What a stellar performance! I wish I could play like this... I have to play this tomorrow for an audition and I dream of my performance sounding half as good as this!
Ahhh French horn. I played it for 6 years in public school. I'm very glad that I did, even though it caused me a LOT of stress at the time (not the playing, but the logistics getting an instrument between 2 households [divorced parents with joint custody], and the fundraisers since I lived in the middle of nowhere half the time).
My HS marching band did a show titled "Scaramouche" 2 years ago and this song was included in the first part. It was clown/circus themed hence the name - Pennsbury 2018
This piece may look hard, but once you figure out some of the patterns, it's actually less hard than youd first. If you start slow and work your way up to that tempo
I thought this would not be possible for me to do, but then I found out it was a piece I could do for solo and ensemble. So decided to do it. I have a week left and I can say, it sounds a lot harder than it is. I’m a sophomore in HS and I was able to do it all up to tempo. Just believe in yourself!
I don’t think that the tempo is a problem, at least for me, but I have a bunch of experience, like 10 years, but for me the true challenge is on the hand because there is a lot of changes
This is actually just a stylistic choice. My saxophone professor was friends with this artist and he is having me play it exactly how it sounds here. This includes the extra couple of notes, extra two bar rest, etc.
okay, my guess is that the creator forgot to include these tags, so let me do them a favor: 6th of the fatui harbingers | balladeer | kabuikimono | kunikuzushi | scaramouche | the wanderer if you weren't aware of it, this was very much a joke.
Fighting the piano from 170-185. I like the sound and the tone but the style you chose ruins the flow in my opinion. You change the articulations at will and it in turn changes the whole song itself for the measures you do that. I'd stick to the page because god damn your tone is amazing and you can play the hell out of this song. Also keep in mind I'm really only talking about Brazileria. It says it at the beginning of the movement "Mouvt de Samba" Samba music flows rather than jabs. Still killed it though.

I’ve been playing French horn and been first chair for 3 years, this makes me want to play the saxophone from now on
Can we switch? 😂
Power move, play this on horn

Dat tone quality.
Omg 😮 I love this solo
I give up on saxophone. Lol. Maybe i could play some of this piece at like 10% tempo written. Lol

It's my favourite classical piece to perform on saxophone.

I perform it in a exam. I do a mistake at the end of the 1rst movement when there are many sharp and flat

Thank you suggestions box for giving me this solo
I love every bit of this
The third movement is exaggeratedly fast. I don't know if it really captures the rhythm of samba and MPB, which the composer wanted
Agreed. A lot of recordings do that and I don’t like it
I play this piece now... my organ transcription and sax😇

Sometimes the main part is too soft for the background

At what tempo is the first track?
I play at ¶=120
This is extremely late, but between 120-130 is a good tempo. No need to go too too fast
