The Khitomer battlecruiser has become one of my favorite ST:O original ships. The Khitomer Alliance style in general I think is a great fusion of all three major powers
I think of Khitomer of being one of the worlds where a kinder culture could eventually arise amongst the Klingons. Qo'noS is dying and that puts a time limit in their martial spirit. In canon, "honor" has been reorientated towards less destructive ends, and even if the empire falls, one would hope they rise from the ashes as the Romulans did, but hopefully a bit less destructively!
I think the Khitomer Alliance is a brilliant expansion of the lore, and I'd love to see you revisit the Alliance and more particularly it's ships. The Khitomer class Battlecruiser itself, I thought I was gonna hate, but it's grown into one of my favourite ships in STO. The Temer class Raider, is a nice little ship, very tough, and ridiculously aggressive for it's size and is a worthy contender to Defiant classes and Birds of Prey. And the Jarok class Carrier, may quickly be becoming my favourite ship in game, it is a beast. Even the Fighter Squadrons, are quite cool looking once you zoom in on them, and even cooler when they are making your enemies disappear.
Khitomer is indeed a fascinating world, while its history and events are few in number it's effects and legacy are grand in scale. I enjoy all the development STO has given that planet.
I really like how the emblem combines all three factions into one symbol. Keeping up the wonderful work that has gone into making the Khitomer Alliance work and Galaxy come together.
Nice video, i really like the idea of the Alliance in STO. Btw. at the current time in STO the Alliance has four major factions, Federation, Klingons, Romulan Republic and the Dominion aswell as several minor onse like the Cardassians, Ferengi and some species from the Delta Quadrant. With a Federation/Klingon, a Klingon/Romulan and recently a Federation/Romulan Alliance ship class in the game i wonder if we will see i.e. a Alliance ship that involves i.e. Dominion design queues.
Just out of curiosity, what ever happened to the Organian peace treaty? I know it was put into place in the TOS episode Errand of Mercy and completely blocked the Federation and Klingons from direct combat, but it doesn't seem to have been mentioned since. The only other, quite old, reference I know of is in the novel 'Spock Must Die' where the Klingons use a quantum mirror to trap them on the home world. But nothing in main canon.
TOS was a very episodic TV series. Very little carried over from one episode to another. As a result, the Organian treaty was just forgotten. This especially since it effectively wrote out the Klingons as any kind of meaningful adversary. Of Course, the show runners could have used the Romulans as the shadowy villains, but that did not happen either.. even after all these decades.
I assume the Organians simply 'washed their hands' of all humanoid races and became xenophobes, not wanting to be the galaxy's policemen, and warning all other races to not contact them or approach their world for any reason. And, knowing what they were capable of, no one bothered them again. Then, I've always wondered what happened to the First Federation? Or the Metrons? Never hear about them either.
@@samallan6616 The "First Federation" was revealed in that episode to be a paper tiger, with its massive flagship _Fesaurius_ being almost completely automated and run by precisely one being. The Metrons, on the other hand, don't care what other species do to each other, as long as they leave Metron out of it. Even the Iconian War would only have disturbed them if it had come to their planet.
I've admittedly had some trouble keeping up with the novels over the years, but from what I've heard the Relaunch era novel timeline really did the galaxy dirty. The authors seemed to revel in their newfound liberation from the old "put your toys away" rule.
note klingon houses hav 1gen prev single name, where as a descendant dynasty would hav to hav a wider referencing name"house of mogh, son of mogh?"who's ur grand dad?"
It just occurred to me that the Khitomer symbol also resembles the Peace Sign ☮️. How fitting! A shame there isn’t any strong Romulan inspiration in that design, however…
Maybe modify the circle to be green and open at the top and have feathering throughout to be the raptor wings which can also double as the Federation olive branches. Incorporate the sword of Kahless symbol centered in the bottom half as the raised beak, body and trailing feet/tail of the raptor with a black body. In the background, contained within the two "wings" have the blue circle of the Federation with stars like a bird flying in the nights sky. To represent Khitomer have the red circle of the Klingons symbol be above the beak maybe 3/4th's of the away up. That way each member can claim to to be thematically the most important. The Romulan raptor ties it all together, the Federation takes the most space, the Klingons are the center of focus. Still...it's kinda amazing how well they did as is.
In the Kitomer Alliance emblem, you failed to note the Romulans are represented in the circle about the emblem representing the wings of their traditional Raptor's Wings.
I've considered trying out ST:O, but I'm not sure if I want to commit the time. What are some of the pros and cons of the game? Thank you in advance for any answers! Stay well out there everybody, and God be with you, friends! ✝️ :)
As it's free to play, the only real con is time investment, if you just want to enjoy the story, which is, in general, pretty well handled. There's more long-term cons, such as investment to reach the meta of the game, but that has little bearing on simply experiencing and enjoying the game.
For years I always assumed Klingon conquest was brutal and mongol like. But after watching the organian episode I now understand why the Klingons eventually became allies of the federation. Just follow the rules and the Klingons will respect the rules too. Interesting. So they’re just grumpy lol
i really really REALLY hate the khitomer alliance. of all the new lore that STO made this is by far the worst. it doesn't make sense, the klingons immediatly ally with the federation and become best buddies within a year after their war, the romulan republic magically becomes so powerful to overshadow the empire's forces and even do flamboyant shit like conquering an entire dyson sphere as a side conflict, and the federation becomes de facto the overlord of these two powers. this is somehow worse than the klingons invading the gorn hegemony for no apparent reason than rumors of potential spies within their ranks (thank you ds9 for bringing such an asinine mcguffin to the table)

