I curse the day when television networks started shrinking and dimming the end credits of shows, in order to promo something else. It’s not fair for the people who’s names are in those credits that worked so hard. And it ruins it for those of us who wanted to see and hear the credit roll. Stupid TV stations. THANK YOU for putting the show theme over the end for us!
I remember the trench hand episode very clearly, and I don’t ever remember RICHARD coughing into his hand saying that that’s what you called trench hand! Never.
Patti Deutsch is erratic at times, I sometimes think that she cares more about being quirky than actually matching the contestants, but on the head-to-head questions, she's usually spot on. Nice job!
Yes, this is Patti's first successful H/H match to date. She had been chosen once before, but didn't match. See my "H/H match update" post today for extensive stats on all the celebs who have so far achieved a successful head-to-head match.
John Lang I think if she had said hitting ON the bride, the judge might have realized that was what she meant. At least that’s what I thought she meant.
PATTY always tries to say something off the wall! And she always tries not to match the contestant! She knows better she just thinks she’s being funny when she’s not
Lannerman-Sover, round 1, question A: "Not only tiny, but immature: STICKING HIS TONGUE OUT at her." (Bzzt!) Round 2, question B: "What'll you give me for THEIR MOTHERS' MIXING BOWLS?" (Bzzt!) Question A: (just holding up the card, probably) DROPPED DEAD Super Match, part 1: (if asked before Patti) HIGHWAY (if asked after Patti) SCOUT Part 2: CHICKEN Lannerman-Brady, round 1, question B: "Same idea, different carnal appetite: I said a PILLOW." (Bzzt!) Question A: "It's rough being a black panther in that jungle; the new UNDERTAKER's always after your hide." (Bzzt!)
Had forgoitten about the infamous "trench hand" episode...and love how Patti's sign was reminding Donald (her husband) to burp the baby!
It might be the episode coming up after this but there’s another episode where she jokingly reverses it and writes for ‘Max’ to burp ‘Donald’
Yea. So cute. Unless she was being silly and telling Max to burp
'Flashing' was mine too -- I was surprised no one but the last two said it!

Patty’s hair is always stunning. I miss her so much.
Gotta love the Director getting a shot of Joan Collins smoking.
She didn't seem to have that much respect for Gene--was a bit aloof when he tried to help her with the Tarzan question.
God, I love Scoey! He is so funny.
He has a thing for roasting contestants when they give rotten answers.
I glad this week is on TH-cam in honor of Dame Joan Collins is part of American Horror Story on FX!
Weird to see her smoking at 9:53, although many MG celebs have been seen smoking on camera.
Eva’s round 2 question was a difficult one.
Bucket 🪣 was my answer
Only Joan Collins lives! All the other celebs on this show have passed. Joan is 89!
All that burst of laughter and applause at the beginning is recorded. The real audience applauded soon after.
Scoey is smart, sexy, and funny -- love his presence! Does he ever get asked to match a contestant? If not , why not?
I love this show. Becky seemed a bit of an airhead.
I watch so much match game episodes that every night I _______. In my sleep.😉👍💞🤗👋.vee J.
12:48 A very rare Head to Head match!
This is not the game for non-native English speakers, no matter how fluent.
I agree, unless their proficiency includes colloquialisms. American colloquialisms... even English (UK) speakers might flounder on this show.
Gene was by far the oldest here. He was 58 in 1975! He died in 1999. If Gene was alive today he’d be 105!
I remember the trench hand episode very clearly, and I don’t ever remember RICHARD coughing into his hand saying that that’s what you called trench hand! Never.
Thanks so much!!
MAYBE Richard would've said 'trench coat' if you were to start with him first.
Yea. Then he would've never made the joke!
You could tell PATTY did not want to hug the Contestant, she stuck her arm out as far as she could get it to give her a wet fish handshake
Patty's answers were often upbeat but she did Becky good. RIP Patty and all.
