I’m thankful for the preachers who loudly proclaim the word of God, because we need that. Preaching is necessarily forceful and loud by design. However, I too am thankful for the teachers as well, who calmly communicate with intention of providing understanding through apt well-curated speech. Sermons like this is why Voddie Baucham is one of my favorite preachers. He seems to have no fear calling out things even the Christian community is hesitant to at times.
That is because he was not raised "in church " He did not get condition to learn how to speak niceties in regards to sin. His experience is realty of the consequences of Wordlessly 🎉
Pay attention to what he preached. Be careful so that you do not start worshiping him and stop worshiping God. Love that he preaches Christ. Meaning, ultimately, our love is to and goes to Christ.

It's saying the words, but believes the world literally can't respond positively, and this is by design. But a true great commission call, the well meant offer, is sincere and real, and actually enables the hearer to respond, and with the Holy Spirits aid, even to change. That they don't is genuinely therfore to their credit, not by divine providence, and thus the world condemns itself by rejecting the gospel (once the great commission task is truly complete... which hasn't happened yet). So my original point still stands. Love isn't the problem. But the lack of Charity that highly sectarian Dogmatics produces does indeed present such a barrier, and it puts brakes on the love of God as presented by people who believe God doesn't genuinely salvifically love all mankind.

The entire Bible (Old testament and New Testament) foreshadows and proclaims who Jesus is and what He did for His elect only (John 5:39, Luke 24:44). Jesus is the Son of God (John 3:16), fully God and fully man (John 1:1 & 1:14) and second person in the Trinity (Matthew 3:16-17). The gospel is God’s testimony concerning Jesus as revealed in the Holy Scriptures by the Holy Spirit which proclaims how Jesus the Christ (John 1:41, Matthew 16:16) was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:23) and born under the law to redeem His elect who were under the law and save His elect from their sins (Matthew 1:21, Galatians 4:4). God’s elect /sheep are the people past, present and future from every tribe, tongue and nation God actively chose to redeem/ justify/save based on Christ. God’s elect/sheep are God’s chosen vessels of mercy that are Jews and Gentiles because of Christ. (John 10, Romans 9:23-26, Hosea 2:23) God is Holy (Isaiah 6:3). God’s law is holy and good (Romans 7:12). The law of God demands perfection in word, thought, and deed at all times (James 2:10). The law was given through Moses (John 1:17). The law condemned all mankind and brought knowledge of sin (Romans 3:19-20). All people are under sin and none are righteous (Romans 3:9-18). Sin entered the world through Adam and death through sin and death spread to all mankind because all sinned. (Romans 5:12-13). Jesus Christ is the Passover lamb without blemish (1 Peter 1:19) for His elect by God’s sovereign grace (1 Corinthians 5:7). Just as the Israelites were released from Egypt after the death of the firstborn (Exodus 11-13) - Jesus Christ the firstborn of all creation (Colossians 1:15) justified all His elect at the cross from the wrath of God(Romans 5:9-11). Jesus willingly went to the cross (Philippians 2:8) and offered one sacrifice for all time for His elect He sanctified (Hebrews 10:11-14) as their representative and High priest. Jesus was crucified for the elect’s sin and raised for their justification (Romans 4:25). It pleased God the Father to crush His only begotten Son( Isaiah 53:10) and God the Father accepted Jesus’ perfect sacrifice on behalf of His sheep( Acts 2:23) . Jesus paid His elect’s sin debt and there is now no condemnation for those who are married to Christ (Romans 7-8). By Christ’s knowledge He justified all His elect (Isaiah 53:11) and finished His mission (John 19:30). All of God’s sheep will believe God’s testimony concerning Christ because Jesus justified them by His perfect sacrifice on the cross. Not one sheep Jesus died for will perish. Jesus is the good shepherd. Faith(believing God’s testimony concerning Jesus) is the fruit of what Jesus accomplished for His sheep. God’s sheep are righteous before God by the imputed righteousness of Christ provided at the cross as prophesied in Psalm 32 and fulfilled in John 19. All Jesus died for are regenerated at God’s appointed time to believe God’s testimony concerning Christ on who Christ is and what He did at the cross( Acts 13:48).

