A little tip when changing the width or height of the canvas. Instead of using a calculator, you can do maths directly in Photoshop. For example, you have 1080px and you want 4 of these you do 1080*4 and Photoshop will do the maths for you.
There's actually an easier way to export all parts instead of cropping it and then export individually . Slice each part by using the slice tool then click File > Save for web > on the Image size panel, change the quality to bicubic sharper.
Sometimes when I do it this way, it creates a 1 pixel wide image in between ... as if I missed the slice tool by a liiiiiitle bit. I try it like five times and eventually give up. Lol. Any ideas?
And you produce the slices automatically. Use the slice tool - right click - seperate slices ? (Sorry I use the german version, so i don't know how they translated it)
2:43: Start of Carousel Designing / multiply canvas 1080*4 and Photoshop will do the math. 3:30: Adding Dividers for each images. 8:21: Exporting images
Another tip..you don't have to save each and every image one by one...there is an automatic way to do that in photoshop..just select the Slice tool from the crop tool section and select" slice from guides" in the top. Then go to file> export >save for web legacy. With the format changed to JPEG and all the other settings to the default, select the folder you want to save and hit save .
Very informative video. I'm curious though how did you create those mockups for the can. If you can share how you created them, that would be great! Thanks!
@@CodyBrownDesign oh please be my guest 😳, i did what you teach on the video with a little twist so i could make the background of 9 of my posts. instagram.com/rosequartzpty?igshid=1iu0d77q8yb30
Great tutorial thank you! I’m having issues with my uploads they are coming out pixelated. I’ve copied your settings exactly. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Thanks for tuning in Albinos. Did you get to 6:04 where I go through my rationale of my layout and thinking? Also, I try to keep these tutorials from being too long winded and dense because I know folks want to get right to the point. But your feedback makes sense. I’ll do a better job of not speeding up too much.
@@CodyBrownDesign Hi Cody. Thanks for the reply appreciate that. I did see the complete video, but still I am not sure how much is to be learned here other than det an idea how to do layout of the images. I didnt learn how to actually make and do an example. Maybe you could make a new tutorial example how to go from a-z? step by step by a real example that would be more helpful to me as a fresh instagrammer:-) Hope to see it soon, thanks have a great day
in the home page of Ps, while creating a new doc, in the dimentions you can type *1080*x* where *x* is the number of frames u want in this way dont need a calculator! and instead using square to position your guides: view > new guides layout and there u are!

@@mattoney4711 I hope you can use slice by guides in this instance for this before exporting
Exactly! Other option is, design everything in artboard.
And you produce the slices automatically. Use the slice tool - right click - seperate slices ? (Sorry I use the german version, so i don't know how they translated it)
wtf there is an even easyer way on illustrator just create 6 600x600px artboards without space in a row and just export
