Pretty sure the optimal video length for TH-cam monetization is 10 minutes.

I have been playing SoT almost since launch. This happens atleast once a year. Rare goes silent, content goes dry, and then it picks back up. It’s almost cyclical. I wouldn’t worry about it too much yet. If season 10 has nothing big, *then* you start worrying.

The mystery is such a massive waste of time. The community deserves real content.
I bet they're doing something massive for season ten, just Like the lack of updates for a pirates life.
The only thing I like about the mystery is the rewards in game. I want that shiny gold hoarder skull to be shown on my ship. I don’t really care for the real one awarded to the person who completes the entire mystery first but still nice to have some rewards

Season 9 was originally meant to be guilds but instead we got what we got I’m betting season 10 will be the introduction to guilds such as the orb teasers had teased last Christmas. This is a whole new mechanic so that’s why I’m betting it was delayed from season 9 to season 10 and further delayed another 4 weeks same thing had also happened with captaincy in season 7 although they had announced it at the showcase which is why we knew about it. I highly doubt its a pirates life 2 because most of the assets from the first are still reusable so they wouldn’t have to design it and by now it would or should be nearing its completion. I also doubt it’s just tall tales as we have adventures to progress the story and last time they did a big update with tall tales such as the first anniversary there was severe burnout and they would never do something that large again to avoid the burn out. Which logically leave guilds

I'm an insider and season 10 is going to be the sex update. They won't fix hitreg but they will add sex to sea of thieves

Honestly i just wish they would add a reward for levels post 100 on the plunder pass, it doesnt even need to be much like 1000 gold, 5 doubloons literally anything. Would just make it feel better when things are extended and feel better when its completed by most people in like 2-4 play sessions.

I noticed that in the battle pass the season end switched from 5 to 8 weeks, thought it might of been a bug but nope.

For many it's probably been tough waiting for content just to be delayed. Only got the game a couple weeks ago to play with some friends. Competition's rough on the seas, will have plenty of time to practice PvP before the next season it seems haha.
Rare tends to do this quite a lot like before pirates life came out, everything went silent, game became boring, then boom pirates life

I feel season 9 improved existing elements of the game instead of adding to it. It is more of a huge update of season 8 rather than a distinct new season.

I think it was intentional because the first time season 7 was delayed by over a month Rare was silent about it as well.
interesting, i don’t remember that. i remember reading about a delay in season 7 but i don’t remember one that went quiet
@@wornoutsneaker I don’t recall Rare making a statement when it was delayed from mid June to July 21st or something.
Sea of thieves viewership has gone down to a point where theres times in a day where there is not a single 100+ viewer streamer playing SoT. There is literally no up-to-date content atm while in season 8 for comparison everyone and their mothers were on the HG farm until the very last hour of season 8 (and beyond ofc). They really missed out on just releasing the other grades for the CoF commendation and every 4 weeks or so to reignite the content over and over again. I cant imagine it being hard to move the CoF to a different worldevent and enable grade II of the commendation and the rewards for it. But they didnt do it and now the game is abandoned.

it’s been huge speculation from everyone that guilds or pirate’s life is coming sometime soon. just stating already-said facts
Also fun fact, if something is made public knowledge then it's open for discussion because it doesn't violate an NDA as it wasn't released under contract. :)
And if you didn't sign an NDA hypothetically and don't have insiders....then everything is free game.
So if you found out about a fix that would ruin SOT and made content on it, (from public knowledge) you could do so and fight them over it if they tried to strike a video.

@@wornoutsneaker that's been the exact opposite of my experience. The game seems more alive than at least the past year. Fofs are almost always contested by multiple ships.

Bruh I just got this game I love it but the community seem like a bunch cry babies. I’ve seen so many “this is why this thing or that thing sucks” it just makes me laugh. Just seems like sweats who basically beat the game and can’t think of anything else to do.
People feel entitled to huge updates every month I guess. Kind of sad

true. there's so much to do in this game. commendations will take you a while, especially any of the ones that require other players like glitterbeard, the thrones, and alliance based achievements
This isn’t to say I don’t like the community. I’ve just been hit with a lot of those types of videos, could be TH-cam feeding them to me. For the most part this has been one of the most welcoming communities I’ve seen. People seem willing to help new players. My second session someone stopped to tell me not to anchor my boat at islands and gave a few other good tips. I came from Rust which is kind of the same choose your own adventure gameplay so that’s what I’m kinda of comparing it to.