No, it’s Christ alone!!! Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9, etc. After the person’s conversion, through studying the scriptures, he or she may have that mind set or not. I have always struggled with “God so loved the world that he gave his only son.” It’s the most popular verse and seemingly so confusing. I am so grateful that I have heard this tonight, because I have always worried I was misunderstanding and I have never been able to get clarity from anyone else.
Thank you for this sermon. And reminding me that I constantly need to examine my heart, to be sure that I'm not indulging in the sinful nature of the world. I certainly don't love the beast system, and I'm sure many of us don't, but there is still danger because we can succumb to our fleshly desires. Lord God Almighty, Help us not to worship idols. I’d say the Phrase, “Love is Love” means Accept all, but not if you don’t like it. Whereas, “God is Love” is the Truth the World needs. It means, Come onto Christ Jesus. He is the Truth.

it's because some churches only sold "fire insurance" but didn't mentor young Christians to follow Jesus' example when tempted in the desert; we need to read the Bible to the point where we know it like Denzel's character in the book of Eli movie; Psalm 119 speaks of it; maybe the pastors themselves weren't properly mentored; whatever the case, we need to fix that and set up discipleship classes to get the msg. to the world

In his video about love and marriage he points out that our version of love is a roman concept. Blew my mind. We were taught that love is a emotional feeling and when we stop feeling that emotion we believe we fell out of love. Love is not a feeling or emotion. It’s a dedication to another. My whole life I been chasing this emotion that I thought was love. That hasn’t worked out at all. Thank you for your message.

I want to overcome the chronic sadness misery my husband harbors, I want to just love Jesus and be ultimately happy, but my husband’s chronic resentment gets me down. I want to share joy with another person, sometimes I am not strong and want my husband to be happy instead of angry and withdrawn. I should be fulfilled with Jesus and not look to a human for happiness.
I’m sorry your partner seems to bring you down. Just know he may never come to Jesus. You don’t have to look for him to happiness but best believe we don’t have people in our lives to make us miserable, they should be uplifting, supportive, loving. Good luck.
This is a very tough situation to navigate. I'm so sorry you're going through this. It sounds like you could use some one-on-one time with a Christian counselor, and maybe one day your husband would agree to attend with you? Prayer is the most important tool in our lives to communicate our concerns to God, just have faith that He will administer the appropriate solution in His own time. Saddest of all, my lips do not pray as much or as often as they should. Pride,complaining and ungratefulness and prayerlessness are the main sins (or lack of use) of my mouth. Thank you for sharing. I was blessed enough to see this live and he didn’t disappoint. Voddies ability to work through a convicting sermon , connecting to the modern world and still using the Bible brilliantly and never wavering in that is a God given talent. He inspires me to dive deeper in the Word of God
I literally preached this same sermon last sabbath with an emphasis on the charge of the gospel in 2 Timothy 4. I wish the beliefs expressed in this message were more clear to some christian’s.
It is this world system that we are not to be in love with. In fact, if you get along with the world really well, if you were too acceptable in this world system, then there’s probably a problem.

The entire Bible (Old testament and New Testament) foreshadows and proclaims who Jesus is and what He did for His elect only (John 5:39, Luke 24:44).
Jesus is the Son of God (John 3:16), fully God and fully man (John 1:1 & 1:14) and second person in the Trinity (Matthew 3:16-17).
The gospel is God’s testimony concerning Jesus as revealed in the Holy Scriptures by the Holy Spirit which proclaims how Jesus the Christ (John 1:41, Matthew 16:16) was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:23) and born under the law to redeem His elect who were under the law and save His elect from their sins (Matthew 1:21, Galatians 4:4).
God’s elect /sheep are the people past, present and future from every tribe, tongue and nation God actively chose to redeem/ justify/save based on Christ. God chose in Christ before the foundation of the world was laid according to the good pleasure of His will for His glory (Revelations 5:9, Ephesians 1:4-5). God actively created and chose a people from every tribe, tongue and nation before they were born for salvation whom God has always loved because of Christ and only Christ (Romans 8). God’s elect are vessels of mercy prepared beforehand for glory to make known the riches of His glory (Romans 9). God’s elect/sheep are God’s chosen vessels of mercy that are Jews and Gentiles because of Christ. (John 10, Romans 9:23-26, Hosea 2:23)
God is Holy (Isaiah 6:3). God’s law is holy and good (Romans 7:12). The law of God demands perfection in word, thought, and deed at all times (James 2:10). The law was given through Moses (John 1:17). The law condemned all mankind and brought knowledge of sin (Romans 3:19-20). All people are under sin and none are righteous (Romans 3:9-18). Sin entered the world through Adam and death through sin and death spread to all mankind because all sinned. (Romans 5:12-13).
Jesus Christ is the Passover lamb without blemish (1 Peter 1:19) for His elect by God’s sovereign grace (1 Corinthians 5:7). Just as the Israelites were released from Egypt after the death of the firstborn (Exodus 11-13) - Jesus Christ the firstborn of all creation (Colossians 1:15) justified all His elect at the cross from the wrath of God(Romans 5:9-11). Jesus willingly went to the cross (Philippians 2:8) and offered one sacrifice for all time for His elect He sanctified (Hebrews 10:11-14) as their representative and High priest. Jesus was crucified for the elect’s sin and raised for their justification (Romans 4:25). It pleased God the Father to crush His only begotten Son( Isaiah 53:10) and God the Father accepted Jesus’ perfect sacrifice on behalf of His sheep( Acts 2:23) . Jesus paid His elect’s sin debt and there is now no condemnation for those who are married to Christ (Romans 7-8).
By Christ’s knowledge He justified all His elect (Isaiah 53:11) and finished His mission (John 19:30). All of God’s sheep will believe God’s testimony concerning Christ because Jesus justified them by His perfect sacrifice on the cross. Not one sheep Jesus died for will perish. Jesus is the good shepherd. Faith(believing God’s testimony concerning Jesus) is the fruit of what Jesus accomplished for His sheep. God’s sheep are righteous before God by the imputed righteousness of Christ provided at the cross as prophesied in Psalm 32 and fulfilled in John 19. All Jesus died for are regenerated at God’s appointed time to believe God’s testimony concerning Christ on who Christ is and what He did at the cross( Acts 13:48).

