My first speeding fine was by a VX Commodore. Back when they had Xenon D-Lights mounted on the dashboard for unmarked cars. Lots of people in the Sydney street racing community who couldn't afford a Skyline, got a VL Turbo.

They went faster than 200 n/a & 220 turbo... I've owned 5 VL's all stock 4 of them being the RB20 which was the most popular in NZ, 2 litre version of the 6 cylinder... I maxed my auto berlina wagon at 200 which was as high as the VL speedo would go... 3 litre owners could wind there's off the clock so I'm sure the turbo would better that...😉

The lady just told him “the rb30 turbo” then he said the “rb32 turbo”. Think the bloke was a bit nervous. Good job by the couple in looking after it and bring it back to original shape

I was hoping they would start the engine & pop the bonnet!

Yes, in St Marys in western sydney for speeding in my datsun 1600 back in 1988.
Around the same time of the cordia turbo also used by the police.
