I had the pleasure of attending this event, when i was 16. I saved all my money from working at baskin robbins to travel to memphis from california with my 2 friends. It changed me. It changed me forever....I was saved at the time but this event created a fire inside of me that 16 years later I still carry. I have fallen down along the way in those 16 years but I always have come back to the moment when myself and thousands of other youth were on our knees in a field crying out to the lord. WOW is all I can say..and better is one day in your court then a thousand elsewhere!

I was there in Memphis... drove all night from Texas with a few other folks for this. Was a tremendous experience! I still remember the call with Botswana, and the illustration that John Piper used comparing the two decades-long missionary ladies who died on a mountainside wreck, with someone who lives the "American dream" retires to a golf course in Florida until death --- and which of those is truly a tragedy. What an event! Need to do it again! America needs a Third Great Awakening!!!

I was at this with my worship team. We kicked off a six-month tour around the United States. We met at Lee Bible college the year before. And we toured different colleges and churches around the United States. But this event is what kicked everything off we needed to focus and prepare ourselves for spiritual warfare and going out there and spreading and evangelizing the word through music. This was an absolute life-changing event.
2020 and still this inspires me to this day! Jesus saves

I don’t see this kind of passion for the things of God this day and age amongst people like I used to see; myself included. How do we get back to being passionate about God?
I was there and man was it powerful. I brought them to our college and it impacted our entire secular campus. Christianity hasn't had even like this since and man I wish they would. My parents volunteered and it changed my dad too. After the event we all had bracelets and when we stopped to get gas I saw bracelets and it was so cool to unite and pray at the gas station...to just be so bold and come together. I couldn't believe it. We need this event again for this country.

I was a pretty new believer in Christ. (I recieved Christ July28th, 1998) when a sister nicknamed "princess oink oink", because she can EAT, gave me 2 cd's. One was of the band Passion. Thank you Lord for that gift of her friendship at that season in my life. Bless you Katherine, wherever you are. . . : )

I was actually at this event and let me tell you this video does it a lot of justice, but being there was a life changing event got me. Everything that has breath praise the lord!

Wow. I was there - I didn't know until now that there was a video. What a day that was. I'm being inspired to try something crazy at church - like those greeters on the road - and the scriptures along the road...maybe in time for Easter?
Such an amazing time in God’s Presence! Will cherish that time forever. Love listening to this over and over again. God always speaks to me through the worship and His Word being proclaimed, every singe time. I’ve watched it at least 20 times in the past 20 years. Wild to see all that Hod has done through these ministers of the gospel. Would love to hear testimonies of the students and where they are today. ❤️🙏🏻🥰😇

Dec 2023. my first ever cassette tape album in 2011 from Philippines 🎉🎉🎉
I was there as a volunteer leader with 15 students, and three of my college age children. There are few things that have been life changing for me - coming to faith in Jesus during the Jesus People Movement in 1970, finding my wife who loves Jesus with all of her heart and soul, and OneDay. This was life changing. I watched this again today, and remember the declaration so many of us made on that field. Those were real, as real as life itself. Some of us have had to go through difficulty, and loss, and sorrow, and maybe turning away for a while, but those declarations that we are the Lord's and we would serve him in whatever way he chooses are still real, and still alive in God's heart. He has not forgotten them, We got lost, took some wrong roads, fell down, maybe hard, but his hands are still there, reaching out to pull us back up, and he is still saying, "Your're back!! Now let's go, and I will fill the rest of your life with all that was in your heart on that field that day in May."

Now Passion Conferences are massive. Yet we as the church still have the same ways :(
What happens everyday in local churches is the real stuff. It's messy, it's painful, it's heart aching, it's challenging, it's gut wrenching, it's draining, and requires lots of sacrifices and commitment. It's to deal with people and real life and journey with them in their spiritual walk and that takes time. It's like a lifetime investment. Don't lose heart, keep sowing the seed and be faithful to your calling.