Trench Hand Episode: goo.gl/nd3kL9
Panelists:
1. Scoey Mitchell
2. Brett Somers
3. Charles Nelson Reilly
4. Joan Collins
5. Richard Dawson
6. Patti Deutsch
Patti Deutsch is erratic at times, I sometimes think that she cares more about being quirky than actually matching the contestants, but on the head-to-head questions, she's usually spot on. Nice job!
nice job faking it Patty!! she is fourth on my favorite star list now : )
Have a crush on her myself... very sly wit and a sweetheart, too.
@@cowabungadoug She's really witty on the show. Offbeat, but witty.
Patty is my number 1 in my book!!
Ugh
Me: Coconuts over their heads!
Thanks :)
Trench hand is an obsolete term for frostbite of the hand.
1975 was 47 years ago!
Was this the only time Patti correctly completed the Super Match?
Yes, this is Patti's first successful H/H match to date. She had been chosen once before, but didn't match. See my "H/H match update" post today for extensive stats on all the celebs who have so far achieved a successful head-to-head match.
Becky looks great, but seems a little dim, if you know what I mean.
Love Joan Collins
That was the easiest $5,000 dollar question, that I’ve heard so far on this show… what other pox are there?
Small Pox
Small
Scoey was (in 1970's slang) a total fox!
Wouldn't "Winking" and "Making a pass" be considered the same as "Hitting at the bride"
John Lang I think if she had said hitting ON the bride, the judge might have realized that was what she meant. At least that’s what I thought she meant.
I thought she meant "hitting" as with their hands...
Not really. It would be more like hitting on the bride. Hitting at the bride is more of a violent gesture.
Hitting on… but not hitting at she meant taking a swing at the bride -
star studded!!!
🤩
The question about the mechanic was a repeat
Yes
PATTY always tries to say something off the wall! And she always tries not to match the contestant! She knows better she just thinks she’s being funny when she’s not
Scouy died this year.
Chicken
Doug died July 2021
Lannerman-Sover, round 1, question A: "Not only tiny, but immature: STICKING HIS TONGUE OUT at her." (Bzzt!)
Round 2, question B: "What'll you give me for THEIR MOTHERS' MIXING BOWLS?" (Bzzt!)
Question A: (just holding up the card, probably) DROPPED DEAD
Super Match, part 1: (if asked before Patti) HIGHWAY
(if asked after Patti) SCOUT
Part 2: CHICKEN
Lannerman-Brady, round 1, question B: "Same idea, different carnal appetite: I said a PILLOW." (Bzzt!)
Question A: "It's rough being a black panther in that jungle; the new UNDERTAKER's always after your hide." (Bzzt!)
Brett Somers sounds like a cat in heat
Joan's wig looks like poor quality.
@pencils 812--that's her real hair.😂😂
It's like the 4th(?) time they had that mechanic under the car question.
I know, right? And the last show they had another King Kong one. The writers weren't exactly original.
Farting
Becky still hot, Scoey still hasnt said anything funny.
They get too wild Rayburn should hand out nicorette gum...
Has anyone seen the episode that Betty is talking about at the end of the video at 2:50?
th-cam.com/video/bEZkCnTKGW4/w-d-xo.html
There will never be a game show as great as Match Game was. But Scoey is really not a nice guy in this one.
He seemed bored and took it out on the contestants.
I don't think he was a nice guy in general.
Richard Dawson thinks he’s such a smart ass. Love Gene Rayburn ❤️
How old is Brett in 1975 she looks beautiful
Scoey could make rude comments at times.
Debora Gustin Its his deadpan humor. Funny.
Scoey’s funny.
Most of the people on the panel could make rude comments at times, but it was all in good fun.
He was frequently rude, no humor about it. He has made some really cutting remarks when his mike was open but he was off-camera.
Like Brett? At least Scoey was funny just very dry
Brett was by far the most annoying panelist in t v history
It's 2020 and Gene's impression of Tarzan is racist.
???
How do you figure it's racist?
I think he was being sarcastic.
????????
Black loin cloth - then he said paleface … that’s what he meant by racist
The contestants already knew the answers.
I've seen Richard once put his answer down before the question was finished, that's how predictable they could be.
And yet most of the constants still never match of the celebrities on most of the questions
