This is - By Far - One of the greatest Word’s preached that I've heard in my three years of being a born-again disciple and Lover of Jesus Christ - Glory be to God for this Word and its surgical piecing of my most inner being. I am one of the generation brought into salvation through a self-centred gospel interpretation that Ive been working so hard on to rid myself of as a young apprentice and this Word has given me Life and Truth with understanding Holiness as enjoyment of his Glory - So i remove myself completely from this day forth to magnify him in his majesty because of what he afforded me through his son whom he Loved.
I'm so awe-struck by this simple but complex switch in thought. I now know what it means when we say “None of me, but all of Him.”
Thank you, Teacher 🙏🏽 God Bless You.

My youth group traveled from Kansas City for this. I still think about how it impacted my life today. I remember the torrential storm the night before that brought strangers together and created fellowship, paved the way for an amazing experience together. Wish my kids could be a part of this!

One of THE most important sermons ever preached. A beacon for generations to come.

Came here from voice of the martyrs youtube channel, a man named Richard who served overseas in China in the missions field was inspired by this as a sophmore in college and was hearing all they endured in their ministry, what a way God used this sermon in their lives

since when did the movement of Christ lose its authenticity, the church shouldnt be this billboard of propaganda.....A list of should and should nots but rather be a living breathing art piece where people look at us and say hey i want what they've got.....this was jesus' mission of authentic love (Jon Jogerson)......John Piper defines this authenticity

I REALLY DON'T LIKE THAT PIPER KEEPS USING THE WORD PASSIONATE AS THAT IMPLIES EMOTIONS AND ANYTHING THAT IS EMOTIONAL FALLS HARD, THAT IS A BETA TERM, WE ARE SUPPOSED TO LOVE GOD AND WHAT'S RIGHT BUT NOT BE "PASSIONATE", HE SOUNDS LIKE A WOMAN WHEN HE SAYS THAT, IF YOU'RE GOING TO CHANGE ANY WORD, CHANGE THAT GAY WORD PASSIONATE

@mattlove9066 To have passion for the lord is to have strong belief in or feelings towards him. If you don’t have feelings of love towards God or belief in him, then you are missing the whole point of your life. It’s not gay to love God, is it? If you don’t have a burning passion or longing in your heart for God, then I’m sorry but you’re not saved. Without that passion for belief in Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection, how can you claim to have faith in God at all? Our purpose in life is to glorify God and to enjoy him forever. How can you do either of those things without having a passion, a desire, or a motivation to do so? I hope that God changes your heart so that you really understand the true purpose of what you were created for. It’s anything but gay to have a desire to worship and exalt God’s holiness above anything else in our lives. Would you call it gay if I had a passion to play a sport at a pro level and so I worked for it every day, because of that desire and passion? No, that would just be dedication because of that passion, passion brings motivation. In the same way you should be passionate or dedicated to work for God in your everyday life to show his glory and not your own. I’ll pray for you.
