Honestly, It's been a bit since I've caught the Graham Norton show (not THAT long--I mean like a year; I live in the US so you've got to track it down a bit more), but unless it's changed RADICALLY in the past year...his show is just as entertaining, cheeky and loose as it was here, which is one of the things that made it stand out to me, again especially as an American. I've seen guests that I've recently seen on other shows promoting the same work, and you can sense a palpable level of relief and comfort when they're on this show after doing the others.
I know Brian is a lot more reclusive now and I adore him for that but I cannot help but revisit these interviews and remember how incredible he is/was on chat shows. He must be a hosts dream!
I love Molko as well, but I somehow doubt he was ever genuinely 'bisexual'--always seemed like Brett Anderson of Suede before him, he just toyed with that realm a bit to help complete the tapestry of his band's imagery, as well as (naturally) to get a rise out of more conservative members of the listening audience...he was only ever linked to women from the early days. Not that there's anything wrong with that, per se, unless you happen to take issue with what some people refer to as 'sexual tourism'...I personally could give a toss either way. But his laid back attitude about seemingly everything is certainly praise worthy
@@mywhychromosome Great comment. We kind of knew that from the beginning, a bit like Anne Heche with Ellen (I'm a les and was a teenager in the nineties). but it didn't really matter - we weren't so label-orientated back then.
@@katrinabee9846 Hey, thanks...yeah, I'm of a similar age, a little bit younger, as I was more or less in just the beginning stages of my teens as the 90s came to a close. With Heche, I feel like it was more a genuine confusion/exploration of what she wanted and who she was attracted to, and she ultimately landed on the side of more hetero, whereas people like Anderson and Molko where consciously, knowingly toying with the concept, like Bowie before them. On the one hand, I totally agree with the idea that people were less label-obsessed back then, at least verbally and in writing, although part of that I think is that certain terms hadn't entered the public consciousness yet. One thing I think is better now, though, is there's more room for people to fall 'in between', whereas back then you were either gay, straight, or bi, and if you're the last one, you'd better be bouncing back and forth alot, or you'll lose your 'card', lol. It is a shame now that people rush to categorize themselves--in some cases even diagnose themselves with things--rather than just feeling it out naturally as we once did. But I will say, for example, when I finally understood the term 'queer', I kind of went "Ah, that's it!"...because I've always dated women, been sexually attracted to women, but yet I can find male beauty entrancing and appealing, enjoy dressing up, wearing makeup etc, even fall 'in love' with men in a kind of non-physical way, and I never knew exactly where all that 'fit'. It doesn't NEED to fit anywhere, but being able to give it a name, after arriving at it naturally, did have some benefit...at least to me. You dig?
Mad that he's got the England accent and turned it into something unique and wonderful. He'd rock it at the care homes, they'd be all over him. Lets face it, everyone is all over Molko. What a diamond.
No way, Without You I'm Nothing is still their absolute masterpiece, Sleeping With Ghosts was decent enough but every album since then has been fairly average.
British TV is so fun! I remember watching The Young Ones and Benny Hill, Monty Python, but it was always late late night TV time. 😐 I also love Brian😊 still listening! I was hoping they would check back with Vicki to see how she was doing 😂.
Feel sorry for Kyle though. He's a great actor and a handsome one at that. But he doesn't stand a chance against the charisma and talent of a Rockstar like Brian Molko.
He is so gay in this interview. Not that there is anything wrong with that. He is very intelligent but just appears as a cliche. I love his music but his interview lacks the depth of his music.
This is a talk show. since when has the mood of a talk show ever been serious? He's literally just being himself. It's not for you to police how he acts and he doesn't owe you an in depth explanation of anything
Well this wasnt probably the place for intellext. Plus i like his sense of humour. There are plenty of good interviews with him that showcase his intellect.
Pretty sure its Brian being himself. Obviously he understands how national TV works but Graham eluded that during the test Brian was all in. Brian is very self critical but has moved past that. As far as I'm concerned this is him being whatever he wants to expose to the world at the time. Even if he's augmented what we see it's still very much him.
First Molko interview I've watched. I'm a little disappointed. As a frontman he has such presence and intrigue. Here he seems a little underwhelming and going through the motions expected of him. More reactive than inspirational. Maybe he's just shy and overawed by the occasion?
Why can't Television be as entertaining now? This was such a riot and the flirting was so much fun.

