Placebo is one of those weird greatest band of the post rock shitty 80's-era. They have this acid taste mixed with love and a sublime art of synts chords. No band can compare, in a row listening

I have no idea where they got all that German slang from, but I'm just laughing myself unconscious!
Vorsprung Durch Technik was a slogan for Audi cars, and the bottom one is from a song.
I just assumed (alles klar etc) was a league of gentlemen reference from Herr Lipp & his boy’s choir
“ superguy “ is from the line uttered by a German Lady ‘ Actress ‘ - her having freshly received a mechanical style shafting of epic proportions during a German Produced Porn movie which Nige & I had watched on VHS instead of hanging radiators at his neighbours’ house in 1992 😁

Battle for the Sun is the best Placebo album, that being said, the other albums are awesome. Thanks, 20+ years of enjoying your work. 'Commercial for Levi' will forever have a special place in my psyche.
This was incredible to watch. The creative process blending into the recording process... thank you for allowing us a peek into this fascinating bring-music-to-life universe. Brian is so wonderfully inspiring that it's hard to keep your eyes off him, really. Wish I could be a fly on the wall in the studio when he's unleashing his talent beasts and giving his all into that microphone. I could rant for a long time, but bottom line - I hope that one day I can tell you guys live how much I love your amazing art and how it's become part of my soul. Brian, please never stop creating, you've got that unique sparkle that has made me fall head over heels beyond reason. Thank you and hope you have an equally productive and lovely recording process in 2018 as you did for BFTS

I really loved seeing you guys play inside the studio! It looks like a lot of fun! This record is so beautiful and creative. I love how it is about the hope for a better future, despite the past, and trying to focus on more love and less hate, whatever that means to each of us. Every song is a genius masterpiece of breathtaking beauty. It captures the essence of an emotion in such exquisite detail it is astounding. It is an expression of the human condition that conveys a feeling of oneness with the human race that inspires us to follow our dreams and not feel so alienated with one another, in order for us to create a better future for us to live in together.

Not sure why they talk down on Meds, I think it's their strongest, most honest and emotional album to date, very refined too, as opposed to Battle For The Sun which sounds a too artificial and kind of forced. Actually Battle for the sun really sounds American, doesn't have that fine European sentiment.

Battle for the Sun mostly sounds kind of forced, it is the least sincere of their albums. And also really overproduced. It's like a person trying to hide a lot of pain behind a facade of competency and professionalism. But it has its moments.
