Why do they put a rubber grommet on one pin? I've tried to keep it in the back of my mind whether it's the front or rear pin but haven't documented my memory well enough to conduct any kind of study yet. Yes, I keep the pins in the same place I found them.

Should the cap for the master brake cylinder be removed before pushing the piston in to make room for the new pads?

And my ebrake doesn't work at all now, if I change the pads do I need to adjust it or will it go back to normal because of the new pads?
What would you say is the right price to pay for all 4 to be changed?

That looks like a new bracket compared to the ones i take off of vehicles in central Ny!
Awesome elaborate video. Is it typical to also change the parking brake shoes while the rotors are off? They cost under $20.

The lower bolt comes out easily if you simply lift the spindle on a jack stand slightly

Good question.The tool is just a small pry bar or you can use a large screw driver.