When you realise how dreadful the world opposed to God is, the beauty of the world that is aligned with God is amplified.
I have always struggled with “God so loved the world that he gave his only son.”
It’s the most popular verse and seemingly so confusing. I am so grateful that I have heard this tonight, because I have always worried I was misunderstanding and I have never been able to get clarity from anyone else.

Thank you for this sermon. And reminding me that I constantly need to examine my heart, to be sure that I'm not indulging in the sinful nature of the world. I certainly don't love the beast system, and I'm sure many of us don't, but there is still danger because we can succumb to our fleshly desires.

I’d say the Phrase, “Love is Love” means Accept all, but not if you don’t like it.

Absolutely unfortunately so many believers have little understanding of what sound teaching is
it's because some churches only sold "fire insurance" but didn't mentor young Christians to follow Jesus' example when tempted in the desert; we need to read the Bible to the point where we know it like Denzel's character in the book of Eli movie; Psalm 119 speaks of it; maybe the pastors themselves weren't properly mentored; whatever the case, we need to fix that and set up discipleship classes to get the msg. to the world

This message may have just saved my life. Knew something was wrong but haven’t been acting out sinfully. Now I know it doesn’t matter if the love is inordinate or out of bounds. That’s why the heart change is so so much more important than the outward works. We can be fooled by our “works.”

This was never confusing to me. Complete understanding of these words was like the hallmark of a church that grew up in. God is love, so we love everyone. But we can not LOVE things rooted in the flesh, which is what the world produces!

In his video about love and marriage he points out that our version of love is a roman concept. Blew my mind. We were taught that love is a emotional feeling and when we stop feeling that emotion we believe we fell out of love. Love is not a feeling or emotion. It’s a dedication to another. My whole life I been chasing this emotion that I thought was love. That hasn’t worked out at all. Thank you for your message.

I want to overcome the chronic sadness misery my husband harbors, I want to just love Jesus and be ultimately happy, but my husband’s chronic resentment gets me down. I want to share joy with another person, sometimes I am not strong and want my husband to be happy instead of angry and withdrawn. I should be fulfilled with Jesus and not look to a human for happiness.

This is a very tough situation to navigate. I'm so sorry you're going through this. It sounds like you could use some one-on-one time with a Christian counselor, and maybe one day your husband would agree to attend with you? Prayer is the most important tool in our lives to communicate our concerns to God, just have faith that He will administer the appropriate solution in His own time.

I was grateful for the conviction I felt when Dr. Vodie Bauchom began to describe how our hearts can be full of pride, that third love. I can relate. I don't love my voice but I love hearing myself and hear all my knowledge flow out. And it is a turn off to people.And with those same lips I complain and whine and drive ppl away. Saddest of all, my lips do not pray as much or as often as they should. Pride,complaining and ungratefulness and prayerlessness are the main sins (or lack of use) of my mouth. Thank you for sharing. You have certainly brought attention to this by your confession. I too am convicticted by my pride...the worst of these sins.I pray our confession glorifies God by the word of our confession/testimony. May the light drive out the darkness. IJN, Amen.

What a teacher! This is the kind of loving, informed, and unflinching style to preaching the Gospel that means so very much to me. I have a very, very small pool of heroes. And the good Dr. Baucham is one of them.

There’s not to many Pastors that have touched my life but Voddie is certainly one of them.
I literally preached this same sermon last sabbath with an emphasis on the charge of the gospel in 2 Timothy 4. I wish the beliefs expressed in this message were more clear to some christian’s.

It is this world system that we are not to be in love with. In fact, if you get along with the world really well, if you were too acceptable in this world system, then there’s probably a problem.
