  • Hi guys! Here is another video for you to watch for free. This time my own method of cylinder attachment I sometimes (NOT ALWAYS!!!) use. I call it (forgive me the name) “Michur’s Boltsnap Triangle”. It is nice when diving aluminium cylinders and for different reasons you don’t feel like clipping the boltsnap on the front D-ring when the bottom becomes positively buoyant or (my personal preference) when you plan to dive upside down and you wish to have the cylinders streamlined regardless of your own position in the water. Again I am asking those who like the video and appreciate my work to share and like it. You can do the same with my Sidemount Silesia fan page. Thank you very very much for that!

Today I am going to try the triangle to practice upside down and sideways manoeuvres - Double Enders at the ready!

Why no trainer (at least the one I know, or even Steve Martin) is using this method if it seems bulletproof when it comes to cylinder management? Setup once and forget! Makes me wonder 🤔

All metal to metal attachment. No cut point in case of clip failure.

You can use xdeep rubber drings. This presented configuration is dedicated for open water.

If a clip fails you won't need to cut it as it has failed. Do you mean jams closed, or becomes trapped. Also its clipped to the bolt snap on the cylinder which can be cut. Its also a double ender so two means of removal. I think Tomasz is thinking out of the box and has many innovative ideas when it comes to side mount rigging.

Cut the paracord holding the single end Bolt snap on, sorted.

Personally, I don't like this idea because this will increase the hassle of removing the cylinders for tight passage, hose stowage, etc. Sliding D-rings will be far convenient and simple, and the ideology of K.I.S.S is the way to go for diving.
