And I really wanted to get a MegaGargomon form for my starter. When I saw my ABI was too low, and I didn't know how to raise it, this came up, and your explanation was so straightforward. Thanks for this video!
I am glad that it could help you enjoy these games. It isn't something that is really explained, but just playing the game you gain some. I know I only had 3 megas total when I first beat Cyber Sleuth.
I really like this system I just wished it was a little more forgiving initially when I played it on the PS4, I remember thinking if there were an easier way to get ABI I would re-play these games a lot more often. Anyway, this guide will definitely be helpful for the future so thanks its rather efficient. First time I played this game was on the PS4 but now I have it for Switch and I'm looking forward to experiencing the changes the complete addition provides, and finally being able to get Black Wargreymon (my favorite digimon!) is something I'm really looking forward to as well. Plus, being able to farm w/ the switch in sleep mode should make the second playthrough a little less grindy :D.
This game can be quite cruel in the beginning on hard mode. Making it tough to even really get started and then have to grind a lot in the first few chapters. Once you get your experience increases going gaining ABI usually isn't too much of a problem. There is no difference to HM, but CS has some added Digimon to it in the complete edition. I hear many people use that trick on the Switch, so seems to work well.
After watching this tutorial, I understand this only works for late game content... But how about new player? Should we just stick to one line evolution until it Mega and pushing for late game content?
I mean it is certainly slower at early levels, but the same principles apply. Even if you max out levels each time you won't reach Mega on your first time up with a Digimon. If you want to get to Mega faster just give your Digimon all of the levels you can fairly easily get for that point and then Digivolve as soon as possible. After the same amount of XP at Ultimate de-digivolve and you'll have the ABI you need to get most basic Megas, but not all. Sticking to the same line or not doesn't matter for ABI but you will gain more moves if you bounce around.
@@Rordrik I just realized digimon evolution choice affect the stat growth smh. I guess the basic digimon such as agumon, patamon, renamon etc etc proper evolution lines are easiest way to reach mega as they didn't need huge requirements and stats. Thanks anyway!
That is slightly misleading. Training in the gym will raise your stats (like HP, Int, and Def) based on the personality of your leader and each Digimon, but does not actually raise the ABI stat itself.
Me too, and I am being rolled by the boss in the financial server because I am playing hard, and I have not trained a lot, mostly just digivolves and moves rather than ABI and stats.
Here is the link to find it on Steam store.steampowered.com/app/1042550/Digimon_Story_Cyber_Sleuth_Complete_Edition/ unless for some reason it is not allowed in your country? For PC I'm not sure of any other place to get it.
Hello! I started game and now im at chapter 6, I was a very big fan of Digimon World 2. Comparing two games, this game has faster leveling so we do not experience rookie champion even sometimes ultimate form a lot. Is there an advantage of keeping the digimon low form? ultimate instead of mega maybe? and other question, are you playing on hard? Thanks! Nice content!
I love Digimon World 2, especially when played with emulator so you can speed up the slow battles and load times, plus save states to stop Return Bugs ruining a 15 floor run. I even streamed a Rookie only challenge where I beat DW2. I have beaten these games many times on normal and on hard mode. Higher stages have purely higher stats. The only way I could see for combat effectiveness to stay in a lower form is if you find a signature skill you really like or you want to learn all of their techniques. Rookies learn all their skill by level 12, Champions by level 25, Ultimates by 45, and Megas/Ultras by 80.
@@Rordrik thanks 😊 you know what even if they do remake of DW2, like just graphics and sound are better, suitable for pc (just like crash bandicoot trilogy) I would play it more than 250 hours!
@@pixelburak I know I certainly max out the clock on most playthroughs. The cry for a remake is out there, but in Digimon Con they said it was unlikely since they didn't think it would sell.
Hey man! Im on Chapter 13. Yesterday i spend the whole say making my 3 platinumnumemon. I can level up my digimon really fast. I evolved my team to their megas, Titamon, Valkyrimon, MarineAngemon (support) and Dorugoramon. They dont do damage!!!!! Is there a restriccion in game or something for compensate for over leveling. They are mega at level 73 and is teddious to fight a ciclomon. Just recommend me some digimon so I can finish the game. I really want to know how the story ends
If you are having trouble I assume you are on hard mode then. Those are certainly not the strongest Digimon if you are looking to deal damage. You can always train up ATK or INT in the farm, but there are some stronger megas I could recommend for you too. Late game Digimon have some really high defenses so anyone with a penetrating attack will help you a lot. Vaccine types - WarGreymon, Ouryumon, Slayerdramon Data Types - Rosemon BM, Gryphonmon Virus Types - Lilithmon, Belphemon, BlackWarGreymon, TyrantKabuterimon
Many times that will happen, especially if using Builders and Searchers as leaders to give a bunch of different stats. If you have stats you want to get rid of use a Restraint Chip on that Digimon. C ranks remove 1 point, B rank removes 10, and A removes all of that stat. You can find them dropped by enemies or purchase them at the kiosk in the EDEN Entrance.
I am not sure what exactly you're asking about. Getting to Akihabara is an area in the real world so you usually won't get there from the Digi Lab. If you're looking to make Yen then Billionaire USBs, GoldNumemon, and PrinceMamemon are your best bets.
Lucemon isn't too hard just takes some time. The different stats needed for each form just take a few Restraint Chips and some training. Or some stat boosting items like Power Pines if you have enough to speed it up.
And I really wanted to get a MegaGargomon form for my starter. When I saw my ABI was too low, and I didn't know how to raise it, this came up, and your explanation was so straightforward. Thanks for this video!

It’s good to cover, the game doesn’t always fully explain it
The game explains a lot, unlike really early Digimon games. This is about as complex as it gets.
loving digital Rordrik!! xD great vid!👍
Thank you. Now you know everything you need to know to play a game you'll probably never actually play. Lol

@taiwanisacountry Yeah hard mode doesn't mess around. ABI on its own won't help much until aiming for mega and maxing out stat training.
How do I buy this game, Cant seem to buy it Bandai Namco's OG website and it isnt on Steam too. Help , any other websites to buy this game from ?

Yes you will find them in chests or it can be purchased in the post game for a whopping 1,000,000 Yen.