Brian is such an amazing ARTIST and intelligent person 🥂🎸

4:52 "... a beautiful piece of kitsch". Loved how casually he threw that pun in.
I hadn't seen this until today. Pure magic.
I love how laid back this guy is with his sexuality so much love for him 💕💕
He is Bisexual

His sexuality 🤔 hhhhhhh
Charismatic Brian....❤
no need to give a butterfly at everybody in the audience, Brian !
Just your voice is enough to make everybody excited and crazy ! :p
WHEN THE GIRL HAD THE VIBRATION THING ON AND HE WAS LIKE “Hi, how ya doing” LIKE HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING
8:42 Bryan flirting 😍 hahaha I love this man!! He's so charismatic!!
I love brian he is my spirit animal
Wish interviews were still so uninhibited!! Man I feel old now...
I remember staying up late watching this on tv as a kid... wow
You as a kid was unhinged like bro
Brian Molko, beautiful man.
So funny small talk, everybody just relaxing and enjoying their time 😁❤️
Favourite band ever :)
Molko is great
I just clicked to hear this guy's regular/talking voice. As weird as I thought it would be. Good.
Mad that he's got the England accent and turned it into something unique and wonderful. He'd rock it at the care homes, they'd be all over him. Lets face it, everyone is all over Molko. What a diamond.
I like his "you know" 😊
Molko is the most beautiful and the sexiest men in the world
What a good sport.
This is hilarious! Imagine this airing now?!
Ah i remember buying this picture on cd single... never knew about this tv interview before!
Omg Brian Molko love ❤️
Wonderful!
I love him so much hahaha I admire the lady though, I would've fainted 😂
WTF how was this possible on television lol
Dario Lotti how was what possible?
Miles Prower The vibrator and everything, the whole situation...
Miles Prower (By the way I think that this clip is amazing and I love Placebo, I was just wondering how they got to be able to do this on television)
in Europe you can do more stuff on the comparing to US (i mean, no idea where you're from, just saying), like swearing etc.
Dario Lotti that’s european television for you😅 way better than prude american tv
This felt like a fever dream
Damn he is adorable 💋❤️
Sleeping with ghosts is the best album
No way, Without You I'm Nothing is still their absolute masterpiece, Sleeping With Ghosts was decent enough but every album since then has been fairly average.
What about black market music?
Call me basic but I love the covers album
Sorry, but Without You I'm Nothing still their best album, is the best praised and appears on the best albums all time
@@charlyrockstar619 I live for the self titled album tho like fr
this was so weird but im glad i saw it wtf
Brian: “we should give these to everyone in the audience”
Me literally sitting at home “GIMMIE!”
@g0r3s1ut?! CAN U BLAME ME BABE?
Very pretty
Improbable ! Brian molko et Orson Hodge dans la même pièce 😱😱
British TV is so fun! I remember watching The Young Ones and Benny Hill, Monty Python, but it was always late late night TV time. 😐 I also love Brian😊 still listening! I was hoping they would check back with Vicki to see how she was doing 😂.
Brian is so cool. I love their music so much.
I think Graham is having a crush on Brian tbh
Totally 😅
who doesn't
@@ayvenmoon
I dunno.
@@ayvenmoon FRRR
Everyone has a crush on Brian
OMG, Brian is so cute
I love this so much :3
Those two were so flirting
If I had to guess who he is talking about sleeping with I would say it was David Bowie.
110%
Oh for sure who else
Everyone’s here for Brian then there’s me who’s here for Graham. 😅😅…….
i like them !
Kyle looks so uncomfortable throughout the interview, HAHA.
Feel sorry for Kyle though. He's a great actor and a handsome one at that. But he doesn't stand a chance against the charisma and talent of a Rockstar like Brian Molko.
haha ikr thats what i said
@@cruxivar6026 Wisdom is silent
Kyle sieht total cool aus 😊
gag at the buterfly moment
If Boy George had a kid…
Tuesday 9th June 2003
i was born on that day 😼
Very funny
I’m jealous of Vicky💀
does he still have the toilet seat
lmao
Someone needs to ask him.
Такая чистая, детская и светлая его непоторимая улыбка, ну зачем ее прятать за усами несуразными и не идущими ему 🙏🙏🙏
💞
I WANT TO KNOW WHAT ACTOR HE SHAGGED IM SO CURIOUS NOW
ME TOO!!
WHAT? JAMES DEAN WAS GAY???
Yes; but that story about him liking to be burned with cigarettes by his lovers is most likely bull shit.
i neeeeeeeed that toilet seat!!, well, not that one, because ewww, but another, maybe a blue one.
Looking back at this ,, the agenda becomes quite clear.
dubtown man what agenda is that?
Miles Graham fancies Brian , a chubby lol
The gay agenda?
Stop being unkind and I will do the same
He is so gay in this interview. Not that there is anything wrong with that. He is very intelligent but just appears as a cliche. I love his music but his interview lacks the depth of his music.
He is just being himself. People tend to be worried about coming across as pompous in interviews.

I mean it's the Graham Norton show not Newsnight 😆😆

I think that’s just what was expected on this show.