They look ok, but they're not really any good though which is a shame. The sci carrier has some decent fighters though

And Khitomer's legacy extended into the 27th Century, with New Khitomer in the Gamma Quadrant being the site of the Signing of the Temporal Accords.
I like the guy at 2:00 in the background walking over the scenery. Real Klingon gangsta and trendsetter.
Khitomer is indeed a fascinating world, while its history and events are few in number it's effects and legacy are grand in scale. I enjoy all the development STO has given that planet.
Shitomer. I just made myself laugh with that. My God, I'm so alone.
I see you.
Khitomer, could you not be the epicenter of a disaster... *_FOR FIVE MINUTES!?_*
Khitomer: Bruh.
I really like how the emblem combines all three factions into one symbol. Keeping up the wonderful work that has gone into making the Khitomer Alliance work and Galaxy come together.
Diplomacy isn't "the inevitable end result of any conflict" if there is no one left to negotiate.
If words were water, the Humans would drown us all.

Huh. Now I want to know what a Klingon family getaway is like.
Picture Stolvakor
You'll probably get some romulan ale there of course Klingon blood wine 🍷
The building at Camp Khitomer is the same building used for the Command Center in Power Rangers

@@DocWolph they did reference it in _The Trouble With Tribbles_ at least
Well it got resolved once Khitomer Accords became a permanent solution.

This is the Star Wars equivalent of Tatooine, middle of nowhere but everything happens on it

Woah Caught this in the first 8 min... Nice.. Also I really love the combo ships they made for STO
Fascinating

0:16 Did the sign the accord at the Power Ranger Command center XD
Zordon was obviously the negotiator for them lol
Khitomer class is one hot lookin space boat.
Federal accords. The assignments are the United Nations and the Timelordin Dimensional Imperium. In 2010 to 2285.
Vini, vidi, vicci
It seemed in Star Trek 6 that Khitomer was a federations planet, or at least that's the impression I got from the film.
0:16 okay! whats the Command Center from Power Rangers doing here?
Star Trek: Confusing Naming Conventions
Let's not forget about the khitomer alliance carrier.
Of course that ship would come along some time later.
What about USS Khitomer NCC-13666 Nebula class from STBC?

Realising how ST6 completely overwrites ST5!
And apparently 2290 Khitomer had the Command Center there :P
Not to mention Zordon also has a command center there for Starfleet Power Rangers. Lol
Lol glad I'm not the only one who saw that building and immediately thought of the MMPR base.
@@rushthezeppelin I recognized when I saw the movie in the theater. I was thinking. That's the command center. Is Alpha in there. Lol
I just think the broken arrow emblem looks dope.
I love how the broken arrow really stands out among the other emblems.
Now I’m imagining Versailles as the capital of the EU….
Finally something worth watching...I miss cultural index and the planets series.....Online story is crap
🤔 It could be argued then that Khitomer is the most important planet in Federation/Klingon/Romulan history? 🤨
i asume there is no way to get the khitomer class in sto
wasn't the khitohmer alliance/accords created in star trek expanded universe to combat the Typhon pact?
+0:15 Zordon need to recruit some teens with "attitude"

In 2391 the KLF returned to attack the Klingon Empire.
The Romulan's planet being destroyed was karma. JS
Can you tell I really hate Romulans, yet?
Fan theory: Kitamer was originally the home base of a Power Rangers group and Zordon copied it on earth.

There is very little intelligent life on this planet as well. They're known as Woke and Leftists.

Ay. Ev. all alaiens ship in. Sto
Khitomer has never had a Starbucks but does contain many mcdonalds and subways....
Klingon's don't appreciate burnt raktajino.
Khitomer really should have these things as McDonalds nuggets and fries are simply unforgettable.
