I speak both Eng and Rus and so I always watch Eng interviews to admire every single time the way Brian expresses his mind. I mean he uses such beautiful expressions, he's truly a poet, e.g. when I watch other bands' interviews guys talk pretty simple Eng which is ok, but i haven't yet meet anyone who expresses thoughts so profoundly beautiful and poetic as Brian does.
Back when you're at the record store, you see a cd or vinyl with an interesting album cover, intriguing band name, no way to listen first, take a chance and HE SHOOTS HE SCORES! the 90s were so fucking awesome for discovering the most amazing bands no one ever heard of until all of a sudden you can say "oh yeah I bought their first album when no one knew who they were and now they went plaid!" You don't have that now and it sucks. There's nothing like rolling the dice on music and striking gold. You instantly become more connected to that music.
Man, I love the old Placebo interviews! Their anecdotes are incredibly funny. Fred Durst has always managed to be a complete asshole to basically anybody. He's the main reason why I've never listened to LB. I really miss Steve... Unfortunately it didn't work out anymore and he left the band.
He didnt left molko throw him out with help of manager,very strange grateful about help with his 1album and support.since that hewitt have started new life,it was painful this kind of attitude from molko and olsdal and they Made real good music with hewitt now there is abosolutely nothing

Steve Hewitt left Placebo due to a lot of difficulties the band were having on the Meds tour- a period which Brian Molko has sincd referred to as “traumatic” in several interviews, as well as having said that that tour made them feel as though Placebo were “more of a brand than a band”, and that they were much more distant from each other, barely interacting at all on that tour and not really working creatively with each other (if you watch the Making of Battle for the Sun documentary, they talk about this a little). That in itself isn’t a particularly Steve-related problem, but the more poignant issue is - As of the release of Meds, Brian and Stef, who have dealt with addiction, decided they were going to get sober and stay sober. They realized that their behaviours needed to change for them to grow as people. On the other hand, Steve was still drinking a significant amount, and that was impacting the functionality of their relationship as friends and bandmates. Due to those reasons, Brian and Stef decided that at the end of their 2007 tour, Steve would be booted from Placebo. I’m not entirely sure, but I think their manager told him rather than the band members themselves? If that’s the case that was probably… not the best move. From what I’ve gleaned, I don’t think their relationship has healed in the time since then. I do remember an interview from 2009 (this one, I believe th-cam.com/video/PCCRofjymrE/w-d-xo.html ) where Brian mentioned that he’s glad that they’ve moved on from Steve Hewitt and that Steve is probably more upset about it than he is. I do also remember reading some interview where I believe Stefan mentioned they had to settle it in court? Take that with a grain of salt, I haven’t been able to find the source since. I also do know that in certain placebo promotional photos, they’ve edited Steve out, and in some old photos Steve has posted to Facebook, he has cropped Brian and Stef out. Overall, it is sad, but I hope this information answers your question!
