There are such things as "beginner" platforms. How about creepers? They have plats 2-3 inches tall, and not too much height on the heel. Anything with a fairly flat footbed will work to start with, don't put so much weight on the ball of the foot at first. (Jan Griffiths).
I really liked my Killstar shoes, actually over my Demonia in terms of them being more functional and comfortable. The demonia are a wedge heel type and they look SICK but after 4-5 hours my feet are dead. The Killstars, not heeled like that, feel like normal shoes!
Thats so true! I dont know what kinda technology killstar uses, but i once tried on some buckled shoes they felt so good, lightweight and as if they were moving with my foot as i walk🤯

It's the opposite for me 😅 my killstar boots have a wedged heel and my demonias keep my feet flat. Obviously depends on the style you buy from either company. But, the wedged platform KILLS my toes after walking for awhile 😂

I personally really recommend doc martens platforms for a first type of platform boots since their platforms arent that big and doc martens will last you longer than demonia which usually break around the heel (i have the sainclair which are approximately 5cm) , and im planning on buying demonia ashes-55

just got my first pair of Neptune 210s, I found I didn't need to adjust how I walked very much with them! Id recommend them for others wanting that sorta style of combat boot/alt boot hybrid
i got buffalo butterfly sneakers and absolutely loved them. comfortable and amazing looking. wore them everyday in all conditions. despite paying 100€, they didnt even last a year. saw later on a reddit post of someone's buffalo shoes having the same rip in the shoe's sole as mine :/

Now my black ones are falling apart (i wore them nearly everyday for 1 1/2 years). The shaker 52 is a great choice as first pair, and at least like that you know that you defo wear them and that the money is well spent if u wore the other ones for 6 months!

Do buffalos break easily bcs i read their trustpilot and everybody shat on them for the bottom of the shoe apparently cracks in half at around 6months of use?? @@apet6752 good question and I have to say no I had one pair for 4 years and is still going on and I have like every buffalo under the sun and what I have to say is the bottom stays in good shape BUT the bottom shrinks over time and the thing that brakes is the inside of the shoe from your foot sliding in it

@cluuuu860 i have the shaker 52's in the regular black (not shiny), they're really comfortable right away but i don't really wear them outside because they make me super tall and insecure hhaha. Idk if they smell bad, To me they just have the "new shoe smell" and honestly i can't really say when that goes away since i keep mine in their original box (but would definitely say they smell less now than when they were new) but yeah im probably not the best person to give an answer here haha!
Doc martens ok yeah 100% good for starters when I started I got some BUT WEAR THEM AROUND THE HOUSE SO YOU DONT HET BLISTERS it happens to my sister AND GUESS I have some heels from there like chunky chain platforms!!
~Miyukichan~ I think so, there’s a store called “mayas shoes” or something like that. People have said the owner was rude and pushy and the heels came in bad quality
I was given a pair of shoes as a gift and they’re wonderful looking, but I decided to look the website up and apparently the quality seems to be VERY inconsistent with the shoes, and the customer service is dogshit. So I might as well get the strongest adhesive I can find and make some backup soles, and nails + screws, because I would like for these to last as long as possible because they were pretty expensive.
@@MiyukichanXarts if worst comes to worst, I will just replace the platforms with something more solid and screw them in/glue them on. They have very nice metal decorations on the bottom, but I can add metal to any other platforms, it’s fine. I could even add reinforcements to the existing ones by putting stuff inside them.

Hi, I was considering buying the demonia swing 105, do you know whether the model is comfy or not? If it isn't I might as well just switch to the shaker. I couldn't find proper reviews so I was wondering if you knew :)
So i assume theyll definately be more comfortable than the swing 815 (the ones i have) but im telling you in my opinion for everyday wear, the shaker is my absolute favourite and i recommend this platform to everyone❤️

Personally I started of with buffalo London's and then moved on to demonias and new rock shoes
Yess buffalos are also a nice start!
Do buffalos break easily bcs i read their trustpilot and everybody shat on them for the bottom of the shoe apparently cracks in half at around 6months of use?? I'd really want their sandals but now im hesitant bcs of those reviews... And then i also can't find any actual reviews on the sandals themselves 😅
@@apet6752 good question and I have to say no I had one pair for 4 years and is still going on and I have like every buffalo under the sun and what I have to say is the bottom stays in good shape BUT the bottom shrinks over time and the thing that brakes is the inside of the shoe from your foot sliding in it

@cluuuu860 i have the shaker 52's in the regular black (not shiny), they're really comfortable right away but i don't really wear them outside because they make me super tall and insecure hhaha. Idk if they smell bad, To me they just have the "new shoe smell" and honestly i can't really say when that goes away since i keep mine in their original box (but would definitely say they smell less now than when they were new) but yeah im probably not the best person to give an answer here haha!
Doc martens ok yeah 100% good for starters when I started I got some BUT WEAR THEM AROUND THE HOUSE SO YOU DONT HET BLISTERS it happens to my sister AND GUESS I have some heels from there like chunky chain platforms!!

How many inches of a platform shoe would you consider to be a discreet boost in height, as in the shoe is not too chunky but gives decent height
Id say probably no more than 3-4 cm but i think anything above will be quite visible 🌸

~Miyukichan~ I think so, there’s a store called “mayas shoes” or something like that. People have said the owner was rude and pushy and the heels came in bad quality

I was given a pair of shoes as a gift and they’re wonderful looking, but I decided to look the website up and apparently the quality seems to be VERY inconsistent with the shoes, and the customer service is dogshit. So I might as well get the strongest adhesive I can find and make some backup soles, and nails + screws, because I would like for these to last as long as possible because they were pretty expensive.
Yeepp its good to take precaution! screws are always a good idea with these foamy platforms!
@@MiyukichanXarts if worst comes to worst, I will just replace the platforms with something more solid and screw them in/glue them on. They have very nice metal decorations on the bottom, but I can add metal to any other platforms, it’s fine. I could even add reinforcements to the existing ones by putting stuff inside them.
