Yes the diving to world events and voyages is a massive help. You still have to sail around to sell the loot and complete the voyages but diving to the start of it isn't that bad
They also put your next voyage nearby. You sail way less.
I'm glad, but I did sorta like the sailing aspect. It put a bit of calm through the action
I don't know I just feel it takes away from the magic of sea of Thieves
@@ronjhernandez123 Sure, the sailing was one of the games greatest assets and worst features. Therefore I love and hate the diving
i am a person who typically runs as i have tried to get better at pvp but i have seen few results. i honestly think some of my best stories are from running. i got chased by a brig while solo slooping the other day and i eventually ran far enough (in the devil’s roar) that i hopped off on my rowboat hid behind a rock with my skull and towed to morrows. it was fun and makes for a good little story
that remind me of my experience, where I get chased by not just an brig, but an gally at the same time, as an solo player.. and only reason they were able to sink me after like an hour of sailing around, was because I stopped cause I got an shrouded ghost spawn on me.. at that time I did not care what so ever about the FoF loot I had on my ship.. I just wanted to kill that shark.. but ofc.. the gally and brig couldn't let me kill the shark, cause majority of players in this game just want the world to burn and want to ruin everyone else experience.
Like I told them straight out.. ''take my loot I don't care about it, I just want to kill this shrouded ghost.''

I've used the diving mechanic to escape from ships. Me and my duo both agreed that the diving mechanic is not broken. We had to gain Roughly 2-4 tiles distance before we could dive and we had to make sure we were in open waters before it would even allow us, giving plenty of time for our chasers to catch up. Only reason they didnt is that they lost interest.
agreed, it really isn't. we were in a galleon aand had to face the wind full sail to get enough distance fora good 5 min. we used it to escape pvp as well but we only did it cause we didnt want to fight and we had nothing to lose and also there was basically nothing to gain
and you can’t dive if you have ur treasure, unless you wanna lose it. which is basically sinking
I like this update but I also miss the last season / previous gameplay 🤔
Also players are clearly more aggressive now, don't know why
It was needed yes, but with a not laggy and buggy server performance it would be even better
true, this might be one of the buggiest season releases yet. hoping they fix that soon

Hi, could you help me, whenever I play Sea of Thieves after a while, when I'm already in the open world, my game crashes and says I have to update the video driver, but the problem is that there isn't even an update for it. do, I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it still says that I have to update the video drivers and after a while my computer screen starts blinking

Queuing the "skull of fortune" voyage is faster then the gold hoarders 2 chest dig mission. Its only 1 dig.

Nothing like being at an island doing a quest to have some other sweaty player surface and immediately sink yours ship. The game is extra frustrating in that regard

the Dive is an good thing.. but this game is still way too empty and void of players.. which I think is even more right now, seeing as everyone just dive as soon as they join an server.. making that server have less players on it.. the amount of time I gotten the message for server merching is insane.. I feel like I gotten that more then what I got it in season 10 and earlier.
because i’ve been diving with reaper 5, almost all servers i dive to has emissaries with loot so they can’t dive to run. so personally i don’t notice the dead servers often now but we all have our own experiences
All i need tk enjoy this game again is a fov slider to 130 and an option to use the old hitmarkers and the swap delay back down to 1 second because 1.5 feels so slow and clunky
You are the single most dedicated red hitmarker hater. Istg every time I see you it's about the damn hitmarker.
i don't care about it being red, it is that they also changed the design and it now looks like a copy from overwatch and doesn't fit the game at all
This game will never be a competitive shooter. You commenting everywhere won't change that.
Honestly, there are way better competitive games out there. I'm not sure why you want this game to become something it isn't when you can just go and play an objectively better competitive shooter.

This update ended a lot of gameplay… i get server merged every time a world event ends because everyone is diving away to other servers after turning in 1 events worth of loot. Not many people stacking anymore.. guilds are being forgotten because there are 500 levels for each company now. Athena still lvls up in slivers as if you’re in a solo guild while expecting us to get 500 lvls in it? Will Rare ever just let me complete something without pushing the end goal so far away that i’ll likely never complete it? I’m so glad this is the last QOL update but I genuinely dread their announcements on changes now… trying to enjoy what’s left of the game while I still can. As an alpha tester for SoT, this is not the game they sold us on anymore. The casual community is ruining it along with pvp scared insiders
The increased levels aren't a goal thing
It's more of a thing you slowly work towards as you play normally rather than being max all the time

true, but you could have used that time to finish your world event/voyage. in the time that you took to sail there, depending on the world event, you could already be heading back to sell if you already dived

Except, from everything I've seen, it's not a good update. The loot is trash, from people doing skull forts to get a whole whopping 8 items, to voyages being turned into, quite frankly, pointless chores. Yeah, before you had the MAJOR EFFORT of sailing somewhere, but at least you knew the loot you were gonna get when you got there would be worth your time. Now you dive to an event hoping to get some good loot and all you get is a lamentable amount of chests or crates. "Oh, but now the g r i n d is easier" bruh I'm not in the game to grind, more efficient isn't always more fun.
Because you doing these events as voyages which is only looking for specific items which is not much. Do as he said earlier in the vid and dive to a simple small island treasure hunt to finish the voyage than sail to an event. Unless you want diving to a world event to give the usual loot instead of the voyage loot than gotta take that up with rare.
@@jrgcgamingchannel2984 But I'm not even talking about these events, I'm talking about normal voyages. For instance, something that has literally stopped me playing: cargo runs. Before, it used to be 8 crates, now it's 4, which makes it very much not worth it.

@@jrgcgamingchannel2984 Hope so too, or that they backpedal on it if it was an intended change, because the fun of the game imo is stocking up your ship, not diving, grabbing loot, selling and then diving again. And sure, maybe some ppl will like it more, but at least let us carry on the old fashioned way.

Stuff like saying fast travel means more loot on ships shows no thought whatsoever. Saving four minutes of travel time isn't going to bring new players that makes no sense. There are no 30-minute session players. Those players play angry birds not SoT. None of it is real, none of these issues matter. Not a real SoT player. @@Sabastian719
