samba in the wild. Also, after watching you for the very first time I bought some red espadrilles 😂 I didn’t need telling twice!
highly recommend the castaner espadrilles, i have two pairs and i love them. so comfy and well made

I have keds in my closet every year and never grow tired of the classic, streamlined look!
Keds are cute! I find that they run about 1/2 size large, though.

The pregnancy thing is very individual though, my shoe size stayed the same troughout pregnancy and is still the same.
Granted, I haven't had children, but I'm 56, and I've worn the same size shoe since I was in college in the late 80's.

asics onitsuka (the "Mexico vintage") running shoe is a nice slim summer sneaker ;)
Would love if you styled your pink gazelles in a video because I have the same ones!
i have a pair of off white keds with lace ribbon instead of shoe laces and i enjoy them;)
I know exactly what you mean about the sandals, I can't find sandals that I actually like that don't look 2014 lol the sandals you shared were actually cute but soooo expensive, but leather is worth it...

Simple on the clothing and accessorizing
♡♡

I know I'm super late but the Van Mary Janes are great!!
Those target mesh flats were in my cart& my suddenly my size sold out over night now I know why lol ☺️ I hope they restock them!
*they did🤗
Those Birkenstock Cannes are so cute!
Onitsuka tiger Mexico 66 are my go to sneakers for summer! they are so much comfier than sambas too
I’ve been crushing on these for awhile!! They just never seem to stock my size 😭
Maybe Superga sneakers could be a contender

Keep going!! You have a wonderful and entertaining personality. I’m rooting for you babe. Cheers to your success
I've been enjoying the Eliot Runner from Tracksmith for my everyday summer shoe.
Sneakers are hard to find! Maybe Superga? Diana wore them. I like my pair of Cotu classics in dark bordeaux, but they’re a tiny bit too dainty so I’m still looking for an alternative.
Zara has a cute pair of red Mary Jane’s for $40, , I love those loafers with details, xo
I’ve been having the same struggle with finding a sneaker 🙏🏼
so insanely hard to find!!

Heyyy love your videos! Could you do a jewelery styling video? I want to do mixed metals but i need more inspo❤ thanks
I think you could wear your red espradrilles with something all black or something all white, or even tan.

one of the few things i respect about carrie is her devotion to a cute shoe LMAO
Watching you talk about the shoes as a French girl was SOOOO funny, “Mon Chéri” is a cherry chocolate with alcohol here, very grandma drinking in disguise.
Well the shoe literally says that on them 😂
LOVE my Keds Center lll Sneaker😍 XOXO
i live in the city and wear my camper mary janes all the time. a little pricey but sooooo worth it.
I love trainers from Veja!
Aw did you live in Garmisch? Such a beautiful area! I went to Munich International School and had lots of friends that lived on base, I loved going down there.
I lived near Ramstein 😊
hopefully this is not unsolicited, but i find that my all white adidas stan smiths match everything in the summer and are currently much less trendy than sambas 😊
